http://video.freevideoblog.com/player.aspx?fileid=B3C4E9CE-104C-4E8D-8E7F-7F3DE56B191D Where Kikyou "Dies" a secend time. Thank god Kagome saved her! 3nodding It also proves my SesshxKik theory take a look

When Jaken is looking down at the fissure Kikyou had previously been pushed into, Sesshoumaru is standing right behind him, also looking down with an enigmatic expression of his face. The toad then declares that that is terrible shouki and there is no way that woman (Kikyou) survived, and Sesshoumaru abruptly turns on his heels and begins to walk off, as if he had just heard something he did not want to. Inuyasha then tells his brother to wait and the taiyoukai pauses for a second and looks back at the hanyou, who asks him if he had just watched as Kikyou was killed. Sesshoumaru, knowing that as true, must feel guilty or something, so he just chooses not to answer and look away. When an angered Inuyasha insists on commanding him to wait, Sesshoumaru finally speaks.

“What was your connection with that woman? Not that I want to know, but…” Notice here that he is careful enough to disguise his curiosity, maybe not wishing to let his brother know about his interest in the miko. As Inuyasha remains silent, he states that “Naraku was the one who killed Kikyou.” and goes on, sparing Inuyasha rather cruel words. “Besides… the one who wasn’t able to save her, Inuyasha, was you.” Hah, it’s almost as if he indeed felt somewhat guilty for letting Kikyou die, but takes the easy way out of his heavy conscience and blames it on Inuyasha… 3nodding

I watched this episode a few weeks ago, I love that song "Sotsugyou".

I love this quote:

"The one who killed that miko was Naraku, and the one unable to save her was you, Inuyasha"

Well, Sesshoumaru was only telling the truth. Although, I'm not sure what Inuyasha could have done to protect Kikyou when he had Kagome to protect.

Has this episode aired on AdultSwim yet? If not, you might want to put a spoiler warning in the topic title. But then again, most people in this guild know all about this anyway.

XingKong is yet to air the episode where Kagome saves Kikyou, but I have read it the manga. I kind of understand why Kikyou did not thank Kagome for saving her life, but it's hard to explain. It makes me wonder, did Kikyou really die a second time? I mean, all Kagome did was use grave soil and purified the miasma that was poisning Kikyou. If someone died, it would take more than just an antidote to bring them back to life.

True... well her shikigami just said she was severly injured so.... I guess that means she did'nt die. So what do you think of the SesshxKik pairing?

It's hard to tell with Kikyou being already dead and all.

As for SesshXKik, although I love the thought of my two fav characters together, it's pretty much impossible because Kikyou is a miko, and Sesshoumaru is a youkai, it kind of clashes.

I suppose so but personally I think it may work out. I mean she need s someone and can take care of herself, as far as personality wise I say they are meant for each other. 3nodding

I think it would work roughly the same way as it did for Kikyou and Inuyasha before her death. It'd have different dynamics, naturally.

I know Sesshoumaru would respect Kikyou's strength, and Kikyou would most likely think at least a bit kindly of his taking care of Rin.

I think I understand it, too. Kagome said she did it because 'someone was there that needed help, and she was told she was the only one who could do it'. Kikyou most likely interpreted it as meaning she felt obligated to do what she did. Doing something from a feeling of obligation wouldn't be the same as doing it because you genuinely wanted to help the person, so she wouldn't feel the need to thank her.

I'm not putting Kagome down, I'm sure it wasn't just obligation that prompted this. But it is possible Kikyou saw it this way.

Kikyou didn't die. But if Kagome had been delayed, or otherwise taken longer, she might have.

Yeah, it was sad, but Sesshoumaru loves Kagura, not Kikyou.

Right. If Kagome hadn't saved Kikyou by sundown, or had there been any hesitation in her heart, Kikyou would have died. 3nodding
I agree that Kikyou may have seen it as an obligation of Kagome's, and that is why she reacted the way that she did. But I always have the feeling that there's some hidden meaning in that part that we're missing. sweatdrop
