Ilmxena was grateful when the caravan master clapped his hands and announced the day's busniess was completed. Well, complete for them. Xee hated waiting around and guarding the wagon. Guard duty tended to make her sleepy. Her fellow guards did not seem to mind it though, as it was a fair trade better then guarding while on the road. Now THAT was a shift Xee enjoyed! Straining to listen for approching monsters, knowing any second now a cloaker could drop down from the cavern ceiling and rip your head off! Guard duty inside of a city was relatively tame. All you had to do was watch out for other drow. Where was the challenge in that?
Master jalkin often berated her for allowing herself to become lax while in the city. he claimed it was just as dangerouse as the Wilds. Xee never disagreed, but the Wilds were far more exciting in her opinion. So when it was that her term of guard duty was up, she was quick to launch herself up the steps of the wagon. From there it was a quick hop and climb to the top of the wagon, and then off she was.
"Bye Thalzoz! See you at Turn in!" She called as she ran down the length of the wagon and launched herself onto the roof of a overhanging for a building nearby. She heard Thalzoz's protesting cry as she beat a hasty dissappearance into the crowd from there. Hopping down amid the multiple drow, she could not resist a wide grin forming. Of course, Thalzoz would have to muscle his way through the crowd to this area, then he'd spend the night hunting her down instead of getting mushroom ale and cheap drow slaves to occupy his time. He'd been looking forwards to that all week, talked about it nearly every turn-in time. he was sure to be pissed at her. Which suited her fine! That would mean he'd try all the harder to find her!
With a hop, giggle, and flare of her purple cloak, Xee started to eye the various buildings she was passing for a bit of fun. Perhaps a game of darts...or a drinking game! She loved how easily some elves were taken in by her ability to match them mug for mug....

Shi'n had simply wandered of if he was totally honest with himself. He had been sent on an errand, but it had been days since the young drow even thought about what it was he was supposed to be doing. He'd wandered well out of the normal stomping grounds of is house, but that wasn't exactly unusual for him. There was a reason Ariadne only ever sent him on menial errands.
The second point he should really be totally honest about was the fact that he had no idea where he was at all. This should have been a worry really, but it wasn't exactly in the normal workings of Shi'n's mind to be concerned about such petty trivialities. He'd get home eventually. And when he did, the longer he was away, the more he'd be able to terrify Kalan. It was win win really.
He figured he had to be somewhere in the west dark still, but even that was up for debate... either way this was an absolutely fantastic holiday! He should have simply wandered off years ago! He'd been wandering around the town... settlement... place for a while now though. He'd procured a meal, which had been good. Not as good as Cow, but good none the less. He'd also stopped for a drink. But the wine wasn't as good as the ones Ariadne Lady kept... so he'd left after that. He didn't really care for just getting drunk. So why bother to drink what you don't like..?
So it was that he was just ambling curiously down the main street. His goggles set on his oddly styled, dual length hair, and his mismatched eyes flicking from side to side. His cloak, patterned to keep him hidden on the surface did little in the gloom of the underdark really, as there was no light for it to react to... he looked rather out of place, most likely, as there were not really that many drow willing to venture to the surface as a raider. You had to be pretty loopy to do it...

As Xee walked along, she soon found to her dissappointment that there was not much here to catch her attention. The taverns were either too full or too empty. A empty tavern meant bad busniess. bad drinks, bad company.Just something bad. Too full taverns meant her a** and chest would get grabbed more times then she cared and she disliked the prospect of fighting her way off a drunken a**'s lap. So she had not yet found a place to pop in. WHich, would make it easier for Thalzoz to find her and get to his ale and whores. Honestly! What sort of frustrating fosterling was she going to be if she couldn't give him a good three or four hours of frustration when his base pleasures were just inside one of these buildings?
Xee crossed her arms over the pinksuit she wore while she walked, her head shaking a little..then stopping as the -weirdest- creature she'd ever seen meandered through the crowd and past her. Xee blinked, her red eyes disbelieveing. She'd never seen such a...well..he stood out terribly! Xee backedup, walking backwards at a quick hop until it was she was walking beside Shin and goggling him openly. What a weird male!! She wanted to reach out and touch him! But since she didn't know what sort of male he was she wasn't going to risk getting stabbed out of curiosity.

Shi'n blinked slightly at the rather unusual female he found himself walking by. "You know LadyLady.." he stated, not bothering with any formalities just at the moment, "If you keep going backwards you could find some Rothy-Droppies. Not good for the shoes." It was probably one of the best bits of advice he had given in a pretty long time. Which was depressing in itself, not that that sort of thing ever bothered him.
That said though, he then grinned happily at her for a moment before stating. "Though it does look kinda fun. Backwards walking. Do you do it a lot? Should I try it..? Shi'n could probably do it... Jyssie might think it was weird though..." He seemed to trail off into his own thoughts for a moment.. his steps slowing as his expression clouded, most of effort now being exerted on working out whether the pretty assassin he liked to spend his time with would object to him meandering down a street backwards...
"I don't know..." he suddenly mused, having fallen quite silent for a while.. and the blue and red eyes, suddenly flicked back to the female, blinking at her properly for the first time. "Lady wears a lot of pink..." he stated, rather surprised seemingly. Almost all the women he'd ever met had worn a lot of dark colours, it seemed to be a thing in the G'eld family.. "Pink Lady is here why..?" He grinned, why not ask, he was a nosy bugger after all! "Just for the backwards walking?"

Goddess he was a kook! He was as flipping unhinged as a chest after a thief gets done with it!
Xee's lips broke out into a wide grin. She had found her entertainment! Best of all...he was a male. Rather then an activity. Xee pondered for a second if he was owned by someone. He probably was, given how well dressed he seemed to be. Odd as it was.
"I'm not so worried about stepping in some dung. Rothe smells so bad I'll smell it in plenty of time to miss it." She informed the strangely talking male. The next few moments though she choose not to answer him. She preferred to watch, as his gaze seemed to slip away to some other reality or something. How strange his eyes were! She'd never seen two different colors before.
The male seemed quite apt to keeping the conversation going on his own, still..Xee wanted to be a part of it, so she quipped when he did direct a question to her. "Oh yes. I walk backwards a lot. It's how I stay so young. If you walk forwards all the time you age forwards, but if you walk backwards you age backwards." Shi'n? Was that his name? And Jyssie? Perhaps his Mistress?
Wow! He jumped topic pretty quickly didn't he? Xee looked down at her outfit. Pink...yes she supposed she did...but she liked the color. The next question that was directed at her she couldn't help but twitch her lips in a small grin. She could say something in-nane. The urge to do so was very strong...
"Oh the backwards walking is part of it. I'm here looking for someone to have some fun with. You look like a fun person. Do you like fun... Shi'n?"

Shi'n shrugged slightly, not really changing his pace, but stepping around a lump of.. something.. that had been left in the street. "Depends on the fun. The making Kalan jump fun is fun. But not the hitting in the face with a foot fun. That fun id more hurty than fun to be honest..." he looked thoughtful for a moment, he had been kicked a fair few times for his attempts at humour.. apparently jumping out at the house matron lady wasn't a good idea.
He seemed a little distracted however... his mind was clearly still ticking over something... he should tell Kalan. That would be great.. then..if he could.. it was mean sure... but it would be so funny! "Do you think if I made him walk backwards all the time he'd eventually have to be a infant again..?" The thought was mumbled out loud... he would have to try this... he really would.
"How old do you think you'd be if you didn't walk backwards...?" He asked, the look of concentration melting into curiosity now. "Because Pink Lady doesn't look very old. So either lots of walking backwards... or just not actually very old."

After it was that Xee saw Shi'n step around something, she decided that perhaps it was time for her to start walking properly. She turned mid step, hopped once, and continued to keep stride with the very unusual drow. He was certainly helping to distract her, and she wasn't losing any coins this way either! Although he certainly had a strange way of talking! It was almost simplistic, nearly childish but not. She was certain she saw more maturity in his face then a little kid...but not by much.
"Hmm. I am not certain. I think for every step forwards you take, you need to take fifty steps backwards. So it would be very difficult to catch up enough to turn your age back that far. I figure at the most I will add another ten years to my lifespan if I walk backwards a hour every day." She explained away her little jest, as the other seemed to really be putting some thought into it. It was kinda fun actually. They were having a Nonsense conversation!
How old was she? For a moment Xee was tempted to tell him she was a thousand years old. But after what she had just said she decided it would not be very 'believable'. "Oh no. I'm not very old at all. I'm just trying to keep up with my youth is all." She lifted a hand anf flipped it through her hair.
"It sounds like I'm doing a good job though. Hmm... Pink Lady is a cute name, but my real name is Xee. Tell me Shi'n, where are you heading right now?"

"Aaah. Understood." the dual eyed male stated, looking at the female with an amused expression on his face. "I was told once that if you stand on your head for a half day each month you never get wrinklied skin. The blood goes all into your face and stretches it all back into shape. So walk backwards on your hands and it might help as well! Less years, less wrinklies... you'd have to be onto a winner there." He lifted his hand and ruffled his fingers through the spikey side of his hair.
"So Pinky lady, what are you doing, where are you going who do you know and what will you see..?" he asked in a sing song voice, regardless of the conversation we have already had. "Will you fly to the rood of the cave to talk with the bats? Or shall we run backwards into a tavern and see who can spill the most flagons...? It's fun, but you have to run like the Goddess was on your tail after..." He grinned at her.
"I'ma call you pink lady, because you trust Shi'n, if he calls you Xeeeeeee.." he purposely elongated the e sound. "It'll really bug you, huh Xeeeee? Don't you think so Xeeee...? Don't you agreeeee...?" He grinned impishly at her.

It was so utterly rare and random to have a conversation like this. No insideious barbs being slipped in. No importance to the discussion. Just pure craziness for their indulgance. "Exactly!" Xee lifted a finger like she had made some important point and nodded her head.
Shin broke out into his own little sing song of questions then, and Xee's lips cracked into a slight grin. "Just talking a little talk. Just walking a little walk. Just strangers amoung the strange. I'm seeing how long Xee can go on before it's time to catch some Z's" She composed her own sing song reply for Shin, and followed it up with a quick little wink from her red eye. Even as Shin tried to make her name sound annoying, Xee started to laugh.
"Oh no. it won't annoy meeeeeeeeee any. But the other drow about might konk you one if you keep it up. Pink Lady I shall be then! At least for you Shi'in."

"I think you doubt my ability to irritate!" He stated with a happy bounce, dancing once around the female drow with a delighted smile on his face. "I think, Pinky, that most people who see me want to konk me, I talk, they get angry, it's awfully fun and ever so fun!" He chuckled again, finally making himself slow down and stop bounding by her side.
"What should we do! We need to go somewhere, see some thing! I have t go soon, back home, away. Chore's I have, though I've not done them, but I don't want to yet.." he let his words trail off, meeting Xee had filled him with a rush of wild excitement and though he had things he needed to do, well... he'd rather spend it with her.
"I know a place... way out in the caves where the light from above its some crystal.. I took Jyssie there, gave him my goggles and let him see! I go to the surface! Raider, I'm a raider... would lady like to see the light? Would you lady? Would you..?" he beamed at her again.. "It's pretty! I promise!"

Xee did not fight the urge to smile at Shi'n. He was too amuseing, in a way that did not leave others feeling angry or miffed. Despite Shi'ns claims of people wanting to hurt him. "Well. I like it when you talk Shi'n. You make me smile. That's pretty rare. For a male your really...interesting."
And he was rather surpriseing. Xee blinked as Shi'n spoke of going to the surface and some crystal. A crystal? A big one? "Who is...Jyssie? A crystal? i would love to see this crystal Shi'n." Light though? Xee stood and rubbed the back of her head for a moment.
"You know what...I would. I would like to see this light Shi'n. If you can promise it'll be safe. I hear it's really dangerouse but..if you can get me there and back... Yes. Please take me."
