Haha I suppose. But I think that's because boys try for it more often. When it comes to sex, it's more often the guy trying to get laid. The boy asks the girl, while she sits on the barstool looking hot with a martini in hand.. And she has her pick of the litter because boys' criteria for getting laid is usually "Is she hot?? ... Is she moderately nice looking...?"
A girl's criteria varies greatly depending on the female, but it's usually a little more defined than that. It could be his hair, his eyes, his body, his sense of humor, how often he looks at himself in the mirror... Anything can make a girl say no.

Most girls aren't as self-conscious as they make themselves out to be. The absolute truth is that females are usually quite capable of seeing that, though they might not be the most attractive female in all the land, they are not ugly girls. But here's the catch: Girls' self-esteem rides a whole lot on how many boys are attracted to them. It's a sad truth, and most will deny it, but it's actually quite obvious. They feed off the compliments and the flirting and the asking out... That's why girls are often seen leading boys on, when they have no intention of dating them. It makes them feel pretty. It makes them feel good. So yes, they want to be accepted for who they are, flaws and all. But really, they want someone who doesn't see the flaws at all. But I'm rambling, really. Completely aside to that whole rant, I return to my initial point to explain the female psychology: Girls are pickier because they can be.

It's true that some guys are always gunning for sex when in a relationship, and some girls are hopeless teases that love to mess with a guy's affections, but they don't speak for the majority.
Everbody's different, and some people go for those type of people.
Just go with what you're compatible with.
If you want sex, and she doesn't want to, or keeps making excuses, sit down and talk, and figure out if the relationship's going in a direction you want.
Because things could eventually boil down to "Have sex with me or I'll dump you", which could leave a very sour taste in both party's mouths when the relationship burns to a crisp.
