In today's episode of the Ebony Morgan Dartsmoore adventures, our cuddlemuffin of a heroine found her way into an arts and crafts store with the help of her elder brother, Bailey. Ebby was happily bouncing on her toes, eager to see if she could find anything interesting like stick on plastic rhinestones, glitter, ribbons, or something else to bedazzle stuff with.
The child wore a warm black sweater over her pretty green dress. She'd had to wear a pair of white tights to keep her legs warm in the dress, and had to wears them under her pretty green leg warmers. Her elder brother, meanwhile, was just in a black sweater and white slacks. A neat little sight it was.
And here they were in the crafts store, Ebby constantly being distracted from her search by new interesting things she saw to look at. She didn't demand to have the objects, but damn did she like to gawk at them and squeal.

Mareike stared at the shelves filled with ceramic figurines. She was trying to find something that wasn't an ugly angle or an ugly tree. Nickle had sent her to the art and crafts store to pick up some figurines that the family could paint as holiday decorations. he'd said it was more in the christmas spirit if they actually made the decorations together. Mareike didn't much care why she was getting them she just wanted to know why they were all so ugly. the girl resisted the urge to reach out and break one just to make the stupid smiling angelic face go away.
" Can't they have wreaths or reindeer or something" The thistle haired girl muttered and headed further down the shelf in search of something better than chunky ugly trees and smiling angels.

About that time, Ebony noticed something new to be curious about. She saw a pretty maroon girl with wiiiiiiiings! And they had funny metally bits on top of them like Adhara's wings! How interesting!
It was a good thing for Ebby that she wasn't in a particularly smiley mood right then and just kind of curious, for she looked practically like another little smiling angel. Well, minus the horns and the purple skin.
"Hello there." the child said, cocking her head to the side to get a better look at Mareike's wings. Well, at least she was getting better at the loud squealing before running up and bugging people thing.

Just as Mareike spotted some decently designed bells she heard a strange voice.. bugging her. With her main yes still looking at the figurines the near teen slid her her lone golden eye to see what was talking to her. It wasn't all that surprising just a weird looking little girl." Are you lost?"

"Not at all. My brother's right there." she indicated Bailey, who was standing nearby, investigating a set of colored pencils. "I just came over to look at your wings. They're nice and remind me of my friend's wings."

At the girl's comment this time Mareike turned to give her her full attention. Was it possible she'd run into someone who knew one of her half siblings? or did this little kid just know someone with wings that looked sort of like hers. " Do they looks exactly the same, except for the red?" she asked spreading them a bit more than usual, aware that as far as she knew she was the only one with blood like red stains on hers.

"Yeah. Adhara's wings were a little different with the colors but they were just like yours. Adhara's my half sister, I think. Cause we have the same DNA Mommy." the child explained with a nod. "Sam and Adriel are my half siblings too. I have lots of them, it seems."

Mareike paused to digest this information. Adhara was the girl who lost her food to turkey's. She'd met her a little while ago, Sam was well Mareike didn't know but she did know who Adriel was, after all the boy was her best friend. Figuring it out that mean that the girl was part lust and part.. hmm. " I know Adhara and Adriel" she admitted. " Who's the other half of your DNA?" she asked curiously.
Partially bored with the conversation her golden eye looked once again at the shelf of ceramic figurines and spotted a nice wreath with a bow and stuff on it that would make a good addition to the bell she'd already picked out. Now to find a third acceptable object.

"Kindness." Ebony explained with a nod. "I'm Ebony, what's your name? And what's your other half? Since you have wings like Adhi, you must be part Diligence."

Kindness! What kind of trait was that and what use was it?Wow the techs must have picked up some really boring angels just so they'd be easier to deal with than the demons. " I'm Mareike and I'm a Wrath and diligence kid. Nickle says I'm a tank." The girl grinned she loved being strong and fast it made life so much better.
Vaguely she wondered why this kid brother just let her wander around and talk to strangers, especially with her being so nice an all. A stranger could easily run off with her.

While Bailey looked quite concentrated on the supplies, he'd actually been noticing something very different, something that meant he didn't have to pay as much attention to Ebony. Unbeknownst to both kids, their guardian - Dartsmoore - had come to the craft store that day to pick up a few minor decorations for their home to surprise the kids with. She wasn't a particularly sentimental creature but she was fond enough of them to do something that might make her sprats happy.
Dartsmoore had actually taken notice of Ebby the second she walked away from Bailey and was carefully watching her. Bailey had been watching his sister out of the corner of his eye but upon noticing their guardian doing so, he no longer had to. After all, Dartie was a lot more likely to be able to deal with anyone who tried to take her daughter than Bailey was.
Mareike and Ebby had been unable to see Dartie until the woman finally walked out of one of the aisles and put a hand on her daughter's shoulder. The woman stood about Mareike's height, though considerably older.
"Hey Ebony, are you bothering strangers again?" the woman asked somewhat teasingly, her voice not sounding as joking as her words but it was obvious that she was messing with her daughter.

Mareike took a few steps back when whoever the hell this strange woman was who knew Ebony stepped up beside her. Her instincts were telling her the same thing they had told her when she'd met Shar and several of the other guard children. Stay out of reach and treat with caution.Folding her wings against her back protectively she tensed a bit.
" It's ok she's not bugging me much and we're both from the facility so I she's allowed to be a bit annoying." Mareike mostly had tolerance for other facility children , provided she was still allowed to to think they were weak or stupid in her head.

"See, Mommy? I'm not bothering nobody. I just came to see her cause she had wings like my friend." the child explained with a nod before turning back to Mareike. "This is my Guardian-Mommy."
Dartsmoore stood in a manner that seemed relaxed though...ready to spring and kill if she needed to. It seemed that facility produced all sorts of strange children, from the tentacle having kind to the colorful horny winged kind like this girl and her daughter. Very interesting.

Mareike stood her ground at carefully watched Ebony's guardian, the woman was small but not to be underestimates. Mareike herself was young and small but shouldn't be taken lightly. " I'm Mareike" she said introducing herself.

"Yes I heard. I'm Dartsmoore." The sentence sounded calm and normal enough, but in another context, her title almost seemed to need the word 'b***h' after it.
"What were you looking for, Mareike?" Ebby asked.
