 Cowering in a thicket, little Houkou alone and confused the flame on his paws and back illuminates the area with an eerie blue glow. He is looking around warily but keeping his head down. He doesn’t know how he got here nor why he is here to begin with, and he knows is he is alone and scared.

 Astrophel smiled as he looked around. He was growing pretty quickly now and he decided to wander around for a bit to see what the rest of the world was like. Staying in just the Neutral territory could be boring at times. He had started South to be away from the snow he was unused to but, never having traveled before, he ended up on the lower East. The wind was colder than usual and he shivered slightly before continuing on his way.

Houkou's ears twich as he sits up and stands he could sware that he heird somthing in the woods. His heart was racing as he looked around, trying to see what had made the noice. "W...w....who...." he gulped and then puffed his chest out trying to get couragous "Who are you!?" he called into the dark of the forest around the clearing.

Astrophel stopped, sniffing the air. He was too busy snuffling around the strang, hollow plants found only in the East that he failed to notice a pup was nearby, too. When he suddenly heard a noise, he jumped, startled. "Me? I'm Astrophel. How about you?" he called back to the air. He sniffed the air again, found the other's location, and went towards him. He was surprised to see it was only a pup and he wondered what he was doing here.

He looked at Astrophel and stud proudly, trying not to show that he is scared "I am Houkou." he walked forward a little tell his flames illuminated the other wolf in the clearing with his blue glow. "W....what are you doing here?" he asked biting his own tong as to not whimper.

Astrophel smiled when he noticed the pup's fluffed fur. His other siblings did that a lot when they were pups, trying to out do each other. "Nice to meet you." he replied back, giving a slight bow. His father had taught him to be polite to others, no matter what rank or age. At first, he thought the blue things around the pup were strange wispy plants but that couldn't be possible. They flickered like a flame and didn't resemble a plant at all. "I'm just visiting. And you?" he said, still watching the flames in fascination. How did the pup learn to control it like that? He had seen fire once before and it was a large and untameable beast. Only the rain had stopped it.

Houkou blinks and deflates as Astrophel niceness catches him off guard, he cocks his head to one side as Astrophel bows, he then coususly returns the bow unshrea of what it is but he is also trying to keep from upsetting the biger wolf. "I...." he looks down "I don't know why i'm here.... i don't even know where here is." he lays down his ears going straight down.

Astophel sighed softly when the pup spoke. Was he lost? "What about your parents?" he asked tentativly. He didn't want to hurt Houkou's feelings but he was curious to know what a pup like him was doing here. He wanted to go and comfort him but he was unsure. The flames often bit anyone close enough and he wasn't sure if that was true for blue flames as well.

Houkou shakes his head no, "I don't even remember what they look like... i don't know what happend, whenever i try to remember i get scared and my heart hurts...." he says putting his head on his paws the flames licking up the sides of her face but not burning.

"Oh." was all Astrophel replied with, at a loss for words. "I'm... I'm sorry to hear that." he said uncertainly. Some didn't like it when others showed pity to them and he wasn't sure if Houkou was one of them. Feeling it was time for a subject change, he padded closer. "Are those flames on your paws?" he asked. "Do they burn?"

His head poped up from his paws and he then thinks for a moment "I...i guss there flames but they don't burn...unless i consintrate. but it don't hurt me...." he says with a smile. he sits up his tail wagging, he loves the idea that someone is paying attenchon to him.

"Really?" Astrophel said. He pawed at one of Houkou's blue flames and was surprised to find out it was true. "Wow!" he said, even more interested in them now. "How did you get them?" Now that he knew the flames were harmless, he sat next to the pup, wrapping a tail around him protectively. He flet sorry that this small pup grew up in such a way, without his parents. He didn't know how he would turn out if it wasn't for his parents. Just thinking about them made him miss them.

He smiled "I have had them since I could remember." he says sweetly respecting with his own tail. He had no idea why he felt so safe now, but he did safe and comfortable. "So where are you from?" he asks curiously, tell his eyes widen as they trace a strange white speck down from the sky. It lands near him and in a fasion only puppys can pull off, he like a curiouse kitten reaches one paw out and pads it. he pulls his paw away with a squeek from the cold speck he turns to ask somthing to his new found friend but his mouth just stays gaping open as his eyes light up. countless more white specks where falling from the dark sky.

((Ugh now that I'm back home on my beautiful computer, my replies all look too short. =.,=; ))
"Me?" Astrophel asked, just to confirm. "I'm from the Neutral lands. Just visiting the east, though." he said and smiled. His smile quickly disapeared and was replaced by a frown when something cold and wet fell nearby. "It's snowing." he murmured, looking up as more flakes fell. "We should look for shelter." He got up and shook the powder away, then walked forward a few feet before looking back to make sure Houkou was following him.
((Astrophel should totally adopt him even though he's just an adolescent. 8D ))

(( that would be cute! ))
Houkou is dancing around snapping his little jaws at the puff balls, when he finaly gets one in his mouth he looks to Astrophel panting his tail wagging "they tast like rain." he says cheerfuly as he runs over to his side, "so where are we going?" he asked happly.
