So we all know that there's that one measure or phrase in that one peice of music that just frustrates us so grately.
What have you done because you were really frustrated.
Here's a list of what I've done:
1. Cried
2. Thrown my instrument across the room
3. Yell at the top of my lugs at the music
4. Rip the music in half
5. Punched a wall
6. made a squwek and held it
7. Called a friend and complained
8. Stoped took a break and then went though it slow and got faster and faster
9. Slapped myself
and the new one I did today
10. Bit the finger I kept messing up with hard enough to break the skin XD
XD so tell me what crazy stuff you've done

Lolol I've done all those things.
Except hold a squeak. Cause brass doesn't squeak.
But I'll let the note go until I'm playing a bad pedal tone. If that counts. xD

1. threw a fit and punched the flute next to me by accident (haha she was my drum major during concert season too)
2. threw a fit and hit myself in the head with my flute
3. threw a fit and purposely punched my brother
notice how they all have threw a fit in them hehe...i act like a 2 year old and i'm turning 16 december 1st haha!
4. banged my head against the wall
5. broke my mirror (that bad luck for 7 years is true by the way hehe)
6. took my anger out by stuffing myself with food
7. got a headache from playing the flute too long
8. yelled at my mom to leave me alone and she took my flute away
9. alright i'll admit...in 6th grade i cried from trying to get a noise out of the flute and ending up light headed.
haha that's literally how i act when i get pissed and cant get a phrase right! same thing with learning how to march

usually i'll just cry if i'm frustrated and fed up with it all
but if i'm frustrated and mad then i will probably swear alot be mean to my friend, the other bass clarinet ******** you sarah and you're stupid brain that know what it's doing"
i say that alot in band :/

well i sit and swear to myself and wish that the practice was over and i also suck on my mouthpiece very very bad brass player habit sweatdrop

Things I've done:
1. Cried (everyone does, even the a-holes who say it's "not manly")
2. Taken my frustrations out on a sibling, parents, and even friends
3. Blogged, frustrated, and posted MySpace bulletins to annoy my friends
4. Smashed a clay pot against my head (yes, it hurt)
5. Punched through a wall (I had to patch it up and paint it)
6. Nearly tore my door down (I had to fix that, too)
7. Cracked the screen on our family's home phone (I told my parents that it was water that had gotten on it when my brother was talking to someone outside)

Wow...I can't say I've ever reacted that severly to a frustrating part of the music. Normally, the only sign I'm frustrated with the music is that I swear a lot and come up with creative insults for everyone around me.

Oh, gracious...
ive...
*smacked my baby onto my lap (or the stand if i miss)
*strangled my stand or music
*made the "ugh!!" noise
*thrown my flute on the ground
*slammed the very expensive, very new chair into its place
*and rammed my head into the stand repeatedly
sometimes it helps, sometimes it hurts like the dickens.

scream, play through it slowly, say screw it an slam my case closed, refuse to play it, crumpled my music, hit my head on various hard things(stand, wall, door, my horn etc)

It really depends on what happened. When it comes to measures I can't play... well... it's Tuba music, we hardly come across too much of hard stuff... lol, I write all over my music. I have a habit when I'm having trouble of writing in the fingerings and subdivision of the notes.
I hate when my Tuba falls off the corner of the chair. The huge mouthpiece hits my mouth in either the my teeth or in my jaw, hurts SO bad. D<
I yell... or go 'nnnyyygghhh!!!'
When I get frustrated during marching season and other times stress levels are testosterone-ally high, I demand things [I'm a section leader] like 'you, get your instrument.', 'Hey! Hurry up and get that uniform on!' and 'get back here warm up, play your scales'
lol... I'm really friendly, but when I crack things break. xD

Worst for me was me refusing to play >.> cause no one in my section co-operates. So our tuning is horrendous.

things i have actually done:
1. cried
2. do this weird squeak thing (not with my instrument) when i wanna scream but im holding it back
3. slammed the 6 major keys down continuously
things i've wanted to do:
1. cry
2. scream at the top of my lungs
3. curse out the music
4. curse out the kids who can play the part
5. throw down my instrument
6. punch someone
