Helios was bored. His mother was out doing her duty as a pride member. Silly hunting though of course he liked his mother hunting as he liked to eat but it was always more boring when she was away for some reason, or at least he found it boring. He liked to hear the stories she would sometimes tell.
He gave a small yawn and stretched out before rolling about in the dust a little. Where were his siblings? He gave a small roar though it was more of a squeak then a roar but he knew his siblings would hear him. It was pitiful but he was bored and wanted something to do.
He wanted to fight, he wanted to play. He wanted to just do something, even attempt to talk to his father would be better then this. However he would probably chicken out. His father was big and scary and though he wished to one day be like him, he wished to be as strong as his father. His mother had told them who their father was and to try and keep their distance. So he watched, from a distance.

Unlike her brother, Anarore was not afraid of their father, not that she was especially interested in him, at least not yet. Sure he was big, and strong, and looked a lot like her, but whatever, there wee much more important things to capture her attention.
She yawned, tail giving a small twitch, ears flicking at the sound of a familiar voice. Herlios, stupid brother, what did he want. How annoying her, disturbing her when she was in the middle of doing something very important! Not that she had decided what very important thing she was doing today. Ha, she would ignore him, that would show him.
But, how would he know she was ignoring him? What if he had found something interesting, she didn't want to miss something interesting, her brother couldn't have more fun than her! Well, may as well go see what he wanted then, but she would make sure he knew she was irritated at being disturbed!

Helios didn't really care if he minded or irritated his siblings. In a way he found it rather fun though he knew to be careful around mother and Ilahle because well, they were trying to bring them up properly and so well... Helios was good around those he had to be good around.
"Anarore, what a pleasent surprise!" He smiled as he saw his sister heading in his direction, apparently she wasn't happy. Good, means they could fight.
He got up and smiled. Playtime!

Young eyes narrowed, looking at her brother, to his paws, the sand around him, expecting to see something interesting that he had found. But there was nothing, he only wanted to play, he had disturbed her for -that-?
She snorted, settling onto her haunches with a flick of her tail. Of course he had disturbed her for nothing, she had been doing something very important and she didn't like being bothered for nothing. Hmph! Next time she really would ignore him!
"What do you want?"
Her greeting was far less enthusiastic than his was, and she made sure he knew, adding an impatient growl to end her words. She wanted him to get to the point so she could go back to what -she- wanted to do, or better yet, he could just leave her alone. Why did brothers always insist on being so annoying?

He couldn't help but smile of course his sister was annoyed. Perfect.
He then well he wasn't going to answer her question that would just waste more play time so allowing his claws to feel the dusty sand beneath them he pounced. More viciously then normal cub play but then there was no one around to tell them off, so might as well practice some good real, proper fighting now!
As he flew through the air at his sister he was ready for anything. He knew she would probably move out the way but someone had to make the first move now didn't they? This was going to be fun.

She didn't smile, her maw instead twisting into a snarl, her paw raised to swat at her brother's face. Another cub might have been less angry, would have left claws retracted, would have played rather than fought.
But Anarore was not another cub, she was firekin, brave, strong, and proud. And her brother wasn't just another cub either, he was annoying, and if he wasn't going to fight dirty, than so would she, he would feel her claws.
"Why don't you go annoy someone else!"
It was not a suggestion, accented by a growl as she lept to her own paws, putting her weight into her strike. So her brother wanted a fight, then he was going to get one! And he would regret it, she would show him who the stronger fighter was.
It was fortunate their mother was not watching, or they both would have been in for it, not that she cared or was thinking of that at the moment.

And so the fight began. Brother against sister in the desert sands. Saburi would be furious when she saw them both as the chances of them both getting away without any marks seemed slim. Helios was ready for a fight and as was his sister and it caused Helios to be more excited then normal.
Adrenline pumped through his body as he made the move to attack his sister, claws out and teeth lookimg to find something to grip onto. Of course he would not even attempt to kill his sister and so he wasn't aiming at her neck. Killing his sister, well his mother seemed nice but he was sure he would see a completely different side to her if he did any such thing.
He didn't reply to remark, well his reply was his attack. He was heading towards her wishing his claws would tear at her flesh. His claws were like little needles, not as strong as his mothers but just as sharp and thats why he liked them so much. They were dangerous.

Not that they could have killed each other even if they'd tried. Young as they were, neither fang or talon was sharp enough for such a strike, nor did they possess the skills to use them. But that didn't mean small claws didn't hurt, that fangs couldn't scar.
Anarore hissed, snarling at her brother as talons scratched at her shoulder, leaping away from him with her own talons raised, her jaws parted to show her fangs. A vicious growl, an angry roar that came out a squeak as her brother's had, it was her turn, she would show him.
And then came retaliation, legs coiled, charging at her brother, taloned paws outstretched, jaws snapping to hopefully catch an ear, that would hurt him, teach him not to mess with her. She was strong, proud, and she intended to show just how strong she was. Idiot brother, how dare he call her for something so stupid. Well when she was done with him, he'd never bother her again.

She got his ear, he knew she would. He would one day be stronger then her but she would always be quicker, he was sure of that.
He wriggled about in her grip trying to loosen her grip on his ear. She had a strong grip it seemed but he wasn't too bothered, a few scars here and there wouldn't do him too much harm, would make him look good when he was older if he had battle scars yes? He was a strange cub, there was no doubt about it.
Still he tried to wriggle out of his sisters grip. She would have to let go at some point now wouldn't she.

Small fangs held fast, unwilling to yield her grasp on her prize, growl rattling through her jaws as her head shook, tugging at her brother's ear. If only she could have torn it from his stupid head, that would be a lesson he'd never forget and surely she would have emerged victorious.
But no, even if she were able to shred his ear as she wished, to do so would have been foolish. A few claw marks they could get away with, a bite could be easily enough overlooked, but missing pieces, even one as small as an ear was sure to be noticed and severely punished. And that would have been giving Helios exactly what he wanted, idiot, knowing him he would have liked his ear being torn off, or at least how he looked afterward.
Though she knew she was strong, she could not hold him forever, already she could feel her grip loosening against his struggles. Fine, she'd release him on her terms then, because she wanted to, not because he'd won! A paw raised, she swatted at him as her jaws parted, relinquishing the treasured grasp as she lept backward, wary of his counter, whatever he did, she would be ready!

Helios wriggled some more, he really wasn't happy about all this but then she let go and he scrambled onto his feet he was about to pounce when he spotted something and at that point he cowered a little.
"This isn't over, you haven't won" He hissed.
He then looked at what was behind her, hoping that he wasn't about to get into trouble.
Saburi had gone looking for Helios and Anarore after finding the other two and was far from happy when she saw the two of them fighting. It seemed Helios had seen her as he was suddenly cowering down. Well at least he knew what was best for him.
"Anarore." Her voice was firm and tough, different from what she would normally sound like but how many times did she need to tell her children to stop fighting?
"You are in trouble. Both of you." She had tried so hard to tell them not to fight, she was going to have to think of something more dramatic.

She paused, freezing as she stood when that familiar voice pierced her ears. Her eyes narrowed, posture straightened, she did not cower as her brother, she was not afraid. Strong, proud, she made no excuses, no threats, no protest, her only answer to her brother a glare from the corner of her eye, bring it on.
Standing tall, she looked to her mother, recognizing the anger in golden eyes. They had been caught, she accepted that, and she would take whatever punishment her mother deemed necessary without a word. She didn't blame her brother for what was about to happen, and even if she had she wouldn't have said so, that would have been stupid, and only gotten them into more trouble.
Oh but just wait, Helios was right, it wasn't over, not yet. When mother wasn't watching, they would finish it, and Helios would regret he had ever challenged her.
