Sonja pulled irritably at her clothes disliking the constricting feel of them, turning violet eyes up at her mother she silently glared at her. Ara merely gave her a deadpan look and quirked an eyebrow at her.
"Don't give me that look you agreed to do anything to go to the park. And really it's not that bad honey," Ara smirked and placed a hand on her head, shaking her own when Sonja moved away grumpily. Ara had placed Sonja in a simple white sun dress and had even let her go bare-footed, and compared to what Ara was wearing it was nothing. Ara had decided to go all out today and wear the gothic lolita outfit she had just finished.
Sonja just sighed and sullenly held Ara's hand as they crossed the street to the green of the park. She liked the feel of the cool grass on her toes and wiggled them before continuing on with Ara to the play ground her mood lightening with each step. Yet all of that was forgotten when she spied the jungle gym, the monstrosity of twisted metal was beautiful to her and she immediately ran off leaving a bewildered Ara behind.
"Well ok then...I'll be over here honey if you need me," Sitting on the bench and pulling out some needle point she was working on for a show.
Sonja in the meantime was staring up at the bars in awe before hesitantly touching the lowest one and trying to haul herself up it.

Ryan charged off after the jungle gym as Ro-Honda walked towards it. It was so bright and sunny and the clouds seemed to dance around the sun.
Ryan loved the open doors and you could tell he was extremely existed about the strange metal conjure. With almost no hesitation he jumped on one bar , to the next , to the next. With each movement he mastered the jungle gym. He was at the top by no time.
As Ro-Honda watched her brother she also saw two people one normal the other looked part animal just like her. She looked at her in shock, her hair was messy, the dress she had on was beautiful but she wasn't wearing it right. Ro-Honda then saw the girl take after the gym without minding her dress.
"Ro come on there's a spot on the gym where you can see the whole park" her brother shouted. She moved closer but the girls dress was still burned in her mind. She then looked at her brother then pointed to girl.
"Ooohh hello there friend my name is Ryan" he then pointed to his sister "Thats Ro my twin sister". He looked at Ro-Honda "arnt you going to play on the gym"?
Ro-Honda looked at him with a blank expression. "Ohh you’re scared, Ryan with a big jump leaped off the gym hit the ground and tumbled close to Ro-Honda.
She noticed a grass stain on his right knee but she didn't care, the white dress was taunting her.
" Ohh come on sister we don't want our new friend to think your scaredy cat do you" he got behind her and pushed her to the jungle gym , once she was on it she moved up the gym fast not quit like Ryan but in fast manner but making sure she minded her striped dress. She sat on the middle and closed he eyes.
Ryan moved close to the girl "what your name".

Sonja jumped when a shout came from the opposite side of the jungle gym, she had been so lost in gazing at it that she had tuned everything else out. Looking even further up she had to squint and push up her glasses in order to see him against the sun.
"I'm Sonja," Her voice was soft yet not in a timid sort of way. She started to climb up the gym slowly as if wanting to remember every part of this thing. She frowned as her dress got it the way pushing it up she huffed as it fell back down, with a growl she determinedly went on till she was halfway up. Looking down she noticed the other little girl, two people now that were like her but not. With a small smile Sonja waved at the other girl, content to only be halfway up.
With a gasp she watched the boy jump from way on top of the jungle gym to tumble, in what looked like a painful manner, and come up fine. Her strange eyes comically wide and mouth slightly agape. "A-are you ok?" She started coming back down only to trip close to the bottom and get some dry dirt on her dress. Getting back up she frowned at the fall but was otherwise unharmed, more curious to see if the other kid was ok.

Ro-Honda looked at the girls dress , it had a stain on it. Her stomich turned. She pretended she was at home , and started to envision her self on a photo shoot.
Ryan looked at the girl "I fine. I got tough skin , feel it " he put his hand out for her to touch.

An inquisitive look contorted her features as she gently reached out and poked his skin, then feeling how thick it was tap lightly on it. A delighted look brightened up her face.
"It's neat," Still soft voiced, she looked at herself and thought about what she could do. "I have spots. You can't really see them cause of this stupid dress my mommy made me wear. I don't even want it..."
She looked over to see where her mother was and saw her still sewing away. She just couldn't understand the need for clothes. It was then that she notice the odd lump on his face, and gingerly reached up to her own to feel for it.
"What's that on your face?" Pointing to her own in reference.

Ryan at didn't understand her , then in a sudden reaction realized she was talking about his horn. " Its my horn , one day when I'm big and strong , it will be HUGE!" he then spun around "Im a rhyino , what are you ?"

"Wow," She smiled appreciatively, then stood straighter and announced proudly. "I'm an eastern quoll. Will your sister get a horn too?"
She started climbing again, tired of being on the ground. She was starting to warm up to the boy and as such was becoming more animated. "Race you to the top!" She moved much quicker this time her small size allowing her to scamper like a star, definitely giving him a run for his money.

Ro-Honda saw her moving close to , she acted as if she wasn't going to the top, but then she herd the words "Race you to the top!" her eyes got wide then screamed "STOP!". Ryan was getting ready to race his friend when heard his sisters voice. The sound of Ro-Honda's voice woke up there nanny Paulette who dozed off in the suns comforting warmth. She got up quickly and got to the jungel gym. "Whats the matter my dear" she asked but before she could answer Ryan butted in "She recking our fun" , he pointed to Sonja. Paulette then gave Ro-Honda a look , Ro-Honda got down from the gym and walked off with the nanny.
Ryan didn't stay mad for long he looked at his new friend "Sorry about dat"! He forgot to answer Sonja's question about his sisters horn.

Sonja was having a lot of fun and was startled when such a loud command came from the previously quiet girl. Freezing she managed to catch herself before falling through the bars, the shout had even drawn Ara's attention causing her to look up. Sonja just waved to her to say it was ok, and sat looking at Ryan, Ara smiled and waved back before continuing with her work.
"Is your sister ok? Did I make her sad?" Sonja was concerned, she didn't want her new friends sister mad at her, besides it wasn't as if she had done anything to upset her. A realization came over her, what if it was because she hadn't talked to her a lot too. "Was it cause I wasn't talking to her as much, cause I'm real sorry. I didn't mean to, she can play with us too."

Ryan looked at the girl with a concerned looked " I don't think she mad at us". He then crawled through the bars to where she was " She just not use to you" he looked as if he was copying someone "She just needs alone time ". He gave her a quick glance " I call a rematch " he started up the bars.

Considering his proposition she nodded her head and started to head down. It wasn't fair after all, since his sister's outburst had interrupted their game. Almost to the bottom she called out. "Watch this!" With that she hooked her legs on a bar and swung backwards allowing the momentum to send her back, letting go of the bar she flipped forwards and onto her feet and then her knees. Her dress got even dirtier, dusting off her knees she crawled through the bars and set herself up at the bottom.
"Ready when you are," She rubbed her hands together in anticipation.

"Ready set go" he shouted he jumped up to the third bar , then moving fast he jumped to the next bar till he reached the top.

The race was a close one but the boys sheer strength saw him through to the end as he pulled ahead. Sonja didn't mind though she was laughing near the end of it, reaching the top last she pushed her glasses up her nose and tried to catch her breath. "You're fast! So where do you live?" Her tail moved behind her balancing her on the bars.
"My mommy and I live away from here in an apartment and I have my own room. She's even letting me paint it whatever I want," She flipped herself upside down again and hung by her knees. "I'm gonna paint it purple, cause it's my favorite. What's your?"

"Umm we live close to "Josies Housing" , next to the Aeakea market , but since we moved in our Dad wants to move to a farm way out in the Aekea East or something like that" He then laid flat belly said up. It was really neat how he positioned himself along the bars. " I like red , but I also like Green , Whites nice too be Ro-Honda doesn't think thats color I also like blue..." He went on and on and Finsihed with "Yea I think I like red the most". He looked at Sonja " Do you ever wish you where just born into the family your in now?" he rubbed his belly " I doo". He then looked up at the sky and smiled!

"My mommy and I live in Durem, cause she makes clothes for people," She swung herself up to sit on the bars kicking her feet. She too looked up and watched the clouds. "Red's nice I guess...What do you mean born into the family? Do you mean normal?"
What would it have mean if she was normal, she wouldn't be fuzzy and she wouldn't be able to get a dragon but then she wouldn't be stared at or get her tail pulled...
"I dunno, my Mommy loves me as I am but I think being her real daughter would have been nice too. I think she likes that I'm special, she likes to rub my back at night, says I'm the right amount of fluff. No, I think I'm ok not being normal." She gave a resolute nod of her head and smiled over at her mom happily waving from the top, Ara waved back but called out.
"Be careful ok?!"
"OK mommy!"
Looking down at him lying on the bars she gave him a worried look. "Why do you want to be born into your family?"
