Makki was entertaining herself briefly with the light falling snow. She'd leap and land to make paw prints. When she landed, they would be larger then her own paws were. She looked down at them, wanting her paws to be large enough to fill her own prints. She looked up and gave a soft howl. She was here, and now anyone around would know she was. Not that many bothered with this part of the forest. She stood there, waiting for a reply for a moment.

Kria's ears perked, someone was howling...or rather, they were announcing themselves. She peeked a little cautiously out from behind the tree she had been investigating. The helix she saw looked almost crazy, hopping about in the snow.
Almost timidly, just because she hadn't practiced, she howled back, a small piercing puppy howl, that sounded more like a yip than a real howl.

(XD Puppy howl makes me giggles)
Makki stopped and turned around. A reply? She scanned the trees for who would have replied. She almost missed the small blue pup in the shadows against the snow. She smiled and lowered her head, looking at the small one. "Well hello." She said softly. How long had she been there? Did she see her frolic? How disgraceful that would have been! "Are you lost?"

Her ears cocked at the question of being lost, she then held herself up as big as she could and boldly yipped at the helix in front of her, "Of course I'm not lost, I'm exploring." It was the truth, and even if she was a little lost, it wasn't too big a deal. She was a loner anyway. "What about you?" Her narrowed eyes seemed to scrutinize the older helix, "You seem either lost or crazy, not sure which though."

Makki snorted at the question. "This is my little slice of heaven." She laughed then. "I'm just letting people know I'm here, and this is my territory." She knew that if some bigger helix wanted to come along and take over the land she called home, they would. She wasn't big enough yet to defend what she called hers.
"Exploring, hm? Have you found anything good?" She gave a few steps over towards the pup.

She grinned at the older helix, "Well, I found a silly helix bouncing in the snow, so I'd say that was interesting." She giggled, and sat down in the snow, "Maybe a few other things, but why should I tell you?" Her tone was challenging for a young pup. Kria hadn't run into any of her kind before now and it was interesting to see how others acted. She was just a little more reserved around this helix than she thought she would be.

Makki smirked. "Maybe if you tell me... I'll go easy on you." She said before leaping towards the pup, landing just a few inches away from her. She was grinning widely now, trying hard not to laugh. Then she stood up. "So who are you? And where are you from, pup?"

The leap towards her didn't startle her, nor did the landing. She looked at her with another challenging look, "Go easy on me? If you can catch me that is." It was cheeky, and sounded very silly coming from a snow be-speckled pup. Shaking her head she let some of the un-melted flakes fly, "Kria, and I come from the south." Her tone was cheeky as she spoke, her ears flicking to get rid of more snow

Something about this pup was a little unsettling. Far too familiar. She's way too much like me. "I'm Makki. You should remember my name." She stood tall, towering over the pup and looking down at her. She liked this kid. Cheeky and rude.

"Mmm, plan on leading a pack some day?" Kria sat back on her haunches, balancing rather well for such a young pup. Sitting like this she was only a few inches shorter than Makki. Her eyes were very clear as she looked at the older helix. "Well then remember my name too, I plan on being a legend." The grin on her face was one that spoke volumes of how she decided this and also told of how smug the little pup could be. She had no pack behind her, and being alone was preferable most times, it was only chance that allowed her to meet Makki.

"I will. I'll have a mighty pack." She stated bluntly. "If you become a legend, I'll be sure to recount your adventures to my pack's young." Her smile masked weather she was being serious or if she was just humoring the younger pup. "What will your legacy be?" She asked, turning her head to the side, looking around.

Now there was a question, what was her legacy going to be? She grinned even more, "I'll become a goddess and have a human as my pet." The improbable nature of such a huge idea was...alarming to most, the squirrels had about fallen out of their trees laughing at her when she'd informed them of her plan.
Of course, she wasn't entirely sure what a human was, only having heard odd descriptions of them from other wildlife, so that was going to be difficult, and the rumors of the goddess's that had interested her only made her ideal become more unattainable from any creatures point of view. Well, it was a dream, and a large one for a very, very, young pup.

Makki's grin returned, wider then ever. "A goddes, hm? That's quite a feat. The journey will be hard of course. You're scruffy little body can't take it on yet." She plopped a paw onto the girl's head. "You need to grow up first. Get big and strong."
"I'm not so sure about the human pet though. I've heard tales of them... They themselves seem they could be gods. So that will also be a true testament to your greatness! But I'd take it one thing at a time."

Kria knew what the Makki was speaking of. They were tasks that would take time, and as far as Kria was concerned, she had plenty of time to grow up and make her legend true.
"Well, like I said, a legend is what I want to become, so I set those two goals. I'm aiming for the human as a pet first though. Seems to be something that has more truth behind it than just that of being a goddess." The pup shook off the paw on her head, Makki's paw leaving a wet print of snow on her blue fur.

Makki grinned. "Well, then the first step would be to see a human, right?" She tried to not laugh at the girl's wet fur. Some of it sticking up in unflattering ways. "I hear there are human settlements around the world. It might be good to start looking into them and observing."
