Bernadette's mouth hang open in an 'o', clearly awed by what she saw before her. Whoa! They had these? Seriously? That was so cool! Not only had Nice Mommy convinced Cold Mommy that going out during the day would be okay for her if she was completely covered but then Cold Mommy had had the genius idea of coming here! An indoor playground was idea to Claudine because that meant she didn't have to keep herself bundled from head to toe like an albino who'd spontaneously combust in the sun.
Oh wait that's exactly what it was.
At least little children were easily amazed and usually easily pleased, Claudine smiled softly down at the little girl who was squeezing hers and Arianna's hands and hopping up and down on her toes. "Arianna and I will be with the other parents over there, Bern." Claudine gestured to the area filled with other mothers and fathers with a gloved hand, giving Bernadette's a squeeze and letting go of her to bend down to eye level with the little witchling child. "Come to us if you need anything."
"I'm sure she'll be fine, love." Arianna assured the vampiress with a soft chuckle, watching her lover look as bashful as a person could when you could barely see their face through the thick black veil she was wearing. Bernadette grinned and nodded in agreement with Nice Mommy's words.
"I'll be good!" She promised, waving both women off to their 'designated area' and hurrying off to play with the other children in the play area.

Bellaluna smiled as she walked her three younger siblings into the indoor playground. The Belune had never been to one of these and neither had the sprats, so they were all excited to come. Bella's 'father', Harriet, was pretty much whisked off for the weekend by his girlfriend so they could get 'a little better acquainted' with each other. The purple teen didn't quite know what this meant but it sounded good for him!
Running happily ahead of her were the three members of Harriet's family. The eldest was the young Herald, Alice, who was by far the most energetic. Her soft purply wings fluttered as she ran towards the play things. Behind her, the youngest - the orange haired, cat eared Adele, his small tail flitting out behind him as he did.
The one who went the slowest, occasionally toddling back to Bella to be picked up, was Ismerauda, the middle child. She had the lower legs of a Clydesdale and was pretty much a little ice princess, save for her lower energy levels and strange legs that prevented her from skating.
It was Adele who saw Bern first. Alice was already rushing up to go down one of the slides, and Issy was trailing behind, but the boy walked up at just the moment to see the other little girl, with her funny nose and orange hair.
"Hallo!" he said as he walked up next to her, smiling brightly.

Hm...maybe she should have picked a skort to make climbing these things easier. At least Nice Mommy had been thoughtful enough to hold onto her hat for her; going down slides would be a hassle if she had to make sure she wasn't losing her hat instead of just enjoying the slide! But for now she was staring at a rope ladder with a tiny pout. How to climb up that without everyone getting a show up her dress...hmmm...this was hard stuff for a little girl her age!
Her thoughts on how to climb up in her dress were interrupted by a bright little 'hallo!' beside her, blinking and turning to see who was calling out to her. At least she assumed it was her, human instinct and all that jazz. "Hi!" Oooh he had fun kitty ears! She wanted to touch them...oooh, would he let her though? Oh man! They looked fuzzy, and there was a girl nearby with horsey legs and another girl with purple wings. And this boy had a cape! Was he a super hero?

"I'm Adele. Who're you?" the boy asked, bouncing on his toes, his cape flying behind him as he did. Yay! Responsive people!
Ismerauda toddled up shyly towards them and waved at Bern from behind her brother.

"I'm Bernadette." She answered, distracted by watching the flying cape. Whoooa, she wanted one too! Cold Mommy was wearing something just like his cape, only hers was black and it was heavier and thicker and it covered her entire body except for her head. She glanced at Cold Mommy and Nice Mommy for a second to make sure they really were where they said they'd be, turning back satisfied to Adele and the pony girl as she waved. Ooh! She was pretty!
Her hand self consciously flew to her nose for a moment, quickly covering up the act to make it look like she was scratching an itch on the bridge of her nose. "You can call me Bern though! Who're you?" This question was directed at the other little girl.

Ismerauda blushed and hid a bit behind Adele. "That's Issy, she's my big sister. Alice is my other sister, she's much bigger." the boy said, pointing to the angel girl as she practically few out of the end of one of the slides.

"Hi, Issy." Bern smiled and waved to the horsey princess hiding behind Adele. She hadn't had the chance to meet other kids her age yet! The only people she'd been able to play with so far were Cold Mommy, Nice Mommy and Cold Mommy's maids! So this was unexplored territory to her. When Alice flew out from the end of one of the slides the girl gasped. Was she okay? That looked fun!
"Wanna play?" She offered with hopeful eyes, looking between Issy and Adele. She wasn't sure what exactly they would play but it was more fun to play with other children than to run around this place by herself.

Adele nodded profusely. "Suresure! Issy will play too! She's just shy." he explained with a bright grin and a nod. The boy was much more vocally capable and bouncy than his sister. And more social. "What should we play?"
Alice giggled as she landed on the soft ground outside of the slide and ran to find something else to play on. Like swings!

Shy? Well, that was understandable. They'd never met before! Oh wait...did that mean she had to be a little shyer too? What was life without a little risk? Besides, no one could get away with hurting her with Cold Mommy around. Besides, what harm could come to her here? The floor was spongey and colorful! That could never hurt anyone!
Now what did they want to play...hm...
"Hide an' seek?" It was something she played with Nice Mommy and the maids because Cold Mommy's house was so big, and this place looked like it had a lot of hiding places so it seemed ideal!

"Uh.." She was about to offer a game of rock, scissors, paper to determine the first counter but Issy volunteered herself. Bern grinned and nodded.
"'Kay! No peeking~!" She'd wait for Issy to find a place to sit and count before nodding to Adele and skipping to where she saw a small set of stairs to climb instead of the rope ladder.

Ismerauda knelt on the floor a small ways away. She then covered her eyes, waiting a small while to do her count down.
Adele, meanwhile, half leapt up the rope ladder, and somehow climbed onto the top of one of one of the jungle gym areas and flattened himself out on top so he was invisible from down below. That counted as a hiding space in his book due to the fact that anywhere up high was hidden, at least in his opinion.

Adele was really good at climbing, way better than Bern thought she'd ever be. But that didn't help, she needed a place to hide...hm...the swings? No, that wouldn't do. Hm...oh! Perfect! Bern lifted the skirt of her dress enough so she wouldn't step on it as she hurried up the stairs to hide behind a piece of wall sticking out with one of those sliding puzzles on it. If anything she could dart to the slide near her if Issy got close to finding her.

Softly, the horse girl started her counting. "Woon, twoo, twee, fwoh, feeve, seecks, seeveen, eet, neen, teen." she cooed softly, her horsey ears flicking around. "Reedy knot, harrycomb!"
Uncovering her eyes, Ismerauda turned around three times, trying to figure out where the other kids might have hidden. And that's when she noticed there were places to climb up high. Based on her small understand of Adele, she started to slowly climb the rope ladder, shakily, to see if the other child was up there.

Bern peeked out for a moment to see if Issy was done counting yet, having just barely heard the call of her coming over the cries and cheers of other children. Now where was she--oh! There she was, she could see the horse girl trying to climb the rope ladder through the space between the safety bars across from her. Oh wait, if she could see Issy than Issy could see her...oh dear. Uh...oh! Bern crawled away to hide next to the entrance of the nearby slide, squishing herself into the corner as much as she possibly could.
