I think that they can't take them away without proof. I'm sure that if he speaks out on the behalf of his parents, if he tells people his sister is lying, that everything will work out.

I'm sorry but there isn't a whole lot you can do. I know this is very traumatic for you but online friends are just that. Online friends. When you don't know them it real life you are pretty powerless to help. Support him the best you can but you are going to have to come to terms with the fact that he may be leaving your life.

They can't take anyone awayt with out phisical proof. If she is lying then theres nothing to worrie about. But if she isn't i'm afraid theres really nothing you can do. Sorry

I don't know what to tell you, but I was friends with a girl back in junior high school that lied and said her stepfather was abusive to her, when he really wasn't... she just didn't like the guy, probably because she felt he invaded her life and she didn't approve of her mother marrying him. She saw it as the only way of getting him out of her life - which was a pretty stupid solution, because of course that doesn't work. She even went around school bragging that she had lied about everything, so when the police came and asked her friends if they had witnessed him do anything - it was blatantly clear that she was lying - especially since there was no physical evidence of him touching her.

If this girl you say starts claiming things like child molestation, however, that's another thing entirely. Only rape can usually be proven with evidence after the fact, but even that is still pretty sketchy. I'd say your friend's family will probably have this all thrown out, but they're really in it for the long haul. Sometimes families can have the police investigating them for weeks, if not months or more.

I don't think they will be taken away without someone investigating first. If their parents do beat them then it is in their best interest to be in a safe place. If he is going away you can give him something to keep in touch with incase he can acsess the internet again like an email address or a username to a website which allows PMs.

When I was in grade school one of my friends told someone that my parents were abusive and there was a massive investigation. It was rediculous. Your friends sister is just doing it out of angst and for attention. They should not be able to take them away from their parents without interviewing all members of the family. That means that when they interview your friend, your friend can tell them that their parents are great parents and let them know they love them very much, and they love your friend also. Then your friend should answer all of their questions carefully and make sure to tell them that the sister is just doing this stuff for attention.

Everything will be fine. ^-^

To some people online friends can be just as close as real friends, so whether or not she knows this person is irrelevant.

Anyway, it is much, much harder for children to be taken from their parents than people seem to think.
I have a lot of experience with this situation, and kids generally aren't removed from homes if they don't want to be (if they're old enough to make the decision) and they definitely won't be removed if there isn't any proof.
In fact, the way the system works, kids sometimes aren't even removed if there is proof.
There are so many abused child cases and too few people to handle them, because of this, DCF (department of children and families) or whatever organization that will handle this, won't waste their time removing him from his home without proof.

What will happen is that the report will go on record, someone will probably come to his house to talk about it, and without proof, they will probably give the parents a warning, and they'll leave.
I really don't think you need to worry about it.

You can PM me if you want more details on how the process works, if you'd like. gonk
