It was one of those days where the wind whipped through the tree, the air was almost ice cold causing little white cloud of white as the filly breathed through her mouth. She had to get away from her everything today, her heart was hurting as well as her soul and she couldn't stand being near anything familiar. The weather was sort of matched her mood, icy cold with a little bitterness mixed in.
Why did her mother have to leave them? Did she do something wrong while they were together? Make her angry? Was she really that unlovable? Her father said he loved her, then why couldn't her mother love her enough to stay?
The idea shook her all the way to her very being. A girl really did need her mother, didn't she? Talking to her father about it just was an option. She doubted he knew much more about her mother than she did.
The wind whipped at her face again making her close her eyes against the chill that made her eyes well up with unshed tears. She sniffled and curled her legs under herself. The way she was now she must have seemed to fragile, her small frame pressed tightly against a fallen tree truck as her body shook from both the cold and her own loneliness.

A small hum escaped his lips as Jo made his way around his path. He liked to go for walks and get in tune with the nature around him. He closed his eyes and took a deep breathe in his eyes scanning every movement it was cold. He breathed out his breathe making a little cloud in front of his face, then his ears twitched as he heard something. He looked around in wonder moving towards the rustling sounds before he saw something small shivering under a tree. He smiled he could tell the little one was upset.
"Hey." he said with a soft sympathetic tone to his voice he loved children and could not stand to see them like this. He moved over and knelt down laying next to her putting his wings around her in a small hug."Don't be scared I dont bite." he stated with a small chuckle knowing the little one would probably find it weird that a adult male was acting like this, especially a total stranger he hoped she did not read too much into it and see him as a friendly soul that he was.
"Now come on tell uncle Jo everything he is here come on are you okay?" he asked with a small loving smile he did not meet any kids but he was a natural father maybe too familiar with people though, Jo was really justa big kid himself... at times he was worse than a kid.

Nevara opened her eyes to the sound of a soft masculine voice that seemed to speaking to her. The large male staring back at her appeared to be concerned about her, but why? She lifted her chin to get a better look at him and the wind once again blew at her face causing her eyes water and blur her vision. But with a pair of wings atop his head and a horn on his head she'd say he looked like an angel. Her angel perhaps? How could she be afraid of anyone so beautiful? Granted this little foul wasn't afraid of anything unless it gave her good cause to be afraid of it. His wings wrapped around her side and she took in the warmth that he gave her. "I'm not..." she whispered softly and lowered her head again and placed in on her front legs.
"I just..." she started and blinked her eyes a couple times to remove the water that had gathered there. "I just don't understand.."
It wasn't out of her character to be so open with someone she had yet to actually meet properly but it was for her just to start talking about what was bothering her on a deeper level. Though in the state she was in she'd probably even talk to her father if he had found her curled up like she was. Thank goodness for small favors.
"I just don't understand why she would have left us.." she whispered again, this time a little louder so the stallion could hear her clearer. "I don't remember doing anything to make her mad..."

Jo looked down at the little one listening carefully to her words. A small smile came onto his face, not one to say he was happy more like a comfortable one. He looked away for a moment letting the infomation she was saything stick she was not making any sence. She was so young and her emotions did not help in making her words and message clear.
"Why who would leave you m'dear?" he asked as he tilted his head it could be anyone, a sister, a friend another family member. He nugded the side of her face nuzzling her slightly still with the same warm smile he wanted to make the filly feel better. He just did not know how just yet, clearly whatever she was upset about it was not her fault. Which made the problem even worse.

The foul sniffled and shived to make herself more confortable against this new stallion. "My Maa... she said she couldn't it, and then left us with Daa.." she snifled again, only managing to choke a cry. Her eyes were wet with new unshed tears that seemed to gather by the minute, but it felt good to finally release what she had been feeling for so long, even if it wasn't making perfect sense. It did help, somewhat.
She lifted her tired head to looked up into the strangers eyes and tried to smile, but only acheived a strained lifting of her lips. "I just don't understand vhat ve did to make her upset Uncle Jo." And with that she nuzzled her face lightly into his feathered wings, both wipping her tears and seeking some kind of comfort. "Did it ever happen to you?" Probably not, but it was the best she could manage at trying to regain her composure.

Jo beamed as the little one called him uncle she was so sweet. He smiled as he looked down at her hearing the question he did not know how to reply its not something you really talk about to a child but then again he did not want to lie to her.
"Well you see, my Maa and Daa are up there." he smiled as he tilted his nose up to the sky above a small smile on his face. "I can not see them anymore but I know their still their watching me grow... I am sure your Maa had her reasons and maybe when your older you will come to eccept them I know its hard but maybe one day you will meet her, maybe as an adult she would not be so scared... because my Maa used to say some first time mothers leave there babies because they are scared they cant take care of them... maybe thats the reason." he smiled as he snuggled her with his nose before stroking the back of her neck in comfort he knew his story was not proberbly true but he did not think it was her fault.

Nevara tilted her head to look at the stallions face as he spoke. She sniffled once and listened intently. His parents had gone... up there? She glanced to up towards the sky, thick foilage of the trees blocking most of it from her veiw. But she understood the meaning of what he meant. They had really left him. But not by choice. And even though she didn't really know this soquili her heart tightened at the new knowledge. But kept quiet.
His reason made sense. But she still didn't know why her mother wouldn't at least tell her this before leaving. Or at least tell her she was loved. She didn't even know if she'd come back for her, for them. She took little comfort from his words but smiled faintly and leaned into anyway. He had tried and that was better than anyone had before.
"Uncle Jo?" she whispered softly, her voice filled with a deep sorrow that seemed to match both her body and feelings. "Is it wrong to miss her even when I don't really know her?"

Jo smiled as he leaned back and nuggles her before he stroked her mane with his nose, he loved the manes of young ones they where so soft and short. With a small smile he leaned back up as she talked before licking her head and then looking up at the sky.
"No, its not strange because you still have that bond with her... no matter what she is still your mother right?" he chuckled. "Its like can you love someone who you have never met? I love te gods and I have never seen them in person but you can see there effect all around them, when I was your age talking to them was a comfort..." he stated before he realized he had gone off topic and was now preaching again. He looked to the side and tilted his head and shook it he did not want to fill her head with his beliefs this was not the reason why he was here.
Some birds song as they flew past them it was getting light out. He smiled it looked like it was going to be a really nice day and he wanted to cheer the little one up maybe take her somewhere, but where? he did not really know what little girls liked to do. "soo... anyways maybe going to the beach will cheer you up?" he asked with a sweet smile.
