Chavi wearily grazed in a small lush field just along a small running creek. The sky was clear and the blue birds sang in the distance. The bright blue mare couldn't ask for a better day than today.

 Logos cantered at an easy pace along the creek's edge, enjoying the pleasant weather. He had thought at first that he was alone, but as he rounded a low hill, he noticed a brilliant blue mare grazing in the field... He slowed to a walk hesitantly, calling a greeting as he approached.

Chavi raised her head and perked her ears at the first note of a calling. With a few blades of grass still hanging from her mouth, Chavi glances around to see where the greeting came from until she saw the source. The brilliant dapple stallion coming down the small hill from afar caught her attention as she turned to face him and prepared herself to run if necessary. However he looked friendly enough...
"Hello."
Her voice sounded soft yet proud as the stallion Llah approached.

He paused at a respectful distance, inclining his head in greeting... Up close, he realized, she was quite lovely. Such unusual markings... And yet they seemed to fit her perfectly, smooth stripes of black on that blue that matched the sky.
"Greetings," he responded softly. "I hope I'm not disturbing you... I was just out for a run, and when I saw you -- ..." His voice trailed off, but with a hopeful note at the end. Perhaps she wouldn't mind the interruption?

Chavi smiled and lowered her head in response. She swallowed the last bit of grass she held on her lips and flicked her puffy tail.
"There was no disturbance. I was simply grazing."
What gorgeous colorings. The dark colors of his mane and tail seemed to better highlight the lighter on his body and blended splendidly.
"My name is Chavi."

"I'm Logos," he offered. Emboldened by her introduction, he trotted a little closer, dark eyes regarding her with interest.
"Chavi... That's a lovely name. Does it have any particular meaning?"

Chavi watched as he trotted up to her. There was something about him she couldn't resist but to continue to gaze upon him. ((Oh lala!))

A small smile flickered across his features, the warmth remaining in his eyes as he regarded her. "Mm. It suits you -- the sound of it, I mean..." What was the matter with him today? He was getting all tongue-tied over this girl he'd just met...
Ah well, best to spit it out. "If I confessed something to you, would you hold it against me?"

Chavi's ears perked up again and smiled proudly as she always does. What was he going to ask? What could he possibly be asking? And why was she getting butterflies? So many questions ran through her mind she almost didn't hear what he was going to say.
"No, I don't think I would."

He shifted his weight a bit from hoof to hoof, flicking an ear a bit nervously before he responded. "I do believe, miss Chavi," he began, then took a deep breath and said the second half in a bit of a rush. "You are beyond a doubt the loveliest mare I have ever met."
There. He'd said it, he could breathe again. And it was true... although, and he would never admit this aloud after that, he hadn't met all THAT many mares. Logos wasn't exactly a Don Juan, as stallions go.

Chavi's eyes widened in surprise and and smiled.
"Really?"
She's never been told that before. Normally other stallions don't admire brightly colored mares like her. She was speechless for a few more moments.
"I think I feel the same way towards you."
Did she really just say that? She just met him, could she really be feeling this way already?

He stifled a chuckle -- she sounded so surprised! "Yes, really. Is it so surprising? I look at you, and..." He gestured upward with a toss of his head. "I see the summer sky."
It wasn't like him to be so forward... Something about her, it left him feeling dizzy and reckless. But when she responded in kind, he was left dumbfounded. "I... er, y-you do?"

If llahs could blush, she would have at this point. Of course she thought so, he had gorgeous colorings and never has any stallion thought that about her before. They saw unnatural colorings and a danger to their children if she were to have any due to her brightness.
"It's just... no stallion has ever looked at me the way you do. They usually scoff at such an unnatural coloring. And there's something about you..."
She stepped forward to get a little closer to him. Normally... she wasn't this quick to be with another stallion... granted she never got the chance.
"that I can't resist. Something I love."
She couldn't stop the words from coming from her mouth. She was almost dumbfounded but continued.

He frowned slightly -- not in concern, but sympathy. "There's nothing wrong with your coloring... It's part of who you are, and it's perfect." He'd never seen the point of those that avoided the brighter, more unusual llahs -- surely some color was needed to spice things up.
And speaking of spicing things up... She was closer to him now, and Logos felt his heart begin to race in response. He stepped slightly closer as well, daringly near now. "You... do you mean...?" He was stumbling over words, the right ones refusing to come to him.
