He had told Iggy that he would call Jace, but he hadn't been thinking of Jace's reaction at the time, more of Wisp's. So now he was sure he was a moron of epic proportions, in a way he had never been before.
That didn't make him put down the phone. "Ah, yes, it's nice to talk to you as well, Aunt Beatrix," he said. "Can I speak to Jace for a moment?"

"Of course," said Beatrix, who had a notorious soft spot for Antony and would have generally put him through even if Jace had been grounded. "Just let me call her."
After a few moments, the phone rustled again. "Titty Bar, 113 West Street," said the voice. "We got titties, we got bar. What's up, man? Need me to come bail you out of something? I've been waiting for this day, seriously."

"I am relishing this moment," came the voice on the other end of the line. Jace was always far too happy to be asked for any kind of help from Antony; it happened so very, very rarely. "Relishing. So busy relishing. Full of relishing. I kind of want to take a picture. What do you need?"

He frowned slightly, reaching up and straightening the pencils on his desk before speaking. "You see, I was talking with Iggy the other day and one way or another Wisp's little crush came up," he said slowly. "And he suddenly asked why we didn't just go out as a group sometime. So now I need a... friend."

There was a short silence across the phone; Jace wasn't stupid enough to not know what 'friend' meant. Jace was, however, stupid enough to get entirely the wrong end of the stick, and the switched the phone to her other ear as Antony could hear her drumming her fingers on the table. She didn't even comment about Iggy and Wisp, which she probably would later. "You'd owe me getting you pimped out with Irelia," she said, "especially because Rel wears, like, the most skanky-assed clothes ever, and that's with Wisp around, Queen of Skanky-Assed Clothes. Okay, but I need a bribe, because I can probably convince her, but you're payin'. Free icecream for a week."

"Not Irelia," he said quickly. "I'm having enough trouble with that little triangle. I'm going to avoid newly teenaged females for now. Besides, I really doubt either Irelia or Delilah would go to see Titanic II, Jack's Revenge," he said.

"Which I want to see so hard," came the reply, before the girl obviously parsed that -- "Dude, you're taking me along? And I have to see Wisp be retarded at Iggy all night? Damn. Okay, I'll do it, but just because I love popcorn. And because if M.B. knows you're going, she won't give Wisp a curfew, so I'm protecting Iggy's innocence. Not that he'd know what to do with a chick if she was naked and had like a diagram. We're seriously going to have to give Iggy The Talk."

There was a long, drawn-out, utterly grossed-out ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww from the other end of the line. "Sick," Jace said. "You are sick. Iggy is an innocent flower, man, I bet you ten dollars he won't make out with a girl until he's like, an adult."
