Who: Roux, Zul, Chloe & Alex
Where: Quaint street-side shops, Isle de Gambino
When: Late morning, almost afternoon
Weather: Cold, crisp, high blue skies and heaps of snow on the ground

Clear skies of perfect azure yawned overhead, and Alex yawned with them. It was bloody cold outside, but she felt very warm snug in her denim coat and thick jeans, scarf wound about her shoulders and the lower half of her face, just over the bridge of her nose. So warm she felt like she might take a nap where she stood, if not for the charge her green eyes had to keep up with.

A fond smile curled beneath the soft cashmir fabric of her scarf as the Raevan floated high next to her, plucking icicles off the lower awnings and melting them within his hands; it was more like he was absorbing them, the item disappearing without so much as a dampness on his gloves, but the woman didn't pay it much mind. He was as fascinating to her as any being she'd ever met, and they were both still learning about each other.

Somehow, it felt like everything was coming full circle. They were out on that cold day to meet someone she hadn't seen since Summer, and before that...a very long time. Alex had promised herself she wouldn't let so much time lapse again, so they were to meet this person along with the first - and only - Raevan she'd ever interacted with.

Sure, she'd given Vyn flowers, had seen Rivener and Eiry in passing, even given Lazarus some water so he wouldn't puke; she'd seen Lucia and Gage, Kalec and LuLu...but she hadn't spoken with any of them, not personally. There was only one, and to meet him here today with a Frei under her wing would promise to be a treat.

Zul, for his part, was content to soak in the pristine white of winter. He'd plunged his hands into the snow and had caught flakes on his tongue, chased snow-devils, all the good and proper things any young soul should do, as well as happily nibbling on an icicle. His woman had protested ("Do you KNOW what runs off of roofs to make that?!"), but had ultimately given him something better, no doubt due to his wide smile and hearty crunch of ice beneath white teeth.

The ice was abandoned shortly afterwards for a snocone; Alex had grumbled something about bribing a baffled coffee shop worker, but he did not care, for he had his cone of ice and it had taste! Granted, the item disappeared within seconds of touching his tongue, but the brief sweetness was good enough for him. The demonic Raevan floated complacently next to the Italian, taking a short n** out of the iced mound every so often.

"What are we doing here?" he inquired after a comfortable moment of silence, turning his bright eyes around the area. Everything was white, and cold, thus agreeable, but he still wasn't clear on their purpose when it was obvious Alex looked about to nod off.

"Meeting some special people," she replied, her breath crystallizing even as it filtered through her scarf. "Two very special people to me." Green eyes shifted sidelong to Zul, adding, "And maybe someone you'll find to be agreeable."

His bemused smile rested upon his woman, his expression vaguely quizzical before shrugging it off with another bite of his snocone. "Special," he repeated to himself, intruiged in whom he would find so interesting. Zul was rather fond of all walks of life, finding each them terribly fascinating in some bizarre fashion or another, but for Alex to think of him specifically had his curiosity piqued. "I'd like to meet them, then," he expressed in a manner that suggested he was simply allowing them to stay, rather than being there for another purpose.

The Italian chuckled softly. "Soon, Zul." Her eyes flicked momentarily toward the sky, guessing the time was close. Very soon.
