((This is a rp log for a rp over PM))

Ah, what a beautiful day it was. The sun was out shining, the birds were out singing, and the clouds were out.... being puffy. There was practically no way that things could get any better than this, Adejola thought to himself as he trotted along. The young pup halted as he spied a cricket and with a wide grin and a flick of his tail, he crouched then pounced. Bulls eye! Ade giggled softly to himself and carefully picked the partially crushed bug up in his mouth, turning to seek out someone he could show off his trophy to.

Jua was out wandering in the hot sun away from his mother. Again. He enjoyed getting away from the den to, eh, stretch his legs. At least that's what he told his mother. During the day, Jua had a tendency to wander far from the den, not caring if there was any danger or not. His inquisitive nature pushed him forward, on into tall grass.

Uzuri longer for rain; the heat of the sun drained her so. She looked around to see if any sort of life was around, wanting an excuse to get up and move. She looked down at her reflection in the cool water of the pond she lived by and thought of her den mate, Janja, who had not been around for awhile. Sighing heavily, she flicked some water at a buzzing dragonfly, knocking it down with one hit. For today, she decided, she'd go out. Nothing ever changed here, and she was growing bored of the blue sky. Uzuri decided that she would wander in any direction until the sun went down, then return to the den so she wouldn't worry Janja if she came back. Lazily lifting herself from the rock, Uzuri padded through the tall grass and watched the sky for any change in the weather.

Ade wandered, his eyes flicking towards every sound as he searched for a sign of anyone besides him. Ah! He'd know that bright orange fur anywhere. With a wag of his tail, the young wild dog scrambled towards his twin who was no doubt out to wander again. He came up besides Jua, gently nudging the other with a shoulder as he turned his head to proudly show the dead cricket held gently in his jaws. Then, with an amused flash in his eyes, he tossed to the bug on top of Jua's head, giggling. "Where you going, Jua? Out again?"

As Jua wandered, he could sense another presence; it was Adejola. A sigh of relief spread across his being knowing that it was someone close to him. Something strange was in his mouth, and Jua looked at it closely. In an instant, he felt the lifeless cricket atop his head. He shook his head thoroughly to make sure it had been knocked off. 'Where am I going?' Jua himself didn't quite know the answer to that question.

"Out. I needed some fresh air, that's all." he avoided any looks from Adejola, turning his head in the opposite direction. "Why?"

A sound not far from Uzuri caused her to pause and listen. Whatever was making the sound had no intention of hiding its presence, rustling around in the grass. She crept low to the ground, careful not to make a stir and draw any atention. Her instincts told her to run, but she wanted to know what was up ahead of her. Slowly, she made her way towards the sound, until she reached a thinning of grass and could see what it was. Mirror images? They looked as if they were trying to have the same escape methods as zebras, confusing the predator with their opposite colorings. They were wild dogs, though, like she, so she had little to worry about. While she relaxed herself, knowing that it was not a threat, a twig cracked beneath her paws. She held her breath and sunk even lower into the ground, although she knew that anyone with eyes could see her.

"Out huh? That's nice, Jua. I'm coming too and you don't get a choice. Kay?" Ade stated with a playful grin before gently nipping his twin's ear. "Besides, you think I don't notice you always sneaking away from the den? Well I do. You can't hide things from me, Jua." He wagged his tail before his ears whipped around towards the soft sound of a snapping branch, his eyes soon following. The pup blinked, his smile widening as he spied the bright blue and white form that was trying to hard to stay hidden. Without even considering that this new stranger might be a danger, he wagged his tail and trotted over, beaming. "Hello! And who might you be?"

Jua began to grumble, not wanting his brother to come explore with him. He thought he had been careful whith his sneaking out; I guess twins really do have a bond.

His ears twitched; a sound. What was it? Adejola had obviously heard it as well, and Jua watched as his brother trotted over to the tall grass. Just beyond his brother, Jua too saw the bright blue figure lurking in the grass.

She had been spotted; Uzu's eyes winced as she anticipated the worst. Her eyes opened to one of the pups she had been spying on; the brown one. She looked up at the pup's wide grin, wondering if something had amused him. Uzuri rose up, and boldly stated her name.

"My name's Uzuri." her eyebrows squished together. "What's so funny?"

"Funny? Nothings funny. My name's Adejola, but most people just call me Ade, and that's my brother Jua. Where'd you come from Uzuri? I've never seen you around before." Adejola yipped, wagging his tail to try and so the female that it was okay to relax. He looked over his shoulder to his twin, "Hey Jua, come say hi! This is Uzuri." Meeting strangers didn't intimidate Adejola at all, and though it could be seen as a good trait, it could also someday end up getting him in real trouble.

Jua hesitated, eyeing the new female cautiously. While he did enjoy meeting new people, he was always cautious around them at first. "Uh....hi." he stepped forward next to Adejola. "Where did you come from?"

Uzuri stepped out towards the audatious young pup; he was obviously less experienced than she in the ways of the wild. "I came from somewhere else, that's all." Uzuri held her head high, not wanting to falter in this situation. "What are you doing out here?" she sniffed the air around them. "Pups as young as you shouldn't be out without their mothers." her guard was up; not even the calm, relaxed nature of the other pups could calm her. Her nerves knew this kind of situation well; if she were to falter even the slightest, then, then........her eyes trailed off towards the ground; remembering things from her past was never a pleasant experience.

Ade smiled at Jua as the other pup stopped next to him before he looked back to Uzuri. "We live here. Well, close to here. 'Sides, we're not babies or anything and what about you? You're just a pup too and you're not with your mom." His tone was still friendly and he gave another wag of his tail, trying to get the female to relax.

Jua stared blankly at Uzuri the whole time, not knowing what to say; he listened carefully to his brother's words. His eyes twitched at the bluntness of them, but he remained silent.

Uzuri's eyes dropped to the ground. "I......I'm not like you." her words didn't flow out of her mouth like she had hoped. "I don't.....have a mother. And besides, I've been living on my own ever since I can remember." she tilted her head away from the pup and began to mumble to herself. "Besides, who would want such a beast as a mother anyway."

"Oh." A rare frown traced Adejola's muzzle before he sighed and stepped forward to nudge the female. "Well, if you're all alone then you should come live with us. Mom wouldn't mind and we've got a lot of siblings." He suggested, grinning again before he quickly added, "I didn't mean to offend you by the way. It just doesn't make much sense for you tell us not to wander off alone when you're all alone. Hey, maybe you could show Jua how to be tough, cause you obviously must be and he obviously needs it." Ade stated, shooting his twin a playful grin to show he was teasing.

"Nice, Ade, nice." Jua rolled his eyes at his bold brother, and continued to fidget where he stood. He comletely ignored Adejola's offer towards the female pup, knowing that it was not going to be accepted.
"What?" Jua raised his eyebrows at the notion of him being weak. He stuck his tongue out at Ade and turnd to go lay down in the grass.

Uzuri's eyes stayed low; she didn't feel like confronting any questions the duo had for her. "Live with you?" eyes wide, Uzu took a step back. "I......I can't. I just can't. Janja would be.......heartbroken." she turned her head to the side, preparing to leave.

Adejola only grinned in reply to Jua sticking his tongue out before he turned back towards Uzuri. "What... Who's Janji? Is that your friend? They can come live with us too." He suggest brightly, his tail wagging. It never occured to the pup that his parents may not want him inviting two stranger wild dogs into the den, and frankly, he didn't real care. "Please don't go.."

Jua continued to ignore Adejola, thinking his request of Uzuri was brash and unconsiderate. "Don't listen to him. Do whatever you want."

"Janja is my caretaker. I don't think she wants to leave the den we already have." Uzuri backed off a little, trying to sound as polite as possible. "I think it'd be best if we were just friends, even if we live far apart." she had no intention of coming to live with another family, no matter how hospitable they may be. Uzuri had grown to like the idea of living in a small pair with Janja, although she did like the prospect of having new friends.

Jua gently lifted himself from the dry dirt, strolling over towards Uzuri. "I think we should all be friends, right Ade?" his tone became forceful as soon as he mentioned his brother's name, nudging him in the side. "You wanna come explore with us? I was just gonna take Ade here with me, but if you wanna come too, that'd be great." Jua smiled innocently and looked around through the grass.

"Oh, your caretaker huh?" Adejola frowned for a moment before he grinned, "So she's kinda like a mom, right?" He asked with a bright grin before he glanced to Jua. "Well of course we should all be friends. Having friends is very, very important." His tail wagged so fast it was a blur and he returned a nudge to Jua's shoulder. "So where are we going to explore then?"

"We can, uh......head that way, towards the bushes." Jua turned to face an area a little ways off covered in wild vegetation. "I think that'll be fun."

Uzuri's complexion softened and her muscules relaxed. She was happy to have these two new friends. "Well, she's kind of like one......but not exactly. She isn't always around, so that's why I get to go this far away from home. No, she's much better than any real mother I ever had." Uzuri looked down as flashes from an unknown past flickered through her mind. "Sure, let's go explore there!" trotting off in the direction of the bushes, Uzuri didn't wait for the two male pups to catch up.

"That does sound like fun!" Ade agreed, again nudging his twin before he loped after Uzuri. "She sounds really nice. And you're right, you should stay with her." The pup called to his new friend as he drew close before he glanced over his shoulder. "Come on Jua, you're gonna get left!"

"Me? Get left? I don't think so!" Jua raced forward, surpassing the other two pups. He jumped through the grass towards the bushes, stopping at the edge of them. He eyed a butterfly perched on one of the branches and crept down low to sneak up on it.

Uzuri waved her tail back and forth through the air carefree. "She is really nice. She took me in when no one wanted me." seeing Jua race past the two pups did not phase Uzuri; she kept her casual pace and trotted along through the deep grass.

Ade smiled, "I'm glad you've got a family, Uzuri. I'd be really sad if one of my friends was all alone." He stated cheerfully before blinking as a flash of orange fur ran by. "Hey, Jua, wait up!" The pup called, scampering after his brother. He wasn't ready for his twin's sudden stop though, so he went racing past and straight into the branch the butterfly was on. He fell back onto his rear with a soft grunt as the butterfly fluttered away.

"Now look what you've done!" Jua was visibly upset as his brother crashed through his prey. Puckering his lips in disappointment, Jua looked back to see Uzuri still trotting along towards the spot where the two pups lay. "Hey, let's go inside!"

Watching the two pups race towards the bushes made Uzuri laugh; it was nice to see the two having fun. She gazed at the blue sky, wondering where Janja might be, when she heard a loud thud. Looking up, she wasn't surprised to see Ade sprawled out on the ground. "You two are funny." she lifted her small paw upwards, licking it gently. "Sure, let's go inside!"

Ade pouted, "I didn't mean to... And besides, there will always be more butterflys." He stated, sticking out his tongue at his twin before he bent down to pick up a short stick that had snapped off the branch when he ran into it."Okay, inside it is." He mumbled around the stick, trotting ahead.

"Yeah, but it was in the perfect position." Jua's voice became muffled as he followed his brother into the brush. Looking around, there were many new sights and smells. He spotted a large toad beneath a bush and crept up next to it, careful not to touch it.

"This place looks rather interesting." Uzuri pushed aside a branch that lay in her path. "Jua! Don't touch that! It's dangerous!" she spotted Jua closing in on the large toad; she knew of toads and how dangerous they could be due to her den being right next to a small pond.

Ade rolled his eyes as he trotted behind his brother, his stick held proudly in his mouth. That's when he and Jua spotted the toad. He watched his twin start after the thing, his tail wagging slowly before he jumped at Uzuri's warning, dropping his stick. "Dangerous? Hey, wait Jua!" He leapt forward, nipping his brother's tail just incase the other pup hadn't heard Uzuri's warning. Ade didn't want his brother to get hurt after all.

Jua was startled by the other pups' sudden intrest in what he was doing. Backing away, he looked at the toad squatted under the bush. It looked the same as any other he had seen; it was calmer, though. "What's wrong with it?" his mouth dropped sadly after losing his prey.

Uzuri trotted proudly over to Jua, whom she was proud of saving. "That frog," she lifted her paw and scooted the toad back. "is poisonus. I've seen a lot of snakes and such die from just biting this thing!" she moved her paws in a grandeos manner, showing her concern.

Ade stared at the toad, frowning before he sighed and playfully nipped at his twin's ear. "It's a good thing Uzuri was here. Huh? That would have really sucked if you died." The pup yipped, wagging his tail. If he stopped to think about what it really would have meant had Jua been poisoned, the pup would be seriously concerned and worried and most likely wouldn't have even acted like himself for the rest of the day. After all, how could he be concerned with only fun if he trouble himself with the could-haves of the world? So he didn't let himself think about it.

Jua puckered his lips; he didn't want to admit that Uzuri had saved him, but it was in his nature to thank others for their kindness. "Yeah, um.....thanks for, uh....that." he glanced sideways, looking out a hole in the bush. "So what do we do now?"

Uzuri plopped herself on the soft ground. She smiled at the playful twins, envying their closeness. "I'm glad you're okay." she looked around at the bleak colors of the bush branches, enjoying the shade they provided.

Ade wagged his tail, pouncing his brother and nipping playfully at his ear. "We could wrestle! Or play tag!" He suggested cheerfully, looking to Uzuri. "Would that be fun? I think it would."

Just puckered his lips, not wanting to do too much physical activity; he took after his father in his lazy manner. "Only if Uzuri wants to." he stuck his tongue out at his brother, pushing aside his playful idea.

"Tag?" Uzuri tilted her head to the side; her lack of friendships with pups her age had caused her to not know much about the games others played. "What's that? Is it fun?" she got to her feet, ready to play whatever new game Ade had mentioned.

Ade was about to pounce on his twin and call him lazy but he turned back to Uzuri, giving the blue pup a confused stare. "You don't know how to play tag?" He was quiet for a short minute before he once again smiled, "Tag's really easy. See, one person's it and they have to catch the other people. Like, say I was it right now, I'd tag Jua like this," here he gave his twin a poke in the shoulder, "and now Jua's it and we've gotta run from him. It's really easy, but really fun!"

Thinking he was about to be attacked, Jua flinched, turning his head to the side. Realizing that his brother had stopped in his tracks, Jua opened his eyes and found him staring at Uzuri; he had not yet processed what had come out of her mouth. "You mean.....you've never played tag before? That's a little.......strange." he squinted at Uzuri playfully, meaning no harm.

Biting her lower lip, Uzuri was unsure if she should have admitted to never having played the game. "Well......I've been alone most of my life, and I live with an older female now." she eyed Ade and Jua carefully. "What's this 'it' thing mean? Has the person been cursed by the Gods or something?" she titled her head again, trying to rationalize why others would run from a single person.

The pup rolled his eyes at his twin, "You're so nice, Jua." He stated sarcastically before looking back to Uzuri and giving her another confused stare. "Cursed by the Gods? No, silly! It's just a game."

"Hey, don't get upset at me just because I have an opinion." Jua stuck his small tongue out at Ade spitefully. "Just.......explain it to her? She needs to play at least once in her life." a smile flickered on to Jua's face; he really wanted to play.

"Then why do we run from the person who's 'it'?" Uzuri couldn't quite grasp the concept of the game, seeing little point in it. "Do we run from them like we're running from a bigger predator?"

"But you don't have to be rude, Jua." Ade rolled his eyes as his brother stuck his tongue out but soon turned back to Uzuri. "Well.... You just run from them because that's how the game goes. I never thought about why... I guess you could run from them like you would from a predator, but they wouldn't hurt you if they caught you... It's just for fun." He tried to explain.

Jua huffed and walked over towards Uzuri, leaning up beside her. "I'll just talk to Uzu over here for awhile." his attempt at angering his brother was louzy, but the meaning was there. "Just.....run away from them. But have fun with it! It's a lot of fun to run around and play, don't you think?"

"Oh......." Uzuri lowered her eyes, imagining herself running away from someone; the wind in her fur, the ecstasy of playing around. She smiled meekly as Jua made his way over to her, holding in a laugh at what he was doing. "I think I'd enjoy running around like that." she jumped backwards. "So long as I'm not it!" she eyed the two brothers, waiting for the game to commence.

The mostly gray wildpup scowled at his brother as he spoke to Uzuri before he grinned widely, joining Uzuri in running with a cry of, "Not it!" Hah! Now to see if Jua could actually manage to catch him.

Surprised by Ade's sudden movement, it took Jua a moment to realize that he was it; he watched Uzuri and Ade run off into the tall grass, until his legs unlocked and allowed him to run after them. A large grin spread across his face, and he enjoyed the rush of adrenaline he got from playing such a game. "I'm gonna get you!" he rounded around Uzuri as she turned, but was forced to continue the chase when she faked.

Uzuri, for having little idea about the game she was now immersed in, was very good at playing tag. Her days of being alone had payed off; she was forced to run most of her life before she was taken in by an older dog. The constant heaving of her lungs was a terrific feeling to her, and she longed for more. "I don't think you'll ever get us." she yelled to the wind before her.

Ade laughed as he bounded away from his brother, his tail wagging. "Come on slowpoke! Come get us!"

Jua's mouth was pouted, as he didn't enjoy having to be 'it'. His sour mood soon left him as he chased after his brother and Uzuri, changing between the two when he got close to one. "This....." his breathing had become raspy as he ran. "isn't.....fair!" slowing to a halt, Jua panted heavily.

The wind blowing through her fur, the soft ground beneath her paws; the feeling Uzuri had was irreplacable. She stoped and looked around, finding Jua stopped in between her and Adejola. "Are you okay?" she started to laugh. She neared Jua cautiously. "Wanna play something else?"

The pup chuckled again before he bounded over to try and pounce on Jua's tail. "There, slowpoke! Now I'm it!" Ade exclaimed with a grin before he turned to suddenly dart toward Uzuri. "I'mma get you!" It was just like Adejola to help out his brother when he could, even if he pretended he didn't want to.

Surprised by the sudden shock of his tail being pounced on, Jua let out a loud noise. He turned upward, facing Ade with a wicked grin on his face and bolted away from him.

They were a good match, he thought.

Uzuri rolled with laughter as she bounded away, this time running a little slower so she wouldn't wear Ade out. She thought about how much fun it would be to be 'it', but quickly corrected herself as she noticed how hard that pup would have to work. Her tongue fell out the side of her mouth, and she found herself running with her head facing her rear.

Her vision became blurred as she felt herself slam head-on into a tree; her head rolled back and forth, and she quickly sat down on her rump to regain herself.

Ade was having a great time chasing Uzuri right until the other pup ran head on into a tree. "Hey! Are you okay?" The pup asked in alarm as he skidded to a stop next to her.

Jua stared in amusement; he had watched the whole thing. His laughter was interrupted when he realized that Uzuri still hadn't really recovered. "You okay?" he looked at Ade, brow furrowed with concern.

Shaking her head to rig her mind of the dual vision she had just acquired, Uzuri looked up with a grin on her face. "I'm fine, I'm fine." she was partially laughing at herself for her obliviousness. Rising to her feet, her legs wobbled slightly, and she walked over near a bush and plopped down on the ground. "How about we just sit and talk for awhile?" Although sad that the game had ended prematurely, Uzuri really wanted to get to know these pups better.

Ade frowned in worry, his tail drooping slightly. "Okay... But if you don't feel better soon, I can get our mommy. She'd know what to do!" He sat down next to the female, frowning in concern.

Jua trotted after the two quickly, squeezing himself right up next to Ade. "But what do we talk about?" he nuzzled his head under Ade's chin.

Uzuri looked over and saw the concerned faces. "Look, I promise you, I'm fine." she burst out laughing, happy at their concern. "Well, we can talk about you guys. I don't know anything about you! Like, what kind of family are you from? Is it big? Is it small?" she reared up in excitement; not having a real family of her own, Uzuri was excited to hear about others' experiences.

Ade smiled softly as Uzuri insisted that she was fine. "Well, our family's pretty big. There's our Mommy and Daddy and then all our brothers and sisters. We all live right over there," The pup gestured in the general direction of their home.

Jua scanned the horizon in the direction of his home; that's right. He had a family there. For some time, Jua was just lost in himself in Ade; no one else seemed to exist up til now. "Our family's big, so it's hard for momma to have time for all of us. So me and Ade stick together." he looked over at his twin. "Right?"

Uzuri pictured a full family of others like Ade and Jua; a happy picture came to mind. "So you don't like playing with your other siblings? I sometimes wish I had a brother or sister." Uzuri's laugh was cold and empty, and she wondered what she would do if she actually had family.

Adejola nodded before he nudged his brother with a smile. "Yeah, me and Jua stick together a lot but not cause we don't like the others. It's just that we've got a lot of siblings and it's easy to get missed, you know? I like our brothers and sister though." The pup smiled, before adding, "You'd make a great sister. I like you a lot. You're fun to play with."

Jua smiled and nodded in agreement with his brother. "It's a little swarm of orange, brown, and white where we live!"

Uzuri could feel her face get hot; she had never received a comment like that before. "I would stick out like a sore thumb!" she started to laugh, and whip her tail back and forth. "The person I live with now, she doesn't look anything like me either." she grinned, thinking of her own home.

"Heeeeey, I'm grey..." Ade mock-pouted before he chuckled. "I think you'd fit in fine. Who cares about colors of fur anyway?" He suddenly chuckled and pounced Uzuri's tail. "Feeling better now?"

"I think you're more of a brown color." Jua squirmed and smiled as he teased his brother. "But colors aren't all that important. Although it'd be fun to see one blue speck amongst all of us." he nudged his brother playfully.

"Well, as nice as that sounds, I think I'd go crazy with all of those siblings." Uzuri sighed, thinking of the time long ago when she, too, had siblings. Her eyes went down, staring at her paws. "I think I've felt fine for awhile now, you're just a worry-wort!" Uzuri stuck her tongue out a Ade playfully, closing one eye as she did so.

Adejola nodded, "It would make things more interesting, that's for sure." He agreed before he stuck his tongue back out at Uzuri. "Well it's your own fault for running into the tree. Silly-head." He replied, grinning sillily.

Jua yawned, stretching his small body. The heat of the day had set in on his small frame, making him sluggish and tired. His eyelids came down slowly, and seemed increasingly hard to rise back up.

"Well, I don't normally run into trees, you know." Uzuri looked down, a little embarassed about how she must have looked after running into the tree.

Ade giggled, "I know you don't. It was just kinda funny... No offense or nothing." He nudged her playfully before he glanced at his brother and found himself yawning as well. He frowned, sitting down on the ground. "Juuuua, you're making me sleeeeeeepy." He whined, giving another yawn.

Jua glanced at the lowering sun. "Ade, I think we've played enough for one day; why don't we say goodbye and head back home to mamma." he tugged on his brother's ear playfully.

The lazy heat of the melting sun washed over Uzuri, zapping her energy. "Mm....It was fun playing with you two today! Maybe we can play again sometime." she smiled sweetly and rose to shake the dirt from her coat. "I have a long way to go to get back to my den." she glanced to the side, figuring out a route home.

Ade nodded, "Okay." He wagged his tail and poked Uzuri in the shoulder. "It was really fun playing with you! Maybe we can play again later some day." The pup yipped before he nudged his brother in the side. "Bet I can beat you home!" And without waiting for an answer, the pup darted back towards home, his tail wagging behind him.
