Ok this forum was created for all of our band/orchestra/choir kids in the guild. I was thinking mainly middle/high school. I created a college age forum also though. Here you guys can talk about all of your trips, games, shows, uniforms, mascots, wierd kids in class, directors, traditions. Anything related to Band/Orchestra/Choir. So post your ideas and have fun. The more we post the bigger the guild grows.

Ah, I wish my school had uniforms to march...we don't we have crappy lines that aren't straight...what else well lots of other flaws We sound good we just sound like crap...That's why I luv my piano the best it's a beauty...we would have uniforms...but we spend too much on band concert clothes (tuxes, silk dresses, etc.)

We just wear our marching band uniforms to contest. I don't think we'd have enough money to buy separate uniforms for marching and concert band. We may not have fancy, formal dresses or tuxes, but I think our uniforms are pretty snazzy. sweatdrop They're dark blue and have tail flaps (or whatever they're called), so they look tux-ish.

I have been playing the french horn in my band for 2 years...Theres only 3 french horns including me in my grade... -.- Once they quit I will be the only one left. sweatdrop

last year at my school we had 4 basses but this year three of the basses quit so we only have 1 now. sweatdrop cry and the bass we have is out of tune ALL the time. redface

Well at my school they have us buy black pants white long sleeve button up shirt and black shoes!!! and we have to wear a tie when we play!!!!!
THAT'S SO FREAKING HARD WHEN U PLAY IN ORCHESTRA!!!!!!!!!! U HAVE TO FREAKING MOVE IT ALL THE TIME!!!!!!! But its fun!! Love the violin been playing for 4 years now biggrin

I wish our school had an orchestra, but our school doesn't exactly have the budget...
I would love to play any of the viols. I'd probably want to play viola, since I like harmony, and being a supporting role.
I do play Tenor Saxophone for marching band, Alto Saxophone for Jazz Band and Symphonic, and I'm going to play Bassoon next year for Symphonic.

At my school, in choir, we have very ugly dresses that you can't move in at all. They make it hard to breathe, and that's if they are a bit big.

^^ We had one concert that was HILARIOUS. I don't get how the guy pulled it off, but when they clearly stated "Wear white and black," he somehow messed up and wore blue and brown, rofl
