The Snowstorm Track
A ralts owned by the pokemon committee of Zatao that sponsers the race teleports your team to the Moteore Freezelands in the midst of a freezing cold blizzard. Fortunately, you were given a warning before being booted to your frozen death so you had enough time to gather together some warm clothing for yourself and maybe for your pokemon as well. Since you can barely see two feet infront of yourself, you'll have to be very cautious of random changes in elevation and large rocks. Running into one would be quite painful. The trainers are being carefully monitored incase rescue is needed.
The ongoing snowstorm boosts ice type attacks (not general ice pokemon) by 25 HP. All non-ice pokemon will also be slowed down by 1 space every move because of the cold and low visual from all the snow. This track is 40 spaces long.

At least one member of Team Two must post an intro first by 8:50 PM EST or else the team is disqualified.
A member(s) of Team One must post an intro within 20 minutes of Team One's first post (Doesn't matter if you post in between the first and second member of team two)
xxBlindArtistxx will go attack/move first since it is two vs. one, so there is no need to roll dice on the intro. Look at example battles if you are confused about anything and feel free to PM FireFoxNinetails with any questions.

Ren put a comforting glove on the lean neck of her rental girafarig as it blew icey mists from her nostrils. Her neck quivered under her gental touch and one sparkling blue eye gazed at her. She could tell she was anxious to race.
The girafarig was outfitted in a wool blanket for warmth, an earmuff-like contraption to keep her from losing warmth from her ears, and a thich scarf wrapped around the second head on her tail. Ren was glad that her rental pokemon had hooves; they wouldn't get frostbite like normal paws would. As for Ren, she wore a coat over layered clothing, gloves, and snow boots. Her backpack was already packed with basic survival gear and food for herself and her rental pokemon. As an afterthough, she also packed a thermos of hot chocolate more for comfort then necessity.
Ren stepped into her sled and scooted in next to her pack. She pulled the warm blanket over her legs. Her girafarig shook her head making the harness bounce and pawed the ground with excitement for the coming race. Ren briefly glanced at the other team as she rubbed her hands together. Here we go...

Piney wrapped her coat closer in and was still freezing. She wished that she might have been on some other track, even the sandstorm one, to spare herself from the cold. And Era too. The poor Altaria was already strapped to the sleigh and fluffing up to keep warm. She wouldn't have the oppurtunity to do so once things get moving.
Turning to her opponent for the race, she was surprised to see a face she didn't know. But that didn't always mean that she wouldn't do well. Rubbing her gloves together, she climbed into the sled and shook some snow off the reins.
"Good luck!" She called out to her.

Angel shivered and rubbed her hands together rapidly for heat, though that tactic failed. She gave the blurry form of Era one worried glance before clambering onto the sled behind Piney. She heard her sister call out to the other racer, but Angel was preoccupied with huddling behind Piney and keeping her face buried in the back in front of her.

Ren smiled and waved back to her opponent and watched as her partner situate herself into their sled. Always good to have friendly opponents. "Ok," she shouted to her Girafarig, "Shall we start this race of with a bang?" She trumpeted in reply. "Sounds like a yes to me! Alright Girafarig, use Stomp!" With a woosh and another roar form Ren's rental, the sled surged forward.

Era barely got off the ground before she was bombarded by the Girafarig's hooves. Swatting them aside, she became airborne with a flap of her wings and jerked the sled forward.
This race was off to a rocky start already! Piney gripped the straps tightly as she strained forward with her eyes. She could barely see ahead of her! It was a wonder that the Altaria could, though she is flying...
"Dragonbreath!" She called out, hoping for paralysis.
Era scanned below her, looking for the yellow and brown figure of her enemy. When she spotted it, a rainbow colored stream of mysterious stuff poured out of her beak and onto the victims from above.

Ren thought quickly as the other pokemon returned her girafarig's attack with a rainbow-colored, gaseous stream.
"Dodge it Girafarig," she cried.
"Gira," she cried and pulled the sled to right, making it bounce as hit a small rock. That was close, Ren thought to herself.
"Good job Girafarig," she said and then turned to her opponents and shouted, "Two can play at this game! Girafarig, use pysbeam!"
A metallic rainbow-colored stream of light erupted from the girafarig's horn and streamed toward the foe Altaria .

Yup. This wasn't going really well. The sled swerved in all sorts of random directions as a confused Era flew around in circles. Piney held on for her life, trying to think of some way to fix this problem.
"Got it! Use Haze, now!"
The Altaria barely heard the command through all the snow and wind whistling through her ears. It didn't help that her mind couldn't comprehend a thing either. She struggled to conjure a black mist that enveloped herself and spewed downwards to affect everyone else.

Ren was pleased to see the rival Pokemon was suffering from confusion. It had worked!
"Good job Girafarig!"
"Gira," her rental pokemon replied happily.
"Ok let's pull ahead while they're confused. Onward!"

Well that didn't work. Piney didn't want to know how Era hurt herself with her own haze, but anything can happen when one is confused... She also began flying backwards, much to her amusement and frustration. Pulling on her with the reins, she hoped to guide her into the right direction so they can get back on track.
"Come on... use a Safeguard instead actually!"
Era was still dizzy from confusion, and her previous attack smelled funny. Letting out a warbling note, she scattered some silvery dust everywhere, but mainly around herself. And sneezed a bit. Not a good sign.

Ren glanced behind and noticed the confusion begining to wear off as their Altaria preformed safeguard. Time to go back on the offensive. Can't let them get the upperhand.

Piney clenched her teeth as Era took the critical hit stomp. First the confusion, now that? They hadn't even moved a space last turn, but they can't give up yet!
"Don't worry Era!" She called out as she flailed from the attack. "Paralyze the opponent! Dragonbreath!"
The Altaria fluttered higher, trying to stay out of its reach, and breathed some more multicolored stuff onto them. Hopefully it'll work this time!
