Andrew's eyes adjusted to the light very slowly. He had been holed up in his apartment for days, just sitting there, writing and singing and recording his music on his computer program to put on his website. Not that anyone listened, but hey, it gave him some sense of pride.

The sun shone brightly overhead, and he couldn't help but shield his eyes from it; he promised himself he'd never hide himself away for that long again... or at least for another few days or so. He could stand the sun. He just needed to get out.

Ah, now he found somewhere that he could go without being bombarded by sunlight, while it was still out of his apartment; a bar. A nice, respectable bar. No underage drunks, no skanky women. Just a nice stock of booze and a level of lighting that didn't completely destroy his eyesight.

He gently opened the door to find the place mostly empty; it was before noon, only the bartender and a major-drunk were around. Andrew shuffled up to the bar, settling onto one of the stools while he ordered a Pepsi, hold the alcohol.

Riley rubbed her eyes, which ended up making her look worse off than she already was. She had somehow ended up in the same bar, thinking it looked like some nice cozy cafe or something and finding she was very wrong. It didn't matter, though. They still had food and seats, and really, that was all she cared about.

She had gone to bed extremly late, after staying up in the studios, practicing. The dancer hadn't noticed the time and when she picked up her bags, her cell phone read 3am.

The young girl had just come from another audition with Gisney, at 9am sharp, and now all she wanted was caffiene. She collapsed into a small booth near the front and lifted her head long enough to order an ice tea, a Coke and a Chicken Caeser Salad.

The irony of her looking so deshevled in a bar escaped her.

Andrew turned and watched shamelessly as the girl came into the bar. She looked a tad young to be in a bar at all, let alone this early in the morning. She looked exhausted, however, and the too-friendly, look-I-haven't-spoken-to-anyone-in-days side of him took control. Couldn't really blame him; the bartender was a little too talkative and a little too gruff for his day.

Grabbing his soda and leaving the proper amount of cash on the bar, he excused himself from his stool and strode over to the girl, a smile plastered across his face. He could feel his spiderbite lip rings strain against the smile, but they'd been healed for ages, they weren't going to tear.

"Mind if I have a seat?" he asked casually as he reached the booth, motioning toward the seat on the other side of the table.

The bags under her eyes were so big, she felt like she could feel them weighing down on her face.

That was complete nonsense, though, and she knew it.

Riley managed to pull herself up in the booth and nodded bleary eyed to the young man who had approached her table. Who knew if he was even real? She might be seeing things from her exuastion.

"Sure, go for it," she said, pulling her ice tea towards her carefully.

Somehow she manuvered it to her lips and took a few thirsty sips. The cold shock from the ice jolted her a little, enough to at least see where she was now.

Ana Cruz was, as usual, looking radiant. Her vibrant wavy brown hair bounced with each step that she took in her high heeled boots. She wore black leggings and a thick winter coat with faux fur. It wasn't even that cold out (after all, it is Los Demones), but it was winter time and this was winter fashion. She felt rather proud of herself today. She had spent the entire night doing business, in a sense. Ana worked hard to become friendly with Hannah Winter, the chief editor of Chic magazine. She's quite difficult to be friendly with, there's even a book and movie (Satan Wears Products) about how much of cruel person she is. Ana, however, was able to use her charm enough for Hannah to tell her to audition. Which is much better than Ana could have ever asked for.

She felt that she deserved a bit of a celebratory drink, despite how early it may be - she'll just have one. She sat down on a barstool cross-legged and ordered a cosmopolitan. The bartender gave her a strange look for ordering alcohol so early in the morning, but her confident expression didn't faze. He prepared the drink and put down before her, she quickly picked it up and took a tiny sip as she examined the room. It was mostly empty - aside from a couple seated a booth. She paused, focusing for a better look at the couple. Was that Riley Daima? She seemed to be popping up quite in a bit in Ana's life lately. It would be rude to not at least say hello.

"Good morning Riley," she said as she walked over to the two of them, hoping that she wasn't interrupting anything. She looked at her drink. Riley must think she is weird for drinking so early. "Its a celebratory drink, really." She looked at the man that she was with. He was attractive, he appeared to be hispanic of sorts like herself. "How have you been? Hope everything is well. And who is this?"

Andrew took his seat slowly, eyeing the girl closely for any signs that she was either a) going to pass out, or, b) suddenly come to her senses and shoo him off, or c) going to talk to him.

He was about to ask her if she was okay, if she needed anything that he, being more awake than she, could provide, when another girl strode up to the booth. She was holding a frilly drink of some sort; Andrew could never tell, he was more interested in less-compicated drinks... when it was later in the evening. He didn't dare look at his phone to check the time, but he knew it was too early.

Before the girl across the table from him could stumble over who he actually was, he extended his hand and smiled politely. "Andrew Brandt." She was tall, Latina, and stunningly good-looking, that much he could tell from just seeing her in this dim light. He wondered to himself what she looked like in the dazzling sun... wait a tick. Woah, déjà vu. He'd seen these two girls before, even if the one across the booth from him seemed a little more exhausted now than he could remember. But from where had he seen them?

"And I don't believe I've met either of you," he continued, raising his eyebrows. "But you both seem awfully familiar..."

Riley was starting to feel a bit more awake, her ice tea all gone and she was now nursing the Coke. Why hadn't she just gone straight home and gone to bed?

Her stomach groweled. Oh right...she had been hungry. She started to munch on the lettace leaves in her salad.

Riley looked up as Ana approached her. "Oh hi!" she said happily. "I've been good, and you? Celebratory drink for what?" she asked curiously. At least someone's career was moving forward.

She looked across the table. "Who is...oh...I dunno," she started to say, when the young man introduced himself. "Apparently, he's Andrew," she repeated. "Do you have a mirror on you?" she whispered. She must look awful.

"I'm Riley Daima," she said, reaching her hand across the table to shake his. "I'm a dancer, I was just on a Tv special, but really, that was at least a month ago now." Did people really still remeber that?

"I was in a photo shoot for Cosmopolitan," but I don't know if that's where you recognize me from," Ana said with a bit of a smile. Is that where he recognized her from? Was he a reader of Cosmo? The thought of Andrew reading such woman's magazine amused her a bit. "I was on Lorenz Milton's blog and in Person magazine for my dress during the Walk of Fame Dinner." She paused for a bit. She never would have thought she would have gained much attention for her dress.

"This is a celebratory drink for making a connect - with Hannah Winter, chief editor of Chic magazine. She advised me to audition for the company." Ana said this with a rather proud smile. But, not to look too arrogant, she took a sip of her drink to hide her pride.

Ana put down her drink and nodded. "Of course I have a mirror, remember who you are talking to after all," she teased. She took her tiny little handbag and opened it, searching through everything inside. Her cellphone, her wallet, her lipstick, her lip gloss, her eyeshadow, her blush, a condom (just in case), eyeliner, lipliner, her keys, a business card and alas - her mirror! It was amazing how much stuff she could fit inside her tiny purse that's the size of her fists. "May I take a seat?" she asked, handing Riley the mirror.

Andrew shook Riley's hand heartily, grinning from ear to ear. "Nice to meet you, Riley. I think I may remember that... my mum, she's a big fan of dancing shows. Makes me watch them whenever I'm in Seattle."

He shrugged and moved further into the booth, making room for the newest addition to their little mid-morning bar adventure. Of course, he wouldn't mind if the girl sat on the other side, with Riley. But he though, hey, the dancer seemed absolutely worn out, might as well be a gentleman and offer a seat.

"Cosmopolitan?" he asked, tipping his drink back and taking a long swig. The carbonation felt wonderful on his throat; maybe he'd go home after he was done here and sing for a bit. "I probably saw the cover in passing... not a big magazine or celebrity-gossip-column reader, I have to admit. Congrats on your connect, though." He relaxed back against the booth, absently chewing on his lip rings while he thought.

"By the way, never caught your name," he pointed out to the Latina girl, flicking his dark hair out of his eyes.

Riley nodded absentmindedly as she took the mirror. "Of course you can sit down, silly, it's always more fun with you around!" She looked down at the pocked mirror and winced. "Gah, do I really look like that right now?"

Out of her own bag she pulled a brush, foundation and some eye makeup out. "I don't know why I haven't boughten one of these little mirrors yet. They're so handy." She took her hair out of it's bun, brushed it out and then pulled it back into a high ponytail and then quickly touched up her foundation under her eyes. Even though she felt just as tired, she could see she at least appeared presentable.

After touching up her eye makeup, she returned the mirror to Ana. "How do I look?" she asked, laughing. "I've just started using makeup recently, so I'm still getting the hang of it."

Riley looked over to Ana. "Oh, this is Ana Cruz," she said, replying to Andrews question. "She's a model!" Riley was always excited to hear about new things from Ana. She was never sure if it was because Ana was such a nice person or because she had been her first friend here at the Walk of Fame.

"You look gorgeous, chica," Ana said with a smile as she sat down beside Andrew, who had kindly made room for her to sit down. "You're getting a hang of the make up thing pretty well." Ana laughed and turned to Andrew. "Yes, as Riley said, I'm Ana Cruz and I'm a model." She crossed her legs and took another sip of her drink. She smiled at Riley - it was good to see her face again, although without her quick make up fix she looked like a bit of a mess. "Is everything alright Riley? A bit tired? Long day already or..." She had a coy look as she continued on. "Did you have a late night last night?" She raised an eyebrow suggestively with a light laugh.

Andrew kept a friendly smile on his face as the two women talked. Sure, he was listening and all, and took in everything that the two of them basically threw at each other in the terms of how quickly they were talking compared to the people back in Seattle, but he felt as though he was intruding in their conversation.

He had no idea how he was going to survive this one. Sure, he had survived small shows back home without musical accompaniment, after the guitar his uncle had given him for Christmas the year before had "accidentally" been smashed, but speaking with two women-- obviously independent, smart, very pretty women-- seemed like Everest compared to a small hill.

"A model, eh?" Andrew interjected quietly, bringing his soda to his lips and allowing just enough to clear his throat through.

And he nearly spat it all out with Ana's late-night comment.

He set down his drink and swallowed hurriedly, thankful to whatever had allowed him to keep all of the liquid in his mouth, and cleared his throat pointedly. "What's that you say?" Oh god. If this woman, Ana, was implying that he and Riley... he didn't even know her name until a few moments prior... Andrew was hopelessly lost.

"Ugh, a very late night..." It took her sleep deprived brain to come to the same conclusion that Andrew was already protesting. "No! I mean..." She laughed and shook her head. "I was up in the studio really late, practicing, and then I was up early for another audition."

Her dark skin turned a little pink at her cheeks. "I would never...I mean, not that you're not good looking, Andrew.." she felt her face get hotter and she mentally smacked herself. Stop talking! "No, that is..." Riley shook her head laughing. "Yeah, I've got nothing now, so I'm going to stop while I'm ahead." She took another sip of her pop, hoping they'd switch subjects soon.

Ana laughed at Andrew and Riley's embarrassment. Her laugh was very feminine and soft, not too loud or annoying. "That might be a good idea," she teased to Riley. She remembered the first time she had met Riley, soon after doing her work with Cosmopolitan magazine. At the time, Riley was a bit embarrassed when the magazine came to topic because of the more sexual articles in it. It seems Riley was able to hold on to that innocent nature, it was something Ana rather admired. God knows she lost that sense of innocence years back. She wasn't what one would call a bad girl, but she does whatever it takes and is pretty extroverted with few filters about what she says or does.

"So a late night doing what, if I may ask?" She took another sip from her drink, this one a much larger one, though there was still a lot of the drink left.

Taking a deep breath in and exhaling to calm her flustered head, she turned towards Ana a bit to answer her (although she was very aware that her cheeks were still tinged pink).

"Well, you remember how I was on that dancing reality show? The company, CDE, wants to put out a 'Stars and Starlets' workout dvd, so they contacted the unknown dances to come back and audition." She paused, remembering the waiting room.

"Since they do that show once every couple weeks, there were a lot of us! At least 50. So we were auditioning to be in the workout." She shook her head and laughed. "I hadn't ever done dancing as a cardio workout, so when they contacted me, I went out and bought a bunch of other dvds and I've been trying to learn how they teach from them. Last night was just a cram session, I guess."

She finished her salad and took a sip from her drink. "They said they'd be letting us know by the end of the week."

Riley had no idea who Hannah Winters was, and didn't want to hog all the attention. "So who is the woman that you talked to? Are you going to be doing photoshoots for her magazine?"
