"Meeeeesssssaaaaaaa, deeeaaaaarrrrr!"
The loud chirp of the sauntered voice broke through the atmosphere, cackling the trees into a silent submission as flying pokemon dashed away from the source of the sound. The loud padding of a certain female canine's feet rocked against the ground before it came to a roaring stop. Followed by such heavy steps came hoof beats, going at a much slower rate that that of the main lead. Meeka slid down the back of the Houndoom, patting her side lightly with her hand. "Thanks Miss Heila!" she giggled as the female licked her face gingerly. The breeder stepped forward slightly, waving at the well hesitantly dressed blond a couple of feet in front of her. "Messa, cous! You finally graduated Ranger School? Welcome to Zatao!" Meeka open her arms and ran towards her cousin who was blinking in her very direction.
"Um...well...I...Eek!" Messa softly said before moving out of the way of her cousin's hostile greeting. Three minutes within the new region and it is already this loud! Messa tightened her grip around her Panddiursa before turning around to her cousin who was now on the floor. "Um...Meeka...It's gooo...good to see you again. Um...It's kind of late and I am really...hungry. Can we...go to a park and...eat...? Uncle...Esteev...gave me lunch...to travel with. But...it was so much...I do not think...I can finish it...on my own."
Meeka picked herself off the floor and smiled sheepishly. "Yes, food! Pops all makes the best grub! Let's get a move on!" Meeka happily said in her deep country accent while grabbing Messa's hand and dragging her on.
Messa squeaked from the sudden pull. She walked along with her cousin, hand in hand. It was quite embarrassing in honest truth. She was old enough to walk on her own!
Kiru wiggled within the grip of Messa. She was holding him so tight that it was uncomfortable! His snoring began again however as they reached the vicinity of the park.
With Ebba and Heila following after, Meeka turned as she presented the park of being some fantastic show. "Okay!" she giggled as she winked at Messa. "We shall have lunch here...Okay, so let's open that...huh?" Meeka turned for a bit as her PokeGear toned with a ring. "Give me a minute Messa." Meeka said as she forcefully pushed the side button and the ringing came to silence. Meeka whispered heavily into the PokeGear before turning to Messa and saying. "Sorry cous! Seems as though there is some...trouble at the General Store. I will have to meet ya later upon having lunch. Go have fun exploring Katarina!" With that, the breeder climbed on Heila and bolted out of there. Of course, being followed by a VERY lazy deer.
Messa squeaked as she was left all alone. What in the world? She is invited out by her cousin to Zatao and now she is abadoned by her? Meesa squeaked again as she panicked. She didn't know what to do. She squeezed Kiru tighter, which caused him to stir from his slumber. What to do? Immediately, Messa lightly called out, "...Help!" into the surrounding area. Someone should of have heard her...! Someone must of!

Evelyn had heard. The large, brown teddiursa looked up from the berry bush that had been keeping her occupied, her ears perked up. She thought she had heard the word 'food' said a couple of times. Food was good. Evelyn wiped the berry juice from her muzzle and trundled off to find the source of the noise.
When she appeared in the clearing, she spotted a certain panda teddiursa that she recognized. Hey, she had fought him before! Maybe he remembered, and would give her some food. Evelyn let out a short growling bark, a trick that she had copied from Anima the Furret, before running at Messa, her little fluffy tail wagging furiously.
When she reached the ranger, she leaped at her. All thirty-something pounds of her. "(FOOOOOOOOD!!)" she shouted merrily in Pokemon language.

Kiru shot his eyes open and quickly dove out of the way. Whew! That was a close one! He fell back asleep on the grass however. It was too comfy!
Messa flailed as the Teddiursa much more heavier than Kiru overtook her. She fell towards the floor, landing with a thump. She blinked before flailing. "Huh? Huh? Who...who are you?" she questioned to the Teddiursa, wondering where the other came from.

"(I'm Evelyn. Can I have some food?)" she asked. Of course, all Messa could hear was, "Teddi sa. Ursa sa ted?" This, of course, was unhelpful to the ranger. Evelyn looked around from her perch on Messa's lap and spotted Kiru. "(Hey! Sleepy! Remember me? Can I have some food? I mean, can I have some food, please?)" she said to the sleeping bear. She remembered that good manners got her treats more often than bad ones.
Not knowing how large and heavy she was to the trainer, Evelyn made no effort to get off. She sat up on her hind legs, claws digging into Messa's clothes for purchase, and sniffed the air with a well-practiced nose. Yep, there was food. But was this the help-yourself kind of food, or the NO, EVELYN! DON'T EAT THAT!! kind of food?

Kiru half-opened his eyes to Evelyn who seemed to be making a ruckus. "No." he simply said with a yawn. "You deserve no food. You haven't..." he paused to yawn again. "...haven't the right to obtain food from Messa...Leave...you horrible..." another yawn. "...vile...creature..." With that, Kiru fell asleep.
Messa smiled. Quite cute! Nodding her head, she forwarded the basket and opened it up. Pulling out some fruit sandwich made up of several berry types, she offered half in the direction of the Teddiursa who she wished would get off her. "Hmm?" she said smiling.
But before Messa could even give the sandwich to Evelyn, Kiru slid off Messa and swiped the sandwich in between his teeth and swallowed. "No!" he growled heavily before falling to the grass.
Messa frowned. "How mean Kiru!" she said as she searched inside the basket once more. She smiled when she found the Enigma Berry she was saving for Kiru. "Here you go Teddi." she said, smiling. "You can have it, since Kiru was being greedy."
Sneering, Kiru slapped at Messa's hand which caused the berry to go flying. Kiru followed after it. He was not giving up HIS berry for no one!

Evelyn was mad. She didn't care that Kiru had been mean and called her names; that wasn't the problem. The fact that this nice trainer was about to give her food made Evelyn's hopes soar. And then that sleepy Kiru went and stole the food! Evelyn's hopes had crashed, but then were raised once again when she saw the berry. Now Kiru was going to eat it! Not if Evelyn could stop him!
"MY FOOD!!" she roared, leaping off of the trainer. She hurtled towards Kiru with amazing speed; nothing got Evelyn going faster than food. When she caught up, she barreled stright into Kiru. She snarled and swiped at the black and white teddiursa. "MY FOOD!" she shouted again. Where was it?
Evelyn spotted the berry a few feet ahead. She pushed Kiru hard, then lunged forward.
