Restlessness gripped everyone now and then. Bodaway was no exception, especially after being in one place so long. His solution to this was to wander the lands at night, keeping the borders safe. It was especially the western border he watched, keeping an eye out for any of the Traditionalists to try and cross the borders. It was the most dangerous place, the border, and he knew it.

The sand felt good, comforting, and familiar to her. It was a wonderful feeling, to be back home. Home... She'd changed so much, in her long journey. But was it that long? Her father'd been gone for far longer. He was old when he returned, and she was still young. Had anything changed while she was gone?

Either his old eyes were decieving him, or he was seeing a ghost. As he moved closer, he realized that no, it was no ghost. But it hardly looked like a familiar little doubt-filled lioness. Slowing his step, he smiled, moving closer. "Either you've found a way to mark yourself... Or you've been blessed by a divine being." A rumble rose in his chest. "My little Savitri..."

Ears perking, the lioness looked up. Blue eyes filled with the moonlight, reflecting everything in them. They saw everything with the pale shadows of the moon, but they did little to mask the massive red lion. She saw him, and lost all composure. Running up to him, the white lioness rubbed into the red-streaked black mane. "Daddy... I missed you..." She closed her eyes, just living in the moment.

Grooming his daughter's ear, the red lion smiled. "I've missed you, too, my little moon-kissed princess..." Pulling her into something akin to a hug, he let out a puff of breath across her fur. "One of your sisters is over here... I'm not sure why, but she's here... In the old den..." He sat back, looking at his little girl. No, she wasn't little anymore. Her exterior wasn't all that was changed. He could tell, she was more confident.

Looking up at him, her ears perked. One of her sisters was here? And her father was... It meant that, if she moved... She wouldn't be alone! Letting out a rumble, she burried herself back in the mane. A moment passed, before she reached up and toyed with a shell. "Daddy... Is it wrong... That I like somebody NOT of the Blood...?"

The question surprised him, causing Bodaway to lean back a bit. "And just who has my little moon-kissed princess enthralled?" Nuzzling her, he smiled. "Who you love doesn't matter... As long as it's pure, and he'll always be there for you..." He paused, ears flicking back. "But remember, if he hurts you, you let me know so I can hunt his sorry fuzzy butt down."

"Daddy!" Giving him a mock-dissaproval look, Savitri stood. Flicking her ears, she looked west. "I should... I should get back to the Safi..." She looked back at Bodaway, a sad look on her face. As she started to go, she gave him a last nuzzle. "I hope I see you again soon... I miss you..."

Giving her ears a last lick, he smiled. "I hope so, too, princess... Now go on, before you get in trouble..." He nudged her, then went to continue on his patrolling. He'd not mention this to Kidondo... Or maybe he would... Some old blood in the pride would do good, wouldn't it?

As she watched him go, Savitri felt just a bit torn. On one side, she had some shred of loyalty left to her mother and other sisters... On the other side, there was another sister, and her father who cared about her... And a chance to be with Hodari. In the Safi... He'd be killed. In the Simo... They'd have a chance, maybe a good future. She sighed, sparing one last look before she went back to the Safi.
