A large screen towered over the stadium. A spinner with twelve different battle field locations displayed on the screen, waiting to be choosen. One of the trainers jumps to the control room and presses a big green button to start up the spinner. The screenshots of each battlefield light up as they are passed by the spinner. Finally, the light stops on...
Water Field
Five large platforms float on the surface of the deep pool, four forming a diamond formation around the single platform in the center. While land pokemon can move around on this field, it was mainly built for water-types. Rules prevent the freezing of the water. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to WATER type attacks.This field also reduces damage from FIRE type attacks by 25 HP

 Kayla walked into the stadium and took a deep breath. It's been a while since she went into one of these but it's like riding a bike. Once you get on it and learn, it's easy to remember how to do it.
The field, Kayla noticed was a water field. Quintrell would LOVE to try out his newly evolved form now that he just evolved not too long ago. It would also be the first time in a LONG while since a tag team battle. The first tag team battle was a complete disaster and hopefully this time, it won't be like that.
The only thing now, Kayla as to do is wait for her opponent to arrive before they can start the battle.

Renekai hurried up to her platform, being very nearly late. She had had a problem with getting her team into their pokeballs, this being their very first tag team battle together.
In the end, none were in their pokeballs.
Dreydonna cackled at the field where she had fought so often from her usual perch on Renekai's head. Who would she be fighting this time? She was apparently unaware that she would most likely have the hardest time in this match.
Anima was standing on her hind legs, her front paws resting on the rail on the trainer's podium. She sniffed towards the watery field with curiosity. This was still one of her first battles, and the changing fields always excited her.
Chaos was laying down in a corner, silent as usual. To him, this was just another training match. And he could not lose. Because if he lost, he was surely not ready for Isamu... For revenge. These dark thoughts kept him busy, and the others instinctively left him alone.
Bell sat moodily on the other far corner. This was another field that she hated. Why could they never have the lovely Ice Field? That was the only truly nice field. The others left Bell alone through painful experience; the Delibird had an awful temper.
"We are ready!" Renekai shouted.

Kayla's eyes lit up as she remember this trainer before. From what she can recall, it was a battle between Quin and the Delibird but with luck, Quin came out on top in both matches.
Hopefully, it will be the same this time for all of them.
Kayla waved at Rene. "Hey there! Long time no see!" She grinned. "I guess I'll start off."
Kayla ran through her mind on who to choose for the first round. Like she thought before, it was a long time ago when she last had a tag team battle and it's vital that she remembers all the tricks of it or she will surely lose this one too.
"Grinch! Show them your stuff!" Kayla grabbed one of her pokeballs and tossed it out into the playing field.
Grinch came out in a whoosh of green and onto one of the plateforms that floats in the water. Opening his eyes, Grinch's happy-go-lucky eyes when he was a cubone were now down right serious.
Kayla then turned her attention to Rene. "Who are you going to pick?" Kayla had a feeling on who she might pick but who knows. Maybe Rene will surprise her.

"Hmmm... A ground type, eh? In that case, go on out, Anima!" Renekai knew who she didn't want to choose, but who she would choose was much harder. But whatever the outcome, her team would do their best!
Anima scurried happily onto a platform, which wobbled but stayed aloft. She sniffed towards Grinch, a silly grin on her face. "Compellationreception!" she called.

Kayla eyes looked at the pokemon Rene chose and it was interesting. So Rene decided to surprise her. She should have known it was going to be that but it slipped her mind. Oh well.
"You ready, Grinch?"
Grinch stared down at the weasel-looking pokemon and smirked malevolently. "Marowak." In agreement.
Kayla shook her head in disbelieve. Who would have thought that a happy-go-lucky cubone could turn into something completely different. "Okay boy, let's start off with Focus Punch!"
At the very moment Kayla released the command of attack, Grinch shifted his weight and footing before launching himself as he leap from plateform to plateform as he sped his way closer to Anima.
At the speed of light, Grinch threw back her non-bone club holding hand and aimed straight at Anima.

"Water Pulse!" Renekai shouted.
Anima concentrated hard, and the water in the pool rippled, forming a wave coming towards Grinch. Anima nearly fell into the pool at Grinch's attack, but regained her balance and skittered away onto another platform.

Kayla eyes widen at the shocking attack that came from Anima. Who would have thought...
Grinch grimaced at the attack that was coming and braced himself for the damaging hit that would soon follow it. Jumping back to the farthest plateform, he held his bone with both hands which met with the force of the water pulse.
Grinch's claws on his hind-legs gripped the plateform as it scrapped a deep ridge into it. Even though, Grinch manage to stop the attack from advancing any further, it still hurt as it broke and made contact with his body and head.
"Shake it off, Grinch! Use Focus Punch again!" Kayla did not want to give Anima any more give into this battle if she could help it.
Once the attack subsided, Grinch leap towards Anima again to deliver the damaging blow.Quote: 825/1000 -25HP extra for field advantage & -50 HP super effective

"Water Pulse!" Renekai shouted. She was getting to love the wide variety of attacks that Anima knew.
Anima's eyes glowed bluish, then returned to normal. She was promptly punched and fell right into the water. A second later, a mini tidal wave rose from the water, consuming part of the already-flooded stadium. Anima was balancing on a platform on the very top of the wave, pretending to be a surfer. "Stupendousextravagantphenomenal!" she shouted.

Grinch growled again in pain as another water pulse made contact with him, his bone taking the brute force of it.
This cannot go any further or Grinch won't make it very long. Kayla thought. They have to take a risk. Hopefully it will work.
"Grinch, use Ice Beam!"
Grinch slowly readjusted his stance and lifted his bone above his head and soon formed a light blueish orb of energy at one end of it. It grew and grew before the marowak could not hold it any longer and released it at Anima.
Come on, Come on! Kayla and Grinch both chanted at the same time, unknowingly.

((FFN said that when you accidentally roll a dice, you re-roll for the second one. FireFoxNinetails Normally, I would say you would make another post and roll for the second dice, but I'll be nice this time and let you reroll both dices. So I guess that I'm gonna be mean and say that it didn't work. >>; )) "Dodge it!" Renekai shouted. Anima dove headfirst into the water and cringed. Luckily for her, the Ice Beam skimmed over the top and merely made the temperature drop. Anima floundered back to the surface and dog-paddled to keep afloat.Renekai let out a sigh of relief. If Anima had been frozen while still underwater, then things could have gotten messy. "Give him another Water Pulse!" Anima clambered onto a drifting platform and executed the attack.[700/1000]
