I've got a bit of news that may disappoint Twilight fans. Stephenie Meyer, the author, is a copy-cat. Twilight was published in 2005. I just happened to get the first two books of the series of four books that she copied. The Vampire Diaries by L. J. Smith is the original. Twilight isn't an exact copy, but it's so similar, it is extremely obvious. The Vampire Diaries were published in the early 1990's. The first Vampire Diaries book, The Awakening, was published in 1991. It's about an Italian vampire boy who was 17 when turned who moves to a small town and falls for an ordinary human girl 17 years old who falls for him and feels hurt when he tries to stay away from her because she smelled really strongly and good and he wanted to drink her blood so badly, but he liked her and didn't want to hurt her. And, what's more, he goes to the forest to drink the blood of wild animals so that he can survive without drinking the blood of humans. And the girls at the school all like him and think he's hot. There are a few more things. There aren't too many things that are different between the series. This is why copyright laws were made, so someone won't steal someone's ideas and make a profit worldwide from it when the original author didn't become so famous.

Twilight was so unoriginal even without the proof. sweatdrop I mean, Vampire falling in love with a human? Vampires vs Werewolves? Done many, many times before. stare (I'm a huge (emphasise on the HUGE) Twilight hater. xd )

I know, right? I'm not necessarily a Twilight hater, but I'm not nearly as big a fan as most American teenage girls. xd And, I like it much less now that I have proof she stole her ideas. I like the main guy vamp in the book she copied much better, though. 3nodding Even though I haven't gotten too far in it.

Oh Well Man the worst part is, that's not even the worst thing about it The worst part is everything, sadly. The fangirls, the plot, no character development at all. It was horrible. stare And the obssesive fangirls fangirl over a story that makes me want to stab my eyes out with paperclips. confused

He never shows emotions, who would want an emotionless p***k? And it annoys me to death that the author made it obvious that the male was dominate in the relationship. I mean, Bella could do absolutely nothing without Edward. stare /rant xd
