SongWriter ruffled up his feathers as he perched tranquilly on a tree branch in the front yard of the house his human was staying in. Their stay here was paid by a couple of chores that elderly couple could not do on their own and a rest from cooking dinner every night. The pidgeot cleaning and preening his feathers, waiting for the human to wake up, which wouldn't be long from now, it was almost noon. He peeked on the window, seeing the poor man sleeping on the bed, sweating. Of course, the house was warm, and Adriel was by far too used to the cold of nature of this winter. Writer had yet to experience a summer with his new 'family', but he had a suspicion that they would travel even more at night just to avoid most of the heat. Upon looking closely, he couldn't see the feline.

The persian stretched out his limbs just as he existed the house, giving a purr of thank you to the elderly woman that open the door for him. Leaping upon the snow covered yard, he turned his head to large bird on the tree and tilted it. ""

"" The bird answer with a soft chirp. <"Lord Adriel seems to still be sleeping...>"

""

""

Faraon chuckled. "" He said before the bird question Lock's preference. ""
The rather large persian leaped about the deep snow until he leaped off into the side walk. Sniffing the cold air for a moment before he began walking silently down the street, his chain necklace barely making a sound as he moved almost calmly. Ears perked up and alert, thought.

Chaos padded easily through the snow, not going anywhere in particular. His only consolation was that it did indeed snow in the town, similarly to how it did back in Inhinx. The absol still had not been able to face his one great enemy, Isamu. In fact, Chaos had not even seen him as of yet. He growled, tearing through the snow and into the ground with his claws.

Suddenly, he heard someone coming. They were quite close, so they must have been walking almost silently. Chaos turned, growling, then relaxed. It was just an old persian, blind by the looks of it. Chaos paused, not knowing if he should continue on or wait for the persian to come closer. He had no reason to be friendly, and a feline companion was not what he had in mind, but perhaps it would be nice to talk. If he did not like the old pokemon, he could simply leave. The persian probably did not have much strength left, anyhow. Old and blind. Chaos would never be that way!

Faraon's ears twitched ever so slightly, picking up the growl. His eyes close for a moment, preventing anyone from seeing him roll them. Jeez, what a friendly greeting to one blind. Reopening them, he smirked, indeed, he might be blind, but he could plainly see the dark face of absol against the bright white fur and snow. It was just a faintest of light grey against white, but he could see it, just a blotch.

Approaching closely, he sniffed in the direction of the absol, even thought he knew he was there already. Just to assert the age and gender of the other, you could guess by sound, but scent was more accurate. "" He said simply with a warm smile.

Oh great. This was a typical old geezer, polite and boring. Probably the grandpa would be telling stories of his past before long. Not thinking that Faraon would see it, Chaos didn't bother to hide his eyes as he rolled them. "(Hello. I am called Beautiful Chaos; who are you?)" Though his thoughts may be less than respectful, that didn't mean that he regularly was rude to strange pokemon. The persian was larger than he, after all.

Chaos sniffed in Faraon's direction. Despite his age, the persian smelled healthy. Perhaps Chaos had underestimated him... Or maybe not.

The feline smirked inwardly at the response. No, he couldn't see the other rolling his eyes, but his sensitive ears could pick the under tones in the other's voice. "" He answer in politeness. "" Faraon abbreviated the name without asking the other's preference, something that uncommon if he was just any old codger. The blue eyes behind their milky prison of blindness seem to glitter in life. He wonder if this pokemon would be good company for a short walk. He could ditch him later if he saw nothing in him.

Chaos watched Faraon carefully. He seemed to be quite intelligent, even tricky. Chaos would have to be careful. He noted that Faraon accurately shortened his name, calling him Chaos instead of Beautiful Chaos. But then, his full name was a mouthful, and who would call a male Absol simply 'Beautiful'? "(I was taking a walk. I was just thinking about where I used to live, and about someone I want to kill.)" Well, Chaos didn't really want to kill Isamu; just beat him up. But saying that he wanted to kill someone would give the old geezer something to chew on.

"(And I suppose you regularly come out in all weather?)" he said with just a hint of sarcasm. Sure, the persian's fur was thick, but they don't exactly originate from cold regions.

Faraon tilted his head, taking in the response. Kill someone. He would question that later, no need to get to know someone so soon so deeply and then ditch them.

A deep chuckle came from his thick muzzle. "" He smiled at the Absol with an air of youth. "" He knew his furcoat wasn't as thick as the absol, but he had been born and brought up with Adriel in the mountain town. Snow there was common for six out of the twelve months, so he was used to the weather and knew a couple of tricks if he happen to get cold. That said, he didn't suffer as badly as the human did in hot weather.

Chaos had no comeback to that. "(Well... I suppose that I have nothing to do at the moment.)" Chaos looked away. Was he feeling lonely? No, he just didn't care if he had a companion with him or not. At least he now knew that his first impression on the persian was false; he was not merely a blind old cat.

Chaos wasn't very good at starting or continuing conversations, having been in so few. He knew how to fight, but that was about as social as things got for him. Except for with that Delibird... Chaos gave a low, almost inaudible growl at the thought. Bell had exploited his one weakness, keeping him away from his goal.

The ears twitched again as he heard the almost non-existent growl. The feline decided to ask, he never been good at conversations either. "" He prefer conversations that were silent, where feelings, auras and unspoken doubts and questions were answer by just presence and memories.
PostPosted: Sun Dec 14, 2008 4:44 pm

Chaos bared his teeth as the old pokemon compared him to a pathetic eevee, but he kept his tone even. "(It's nothing. It's just someone I've met.)" The persian didn't have to know that it was actually his teammate that made him angry. Chaos also didn't know that Bell and Faraon had met, in a way; they had battled, at least.

Chaos used the blunt side of his red, upturned horn to scratch an itch on his leg. The silence was perfect to Chaos; snow muffled all, and there was no need to be heard when in solitude.

Of course, baring one's fangs at someone who cannot see them was..well...'special'. Faraon didn't seem to care or he just not detected this as they walk. ""

He stopped for a moment as the other scratched his leg. He uncurled and curled the tip of his tail, thinking to himself quietly. They weren't far from the more populate part of the town, but the persian had a mind to steer them elsewhere. He knew very well that he did not want to be petted by those brave or stupid enough. He like his breed, a lot of people knew better then to touch him.

Chaos had a hard time remembering that the persian was blind, since he walked so easily, but his actions were more to relieve his anger rather than to warn the feline. Chaos did not care much where he went, so he followed at the persian's side.

Chaos walked in silence. At times, there was no need to speak. At others, Chaos merely didn't know what to say. This would count as one of the other times. The absol opened his mouth, but then shut it again. He supposed that the persian might introduce a conversation topic when he felt the need. But that would be relying on a cat. And that went against Chaos's nature; he didn't rely on anyone but himself.

Keeping this in mind, the absol determinedly reopened his mouth. But he shut it again, feeling embarrassed. Oh well; Faraon couldn't have seen his sad attempts at conversation anyway.

Ah, but he could hear them. Inwardly smiling as he recognize the breath in through the mouth and the sudden exhale through the nose as the mild attempts of saying something. He didn't blame him for trying to strike a conversation.

Faraon didn't mind the silence at all, it let him take in other stuff, but he knew that sometimes words were needed. Just something to stimulate further or the like, yet, much like Chaos, he was never good at striking conversation, unless he was speaking with cubs. Chaos' size definitely told him that this was no cub.

A thought came to mind, a normal thing that exchanged between pokemon. "You wonder this town, that much i can tell, but I smell human on you. Do you guard a trainer?"He could pick the scent of a female human, which surprise him and didn't at the same time.

Chaos was grateful for the conversation, though he didn't show it. "Guard? No. I came here looking for someone. I had a little... mishap... and ended up making a deal with an ugly old witch." Chaos grinned inwardly as he thought what sort of expression the Delibird would make if she heard him calling her that. "After that, a human girl caught me. But as soon as I finish my goal, I'll leave. I have no other reason to stay... Maybe I'll go back to Inhinx." Chaos fell silent, staring moodily ahead.

"You smell of human as well," he stated. It wasn't a question; Chaos didn't want to appear curious. Still, he tilted his head in Faraon's direction, waiting for the cat to speak.

Faraon raises an eyebrow as he listen, wondering who this witch was and what this goal was. "Hmmm? I suppose I do." He smiled somewhat. "I been with him since I was a small meowth. He is a good human, thought I think the fumes from the herbs have made their damage..." He smirk slightly. "He's...a bit off in the head. I been told that's not the only part of him that's off, but I assume its some physical aspect of him I cannot phantom."
