Merari watched Rosette help Kane. She spat. "That girl...she has no idea how good it is to be her. No inkling as to the benefits she has because of her birth and lineage. Such fools do not deserve to have the things they do." She growled low and planned her next course of action.

sunchaser9000 Kane stopped touching the handkercheif and resumed his stoic manner. "I have never seen a woman's kerchief before." He bowed stiffly again and spoke quietly. "Thank you for your aid, M'lady."

Kane's ears heard the twigs snap and moved his body in between the noise and Rosette's own frame. "Keep talking, do not panic, and stay behind me."
Merari crept slowly, trying to tread lightly on the leaves and failing miserably. "Curse these damn wraps."

Rosette squeaked softly as she tried peering over his shoulder. She had wanted to ask what was wrong but took his advice. "So what else do you do in your time besides training stuff?"

Kane flipped his wings out menacingly as he continued talking to Rosette. "I eat, sleep, and then train more. My instructor once told me that training and fighting should be all of one's life. I know that it is all that is in mine."
Merari snickered. "He thinks he can protect her...how pathetic..." She took the end of one of her wrappings and tied it into a lasso. She hoisted it up into the air and began twirling haphazardly before launching it at Rosette.
Kane pushed Rosette out of the way, getting his broken hoof caught in the lasso.
Merari laughed and pulled her wrappings back, pulling Kane to the ground.
Kane let out a curse in pain, then climbed back to his feet and wrapped his other hoof around the gauze wrapping. He proceeded to pull back, causing a tug-of-war match between Merari and him.

Rosette squeaked as she was pushed out of the way. Lassos? She tilted her head. the lasso was a common weapon used in her family...along with swords and knives.
She moved forward to help him in the little game of tug-of-war.

Kane reached and with the extra effort that Rosette provided, snapped the wrapping. Kane launched himself forward and punched Merari, knocking the wind out of her. Merari hissed and swept Kane's legs out from underneath him with a sweep of her feet. Kane fell to the ground and took his horns, thrusting them into Merari's legs. She howled in pain and stamped on his wings with her other good leg. It was Kane's turn to grunt, his fighting becoming harsher with his anger rising. Merari laughed as he began punching her again, using his elbows to injury her further. He was distracted, and she took advantage of it, snaking another wrapping out to bind Rosette, aiming for her legs.

The wrapping captured Rosette's leg before she had the chance to turn and run. She yelped as she attempted to tug her leg free.

((It's alright. Mine wouldn't be so long if I weren't typing for two.))
Kane turned quickly when he heard her yelp. He kicked her back down and stepped on the wrapping, pulling back as Rosette pulled in the opposite direction. The wrapping ripped and Kane yelled, "Rosette, run! Get out of here!" He wrapped Merari's legs up with her own wrappings and turned to run with Rosette.

He didn't have to tell her twice. She bolted it for it once her leg was freed and didn't try to even look back.

Kane moved as fast as he could in Rosette's direction. It was harder, with his already broken hoof, mangled wings, and other random injuries. He caught up to Rosette, putting a hoof out on her shoulder. "We..got away. You can rest now."

Huffing, she sat down.
"What about you? You're more injured then before..."

"I will live. These will heal with time. Which I have plenty of. Are you unhurt?" He sat down across from her and flexed one of his wings, reaching back to realign the bones so that it would heal right.

She watched him flex his wings and felt bad that he was injured because of her.

"Do you usually recieve kidnapping threats?" He moved back and rubbed down his leg to his hoof. He noticed her watching him and tried to smile, but his lips were a little swollen, so they looked funny. "Are you worried?"
