Gaia actually has an ad for a book that will even grant 100 gold if you watch it:

http://www.gaiaonline.com/profiles/?u=16675910

I know I have a thread for some of the books by this author in the Fantasy subforum.

The acting is a bit... lacking. sweatdrop But yes, good thing for book promotion!
Just wish authors weren't so eager to jump on the vampire craze... I'm growing sick of it.

I realize it's a bit lacking, alas. I know the video kept cutting out after about 15 seconds when I tried to watch it.

I'm sure once the vampires have been raped exploited to death that the werewolves will be next.

Heh. I read this even as my issue of Publishers Weekly lies open to an article called "The Next Dead Thing" about teen books and supernatural characters. The main focus seems to be zombies, though the second half of the article discusses werewolf books (anyone remember Blood and Chcolate?).

Thanks for the link. I hadn't noticed it before.
I wouldn't mind a few novels that take a somewhat in-depth look at zombies. Perhaps I should ask around in the Sci Fi forum and see if there are any out there.
Anything to move us past the vampire stage, really. I've enjoyed most of the ones I've read, but it's getting a bit overkill now, especially after Twilight's popularity.

I love that book! But they butchered it in the movie. crying

But it would be intriguing to have a book with a zombie protagonist... I've never heard of such a thing. Are there any out there?

Well, the article mentioned Generation Dead, by Daniel Waters (I loved the phrase "living impaired").

Here's another ad! This time it's for Three Willows:

This is wonderful that Gaia understands that we're not just a community of internet-driven people! xD
I like this concept of advertising for books. At least it gets people interested and willing to seek out information, though I think the gold incentive is more of a reason for looking into it for most people on here. sweatdrop

I hope other people keep their eyes peeled for book ads, and post them here!

Another book-related ad!

It offers a free book download.

I actually already read the Alchemyst, I can't say I really liked it. It wasn't bad or anything, just kind of predictable. Though the ending surprised me a little bit.

Huh. Gaia's really pushing the Alchemyst thing. I wonder what made them decide on it.
