So the setting is Ashnard, Nils, Bishop-Guy Renault, Dragon of the Fire sorts and Amelia go in search of food. Yay us! Now then, on with the show!

Renault walked along calmly, sort-of leading the group next to Ashnard. "Hmm, well, we should be coming up on the town soon," he told the others. "At least, that's assuming that we haven't been turned around in the blizzard, though I doubt that's likely. But once we get to the town. . ." The bishop closed his eyes for a moment. "I'm a bit afraid of what we'll find there. . . given those noises earlier, at least."

Amelia traipsed quietly through the snow, listening to the heavy crunching footsteps as they walked. The people before her cut a rather wide swath through the thick snow before them, making it easier for her to walk. "I think Merlinus' tent should be near the edge of town," she commented absently. "Though I could be wrong."

(Nils is offline right now, so I'll take over for both of us meanwhile I guess. It's an arrangement we have.)
"Y-yeah, guys. The feeling is getting stronger - they're close." Nils said, rubbing Nini's Grace between two fingers.
"Right, then." The Fire Dragon kept his eyes attentive to what was ahead. "Stay close, Kaoru."

Renault looked back at Ashnard. "Merlinus was Elibe's merchant, he kept things for us in his wagon. Apparently he has a shop of some sort now. . . As for where the shop it, it is on the edge of town, but unluckily the opposite edge from where we are. . ."

Amelia nodded to Nils and FD, holding her lance close. "What kind of presence is it?" she asked curiously. She looked around, knowing that any approaching creatures would stand out like an oak tree in the middle of a dirt road.

"Well, I would expect that it would be the monsters in the town," Renault stated matter-of-factly. "What else would have made those crashing sounds?" He paused, then looked back at the others. "By the way, there are probably going to be quite a few ripped-apart bodies. Just a heads-up."

Amelia gulped back something, and nodded. "Yeah," she told him. She looked around again. If something was going to attack, she wanted to at least know what was coming to be ready for it. "Just a heads-up."
