O U R A D V E N T U R E
Slythor approached the water hesitantly. He had learned well from the last time he was in the pool that he was not a good swimmer and that his wing made it horribly hard to swim. In trunks, he slid himself into the kiddie pool, not wanting to try and swim in the deeper waters. Maybe when he got older, he could swim. However he was not going to risk it now.
He closed his eyes and ducked down, feeling the water thoroughly wet his feathers and body. His fur on his legs were wet now, and his hair lay flat against his skull. The warm water was nice though, and he learned back to enjoy the water contently. His bird flew onto his head, then over to a small puddle where it played with the water.

Ebony smiled and bounced along happily as she and her big brother Bailey entered the pool area. The small girl was happily adorned in a bright green bathing suit and, though currently cold, looking forward to playing in the warm water. She had never gone swimming before and hoped to try it out.
Were it not for his sister insisting she'd be okay in the shallow kiddie pool, Bailey wouldn't have left her to go swim on his own. He promised he'd be nearby - and he was, remaining relatively close in the bigger pool - but not so close as to leave her feeling like her space was being taken away. The child was well behaved and careful, so letting her do as she pleased was usually pretty safe.
As she sat down on the edge to slide in, Ebby noticed something interesting. There was a boy in the pool! With wings! And greeeeen hair. Green was such a pretty color. So, being how she was, the purple child waded over towards Slythor soon as she could.
"Hallo there." the lust spawn greeted, waving up to the older child. Yay floating! It felt weird on her wings, but new friends were more important for her to notice than odd feelings.

Slythor blinked as soon as another girl came up to him, a one of Lust he noticed with the same purple skin as Adriel. He smiled and made room for her in the pool. He extended his legs, seeing his own hooves. He wondered briefly why people gave his hooves not too much trouble but his friend's tentacles get beaten many a time. He frowned at the thought. Perhaps Ebony would soon get anger as well with her purple skin. He himself had been bullied at times becuase of his scaled hands and horns, but a few good kicks to the stomachs shut them up... but Adriel's shyness couldn't help him.
He snapped out of his thoughts as he looked at her again. "Hi! I'm Slythor, what's your name?" He asked contently, smiling and watching he play with the water. He was sure he could do better than she could but of course he didn't want to ruin his preciously pretty red wing.

"I'm Ebby! Nice to meet you Slythor!" the girl asked, moving her wings a bit in the water. "You have a nice wing-" about then, the child noticed he only seemed to have one. Just like her friend Hyacinth! And those hooves looked a bit familiar.
"Where do you come from, Slythor?"

Slythor thought to himself what the other had said. Wherehad he come from? He closed his eyes gently. "You mean my DNA? Pride and Patience." He spoke contently. "Nice to meet you too Ebby." He grinned and patted the other on the head contently. This was interesting. He rather liked the joys of meeting new friends.
"Where do YOU come from?"

"ooh ooh! You're pride and patience? I'm friends with them! Enki and Hyacinth! You're one of their spawn? That's so neat!" instantly, Slythor jumped in the child's estimation from already kind of nice and cool looking to yay, the child of my friends and nice and cool looking!
"I'm from lust and kindness. Mommy says that's why I'm really super cuddly." the child explained, swishing her wings in the water a bit. Now that she was getting used to it, it was fun. "And why I'm purple."
"What sorts of things do you like to do?"

Slythor nodded in understanding of that. So, what was why she was purple. Strange. He didn't think much about it though, smiling softly. Only that her purple skin may give her a more negative bullying but he would not worry about that to her.. she should not worry about it. He smiled and pat her head.
"You're very Cuddly. Do you wanna play?"

Slythor grinned and splashed a bit of water onto her. "Let's play water tag." He tapped her shoulder gently. "You're it!" He then swam away from her the best he could.

Ebby laughed and splashed on after Slythor. She wasn't particularly athletic or a very strong swimmer, but this was a game of tag in a kiddie pool. After a bit of splish splashing forward, she managed to tag his foot.
"Now you're it!" she giggled before splashing back off the way she'd come. Whee!

Slythor did his best to run away. He was not very good at playing in the water. He was wuickly tagged. He frowned, then continued playing.
He leaped after her in great strides, before grabbing Ebby and patting her arm and bounding away again. "You're it now!!"

Ebony giggled and stayed in place doing so for a few before swimming after Slythor. It gave him a minor head start and she had to chase after him for a while. She'd have caught him too, if she hadn't tripped - being as it was so shallow - and gone under for a second or two.
Though she wasn't hurt, it took the child a bit to struggle out of the water and get back to breathing normally. She looked a bit waterlogged but seemed okay. Just needed to get herself under control before chasing again.

Slythor put the game on hold as he watched her go under. He knew some kids her age could drown by inhaling water, so he splashed back to her to see if she was ok. He looekd at her worriedly as she came back up, patting her back to try and help gets all the water out of the lungs.
"Are you ok?" He asked worriedly.

Ebony nodded, taking deep breaths before she was able to speak. "Yeah, I'm okay. Just tripped. I'm not used to moving in water." she explained, nodding to her friend as she spoke.

Slythor nodded and bounded away with splashes happily, before he was stopped by the lifeguard's call. Grumpily, he waddled away from Ebony at a slower pace. After all, he didn't want to get yelled at by the dumb lifeguards. His bird flew to a railing, perching himself to comb through his feathers.
