AIM log -- Shariea & Felyn
Eyri & Tejasvi'Nila

For awhile now Eyri had been trying to make a point of going and seeing his sister. He knew she was a fairly busy lioness and it was for his reason he had kept putting it off. In no way did he want to be in the way or a possable nusience. But he knew that if he was she would tell him to go, but he always wanted to avoid that senario.

The white lion made his way over to where he supposed she would be, towards the Nihang clan grounds. It would be nice to visit with the family again and perhaps some of his neices would be around, it was hard to say really.

Tejasvi had actually managed to find some peace for once in her busy little life. One of her twins, the pink female, was curled up asleep between her paws. The more the days wore on, the more Tejasvi was leaning towards making Ardala the heir. Aladra would make a beautiful council member and a good support for her twin sister. There was no way for either of them to know what her decision was, and likely neither of them were much concerned with it. They would take her decision with a smile, she knew, for they were very well mannered and just little girls. She also knew that it would have to be soon - they would be reaching their adolescence very quickly and the true heir would need her last stages of training.

It was these thoughts that raced through her mind as Tejasvi sat beneath an old tree. The canopy overhead blocked out a great deal of light, leaving the jungle floor dark, sprinkled with a few chance rays of sun. The scent of her brother brought her attention up, her head turning to look in the direction the wind travelled. She let a brow raise before a half smile curled her maw. "Eyri, what brings you so far from the male lands?"

His sister was the absoulte picture of motherly deviotion in that moment, scattered dapples of light raining down on her and the little one between her paws as she found a moments rest. He almost felt sorry for disterbing her as he knew these moments where rare. There was no going back now though, as she had already addressed him. He offered her a small shy smile and chuckled. "well, I thought it would be nice to see my sister if she wasnt too busy and possably some of my Neices but I see they are sleeping."

He looked down at the small pink bundle between her paws and smiled. "seems the children are allowing you a moment to breath." He sat down before her and smiled a bit. "If you want I'll go and see you another time. I really dont want to be a bother."

"No, no," she said quietly, shaking her head as she looked down at Ardala, curled up between her paws. "The nanny actually took the others out for a walk, Ardala here is just a bit tired because she was out with me earlier." She shrugged lightly at this, her smile still in place. "Thus, all I'm really doing is watching her while she sleeps, as the nanny has his hands full with the others at the moment." It had been relatively lucky that both the litters had been small, or one nanny for both would have been pushing it.

"You can stay and talk, and visit Ardala a bit if she wakes up before you leave," she added the last bit with a nod to the little pink bundle between her bright blue paws, wiggling them a bit for effect, showing just how dead asleep the little one seemed to be.

Eyri smiled as he was allowed to stay. "ahh well thank you." he was bit sad he had missed the others but he was sure there would be another time to see them. He watched with intrest as she moved her paws, and the little pink cub just continued to lay there. He gave a light chuckle. "I doubt she will be waking any time soon." he smirked.

He wondered for a moment if the pink girl was hanging around with her for special training, however none of that was his business and he quickly dismissed it from his mind. "She must have been having a grand time to be sleeping so soundly." he sad as he continued to watch her sleep. "as I am sure the others will crash when they return." He moved his gaze from the cub to her and smiled. "Its good to see you pausing anrough to catch your breath."

"I doubt she will either," she said with a light chuckle, leaning down to affectionately lick the top of the little one's head, though all it caused was a slight shift in the cub's position before she went right back to her dream land. "We were gone for quite a while, patrolling the borders. We even saw a rogue, looking for some lost love of his. He was harmless enough, but a touch odd." She shook her head as if in wonder as she recalled it, but there was definitely an amused smirk on her maw - she had enjoyed the encounter enough to remember it fondly.

"Ah, well, I think she had fun. It was her first time meeting a male outside the pride and I'm sure the others will be just as tired when they come home - trekking through the jungle is hard for any cub this age." She laughed softly as she looked away from her cub and up to her brother once more, "truthfully, I think the nanny does it on purpose so that he can take a rest. His job is a bit harder than mine is at the moment, at least concerning the cubs." She knew to give credit where credit was due - males had the hardest part of raising cubs when they were younger. At his later comment, she simply nodded and smiled, looking down awkwardly. She had never been good at facing those sorts of comments.

"I take the days one at a time and do what I must - breaths are caught when they can be. It's good to see you though, what brings you all the way here?" Her eyes glanced up once more, bright and shining like two emeralds in a sea of blue.

He nodded a bit and smiled as he watched the pink fluff ball shift positions and curl up once more to sleep. He doubted she was even consious of her movments. He wondered if one cub would really make that much difference, though having never been father he couldnt judge. He supposed it depended on the cub, and as he didnt know any of them he couldnt rightly say. He flicked his tail and smirked. "Ah well Im sure he has his paws full. "

At her question he shruged his shoulders. "Honestly I havent seen you really for awhile, and I hadnt seen any of the cubs since birth so I was just feeling sentamental and thought if you where not busy I would stop by for a moment to see you and them. I seem to have missed most of the lot but at least I got to see this one here."

"I'm sure she does," she said with a little nod, though she wasn't particularly concerned. He had survived thus far and he was close to being finished with his duty. The cubs would reach age soon and he would take her son back with him when he left to return to the males, while the females would begin their training. That's when Tejasvi would have her paws full - at least she had Kianga to aid her, though.

"You could get in trouble for walking into the female lands for no other reason than that," she said with a small quirk of her brow in his direction, although her voice wasn't chastizing in the least. He was the queen's brother, even if he wasn't technically recognized by her clan anymore. He was given a little more leave to wander than others. "But I'm flattered you thought so much of us to come and visit, and I'm sorry that the rest of the cubs are out with the nanny, and that little Ardala here is fast asleep." She smiled at him, her tail flicking slightly. "Are you that lonely, brother of mine?"

Eyri couldnt wait for his nephew to join into the male ranks, he wanted to spend time with him and help him through the changes even though he'd never formally met the lad. He smirked a bit at his sisters quirk but quickly removed it from his face. He knew he could get in trouble. he wasnt escorted and didnt really have any reason to be in there lands. He knew she slightly disproved but was glad it ended there. Last thing he wanted was for her to become cross with him. "I suppose you might say that. I know I have no place here but a brother misses his sister as does any family at times. I ask your pardon at this indiscretion"

"It would be my luck that they are sleeping but I know I will see them all sometime, at least the boy when it comes time.. judging by her size it wont be too terrably long in coming."

"I know, I know, which is why I'm not too terribly cross with you," she said with a light smirk, choosing to ignore his momentary slip of his own. She shifted until she could lay herself down comfortably on her belly, her head still raised abover the cub curled up between her paws. "I miss you too, Eyri, as all families miss the males that leave. The ways are the ways, though," she said softly.

Her brow furrowed a little as he brought up the mention of her son and how quickly they were growing. It was true that she missed Eyri, he had been her close friend and companion as a cub, and she couldn't think what it would be like to have her son leave. She supposed that must be partly why the cubs were raised by males - so it would hurt less when it came time for the sons to part. Still, it was a troublesome thought. "Yes, the time is very near indeed," she said, softer still, shifting to look down at her young heir affectionately.

He nodded his head in agreement, the ways where the ways and it was not his place to question them at all. From now on he would be careful and make sure he had a good reason to come into the lands rather than a simple heart ache to see what was left of the family. He didnt want his sister to become cross with him and he also didnt want any talk on his behalf about breaking rules. Eyri was not a rebel in any shape of the word, and he did not want trouble for anyone should his actions be taken in the wrong way.

He noted the soft tone of her voice, he knew the ache of a mothers heart must be at least in part akin to the pain he felt being away from everyone. It was very hard at first once the excitment of being of age had worn off. He chose to let this subject drop, lest he cause anymore undo pain to his sisters heart. Letting the cubs go would be hard, but she would also have her paws full with the girls, training them to be fine warriors and perhaps even an heir.

His tail flicked softly and he looked at her and he sighed softly. "Well they are still young yet." he attempted to recant by his earlyer statment.

"Yes, they are," she said softly, forcing a sad smile on her maw as she lifted her head up. These were not things to trouble a male with - she could let her woes be spoken of with Kianga later, who doubtlessly understand the pain of their son coming to age because, well, he was her son too.

"What of you, Eyri, have you not thought of having your own family yet?" she tilted her head at him, really simply looking for a subject change, though she was partly curious. It was a good idea for a queen to keep track of where her blood line ended up. She realized Eyri himself couldn't exactly decide when he wanted to have cubs, at least not with a female within the pride, but he could make himself obvious to females around him in hopes they might choose him. He was rather pale and badly colored, but his blood line might make up for some of that.

Eyri himself was happy for the subject change as he seemed to have handled that situation poorly. He smiled at her, a geniune smile and nodded. "Yes, its something I have often thought about. I think I would make a good caretaker of the children at least." he paused and continued to smile. Some males bumbled with the cubs at first and he was sure he would too, having ones paws suddenly full of cubs to care for.

"I think...its the greatest joy a male can experiance in one lifetime and I want to experiance it someday. Perhaps oneday a female might fancy me, one can hope at least. " he nodded quietly to himself. He knew his coloration greatly reduced his chances but he hoped that maybe someday they would choose him.

She smiled at his answer, brighter than she had before after he had mentioned her son and the cubs coming of age. It was good to see that there were some males in the pride that still looked forward to doing their duties, and with such high hopes. She could understand why Eyri had been born into the royal clan, anyone could after they spent just a little time with him. Even if he was not colored so brilliantly, his soul was one of the most beautiful she had ever seen in a Kunanda male.

"I'm glad you look forward to your duties, Eyri, if every other male were like you I would sleep much better at night," she nodded at this, a thoughtful look to her eyes. "I think you would be a good father to your cubs and any female would be lucky to have you to raise them."

Eyri took her words to heart and he smiled kindly at her. His sister had always been good at reinstalling his confendence in himself. Sometimes he didnt feel worthy of her kindness. "Thank you.. that really.. really means alot to me." he said.

It was true that the situation with some of the males bothered him, and he even found himself envious of some of them as they had had the oportunity to raise children and spoke poorly of or spoke poorly of their status. He had heard less of things lately of which he was glad. Still it bothered him. As his sister had stated wisely before, things are the way they are. The way is the way, its not their place to question any of it.

Things had survied this way for many years, they had ridden out the even ridden out the plague and where going stronger again. It was tom foolery to think that things could be better in a different way.

"It has been great to see you, but I should be going and leave you be. As you said I dont have a better reason for being out here and its best to get back quickly. Thank you." he said to her, as much as for the meeting as for the talk.

She simply nodded at his praise, again a bit unsure how to respond to it. She was happy that she had made him feel better, or given him more confidence, whatever it was that she had done. She knew her words went a long way with many in this pride, and she was simply glad that she meant that much to them. Thus, she could only smile and nod at him as if she understood. He was a male, though, so who knew how their minds really worked?

"Yes, you should probably be getting back," she said with a soft laugh. She imagined the cubs would be back soon and the last thing she needed was to have them try to avoid napping by playing with their uncle, as much as he wanted to see them. "I'm sorry you couldn't see the cubs, but maybe another time? I'm very glad you came to visit, though." For all it was worth, her last comment was genuine. It was nice to see him once in a while.
