I'd like to know what ways you have been killed or "failed" being a test-subject.

I locked myself in a room once. I had seen a video where locking yourself in that room made the game yell at you and open a door. Then when I did it I improvised a little and ACTUALLY got locked in. sad

I died about fifty million times trying to get around the wall over the goop before you go into the fire pit.

CaptainBaconMan I died about fifty million times trying to get around the wall over the goop before you go into the fire pit. Before I got Portal, I watched a friend play that level way before I got the Orange Box, so I instantly knew what to do. xD It was a cinch!
Failures, failures...lets see... Oh, yeah... As I was trying to dump one of the parts of GLaDOS into the fire pit...trash...thing...I FELL IN! Not a very smart moment...

I experienced deadly neuro-toxins. I grabbed one of the pieces that flies off into the air and then dropped it by accident and couldn't find it XD.

I'm a quick thinker when it comes to Portal, so most of the puzzles I understood just by looking at the obstacle set out. I still died several times though...and for several ridiculous reasons. Flinging myself at gaps of acid in the floor, purposely falling in to the fire pits with Companion Cube, getting crushed by those giant pointless...crushy things you see after level 19. Oh and stepping too far back on a moving platform only to end up falling in to another pit of acid. :/

I was also pretty fast at portal, then I let my friend play, I kept telling him what to do because he was agonizing slow. He's a smart guy, and I couldn't figure otu why he couldn't see the obvious stuff.

The largest failure I had was when i was getting the cake eye...I grabbed it but then it glitched and flew out of the level...and then I died from the deadly neuro-toxins.

CaptainBaconMan What in the world is the cake eye? XD One of the GLaDOS cores is the "Cake Mix" core, which basically just tells you the ingredients to make a cake. Also, I jumped into the fire pit with the companion cube a few times, shouting "NO! I'M GOING WITH YOU!" xD

Serol Starfire CaptainBaconMan What in the world is the cake eye? XD One of the GLaDOS cores is the "Cake Mix" core, which basically just tells you the ingredients to make a cake. Also, I jumped into the fire pit with the companion cube a few times, shouting "NO! I'M GOING WITH YOU!" xD I tried that once. I shot a portal inside the fire pit and one outside, and walked in with the core but I nudged the sides of the walls and the core fell out and I went in. Then when I tried to get out, I pressed the trigger and the portal out of the fire pit was gone. I was stuck D:

I die all the time because I stand on the middle of the lid of the Aperture Science Emergency Intelligence Incinerator. Even though the hole is only about 10cm wide you still slip right through. Maybe Chell shouldn't be so skinny. No matter how hard I try, I can't experience deadly neurotoxins. I tried waiting once, but something inside me just screams, "NO! WE CAN'T LET THE GAME WIN!"
