My family use to have a tradition of going to my grandparents place for christmas eve. The adults would play cards and gossip, while we kids ran around hyper about what santa would bring us. Then we would go home sleep for a few hours and be up well before dawn to look for signs of Santa and natually check out the gifts under the tree. We weren't permitted to touch them until our parents got up, but we could look through our stockings to see what was there.
Then when my parents were up we would tear through the wrapping paper while listening to christmas songs on the radio.
Another tradition is the angel Mom puts on top of the tree. We've had that thing for years, I must have been in grade 1 or 2 when Dad and I picked it out. Unfortunately the lights for it started to go and they no longer make the bulbs for it. So Mom improvised and changed it to a new strand. But she still looks great for something that is around 30 years old lol

Traditions are nice... I'm trying to find one that my family hasn't been forced to let go by the wayside...but I like tradition, it makes me smile (most of the time)

It has to be something that you enjoy doing over the holidays. For me, Christmas just isn't Christmas without decorating the tree, celebrating with family and receiving gifts from Santa. xd
Something new that I've been doing the past few years is moving away from the christmas card and making ornaments.

Oh, I'm going to have a lovely Christmas... I was diagnosed with Hypoglycemia today. Low blood sugar, in other words. And to make it much more fun, I'm vegetarian. *Sighs* At least I'm not fainting because of a tumor. And I'm going to L.A. for Christmas. Land of vegetarian-friendly people.
