Riulve had just begun to settle into the task of being a teacher. Files were laid about on her desk and a quiet filled the room for the time being as she read through the one currently in front of her. The child apparently could only float in her sleep. While Riulve had no power to fly or float she could possibly still help. The skill – for now – seemed subconscious only and needed to be consciously worked with.
The tall woman had figured out some different methods and maybe they would work. She stood up from her desk and moved to stand in front of it. She didn’t give any specific time to arrive she just told them to come.

Kamira skipped into the room, her kimono fluttering gently after her. Jess followed close after, keeping a close eye on her kid.
"Um, we're here for a Skills class." she said, not quite sure what to do. "Is this the right room? We had it written down on a slip of paper, but the slip seems to have deserted us on the way here.

Riulve moved forward as the parent and child entered. To the parent she offered a hand and a nod, “You are in the right place if your child is named Kamira,” she replied warmly and she looked down at the child with a small smile, an attempt to look friendlier. “Such a nice …that is a kimono, right? What a nice kimono you have on.” She complimented the child directly.
“If you wish to stay and observe you are welcome to,” Riulve said idly. The woman might have been a tall and intimidating 6’5” but she seemed to be rather kind toward the children.

"Oh good, we're in the right spot then. Well, I'm Jess, and this is Kamira." Jess said, casting a grin at Kamira, which was readily returned.
"Thanks! My mom found it for me. It was a birthday present." Kamira fluttered her feathered wings softly and smiled up at Riulve.

She gave but a brief nod at the introduction and chuckled a bit, “And as you may know I am Riulve Drunhild. You may just call me Riulve or whatever you want. I am not much for titles and the like.” The tall woman smiled down at the girl before addressing her solely.
“Kamira, I hear float when you sleep, is this true? How would you like to actually control that?”

"Oh, yes! I'd like to do that! Mom says she found me doing it once in the morning and she says she nearly had a heart attack, soooo....yeah!" Kamira said, turning around and smiling at Jess, who grinned back. Jess was leaning against the wall, casually watching the class. Kamira would've been a lot less forward without her guardian's support nearby, that was for sure. But, if she could control her floating, there wouldn't be any chance of her getting hurt if she started floating, since she'd know how to control it.

Riulve watched the child carefully for a few moments as if she were trying to assess some ability within her. Quietly the woman made a small gesture toward a set of pillows upon the floor, "Have you learned how to meditate yet? I had to learn how to meditate to control my powers, I am sure it can help you as well." It was going to be a trial and error experience for the woman and child both.
The tall woman wasn't sure if she could expect the child to have the stillness within herself that was needed for meditation but they could try.

"Mediwhatsit?" Kamira asked, cocking her head to the side a bit. "I dunno what that is, but I'm up for learning it!" she chirped enthusiastically, ready to learn how to do whatever the heck meditation was. She wanted to learn how to float especially, since Jess had freaked out on many an occasion when she had found Kamira asleep and floating.
Jess, meanwhile, sat off to the side, watching with a grin on her face. She loved to see Kamira catch on about something, and her learning how to control her floating ability would be great.

Riulve laughed lightly, in truth she would have been more surprised if the child already knew how to meditate. Unless the child came from a certain home where such things are the norm it isn't often taught or talked about amongst families. The tall woman paused thoughtfully reaching for an explanation, "It is a little like sleeping but you don't really sleep. You will see, hopefully. Most of the time magic users use it to help maintain their spell power but people like myself, who are warriors or what have you, use it to help calm ourselves after battle and the like. I have a few skills of my own that I have to use meditation for in order to help me control them."
She placed her hands at her hips and looked the child over once more, "Is that kimono you are wearing comfortable enough for you to sit and learn?"

"Sleeping? I'm a pretty good sleeper. You can ask my mom on that one." Kamira said, turning around and grinning at Jess. "Oh, yes, it's fine." Kamira looked up at Riulve, eager to learn something new. She liked this teacher, and Kamira knew that she could learn this meditation thing that Ms. Riulve used.

Riulve smiled at the eager girl as she moved to a set of mats that were set up nearby she motioned for the girl to follow. The tall woman settled down upon her own mat and waited for Kamira to join her. "Alright, first you must seat yourself and make sure you are comfortable. Then you must clear your mind of all thoughts save one, make it a happy but calming thought to focus on, do you understand, pup?"
