So, we've had two different people come out and say that they'd like to create a mascot of some sort for the clan. I'm all for encouraging people to be creative and I love seeing cool artwork. But I want to know what the members want. So first off, do you want a clan mascot? How would we use the clan Mascot? (I could put it in the newsletter or course... People who want could put it in their siggy) And if we do have a mascot, then what should it be? I'm afraid of my own ideas, since they all seem to have something to do with a Giant Squirrel because I love squirrels, or else having it be LANDSHARKyfins, my honey lovin sweetiepie whose kisses knock me right out! HEY! How about a Griffon? It sounds like something that would fit with the name. And although there are none in the backstory, it feels like the kinda thing that could be there. Griffons are strong but magical! Any thoughts on it? Anyway, tell us what you think, and definitely make suggestions for ideas for a mascot that would be appropriate! Feel free to refer to this thread that explains how the clan got its name for ideas!

I think it sounds like fun. I'd like to see something "connected" to Lord Deteric's story if at all possible.

My idea was to have some kind of angel imp guardian to be our clan mascot, what do you guys think? It connects with our clan as being guardians of the myrrh, but also connects with our clan being defenders of the people of gaia.

Yeah and some kind of armor, it will take a while before I churn out a finished artwork (because it takes a long time to color and i am seldom at home because of christmas parties and shuch XD )

I just had an idea... why dont we all give a tektek of how our angel imp could look like? It'll be fun and it'll also help me have an idea of what the clan wants the mascot to look like

most likely i will end up taking the tektek mascot winner image and making it a semi permanent image for myself.. with the sale of rings, affording it isn't an issue for me.. but we need more submissions if to make a contest out of it or vote on it..

Why not add it into the Newsletter? If you are doing another one.

Those are some neat ideas! I so like the angel imp with the hood a lot! If you draw it, you could just make it white, or maybe some sort of a blueish gray.
I think those hooded avies really DO have a feel that fits the backstory!
And I like Magical Witness' contributions too! Thanks!

I have 100% intention to turn my avatar into the mascot semi-permanently (shifting from it only for select holidays) once we have one selected. I am glad to see the Tektek submissions, because it gives me a sight of what it will potentially look like.. However, in order to make this a contest, I think we need to make a submission cut-off date, to allow for a voting time..
All in all, I would like to see us have the end of voting for the submissions in this contest by the end of January, because I would like to reveal that winning image on my avatar to kick off my 25th birthday, which is on February 10th.
So, those who have not put in submissions, please dont wait too long. Those who have, you are more than welcome to up your chances of winning the contest by entering more submissions than what you have now.
I will let you all in on a secret that I kept out of the History of the Guardians of Myhrr story..
Those who have been thinking of mascots with the three keywords "Magical", "Mystical", and "Mythical" in mind are on the right track if going for background accuracy.. those thinking along the lines of Powerful, Graceful, and Dangerous are also on the right track.. But keep in mind.. Dark does not always mean Evil, just as Light does not always mean Good.. I kinda wish I could find things to allow me to show you all something close to what appearance I had.. Alas, there isnt much along those lines.. So keep rolling them in!!
