The Hideout

The hideout is a very simple village. Anything larger would attract too much attention from the Intergalactic Alliance.

A collection of small, circular wooden huts makes up most of the village. In the centre of the village is a paricularly large hut where the Jedi Council meet. Only Jedi Masters and Chancellors may enter this hut. Smaller huts surround the area, most only consisting of a single room. These are the living quarters for the Jedi, built by them as part of their training.

A 10ft high wooden fence surrounds the village, with only a single gate in it, under constant supervision by Jedi. Since the creation of this village, a faint purple fog has covered the village. The Jedi Council have speculated reasons for the occurance of the fog, but it still remains a mystery.

Supplies are extremely limited at the temple. Only a small amount of the bare essentials are stocked to minimise the room taken up by supplies. The only square hut in the entire village hosts the supplies. It is based close to the Council Chamber so that there is easy access to all the inhabitants of the village, even though Jedi, once again, guard the supplies as they are considered the most valuable items in the village. Jedi are regularly sent out to get more supplies from other planets, however, only small groups are sent, and only to get a small quantity to keep a low profile.

No ships can be seen anywhere in the village. Ships are forbidden to land anywhere near the village. It is thought that if too many ships assemble, it will arise the suspision of the Intergalactic Alliance and reveal the hideout. There are no techincal devices inside the village for the same reason.

Finally, the Jedi roam the village as they would if they were back in the temple. They are expected to continue the way of the Jedi, the ideals and the training. The strong Darkside presence on the planet makes it harder for the Jedi to resist the Darkside, which is why their ideals are more important now then ever before....

The Story

Jedi have always been the guardians of peace. Through many millenia the Jedi have helped the Republic maintain peace and control. But now, the Heros of the Vong are no longer trusted by those in the Galaxy. Forced to keep peace, the Republic, now named the "Intergalactic Alliance" declared that anyone able to command the Force turn themselves into the Intergalactic Alliance.

Many Jedi died attempting to flee the overwelming forces of the newly formed Intergalactic Alliance. Those who were able to avoid the Intergalactic Alliance's forces fled to one of the few planets not under Intergalactic Alliances control, Korriban.

Renowned for being the homeworld of the Sith, the Jedi came to Korriban seeking aid from the only beings left that might be able to help them, the Sith. Having forever been locked in war, the Sith reluctantly accepted to help the Jedi, but only in times when the Sith themselves were threatened by the war.

Glad that they had got atleast a little aid from their former enemies, but still worried about the influence from the Darkside, the Jedi set up a small village on the other side in which they could train any new Force sensative lifeforms.

Regardless of their current situation, the Jedi vowled to stick to their old way, the Jedi Code, only now, they would have to fight off the army of the Intergalactic Alliance...

General Rules

All the rules of the guild and this thread will be upheld. Failure to follow them will result in warnings, penalties to your character and eventually expulsion from the guild. Those who break Gaia's ToS will be report to a Gaia moderator in they fail to change after a warning from us.

1. Stick to Gaia's ToS (link located at the bottom of each page). This includes keeping the signature limit under 100 kb and smaller then 500 x 500 pixels.

2. Flaming will not be accepted. Anyone caught flaming another user, for what ever reason, will be punished along with any other members involved.

3. Do not post here requesting to join the Jedi. Post in the character thread that you wish to become a Jedi, along with all the other information required, and you will recieve a PM saying whether you were accepted. Any posts here requesting to join will be deleted and may possibly affect your future chances to become a Jedi here.

4. Never ask about being promoted. Promotion is based upon your RP ability. We are the ones that have to be convinced that you deserve to be promoted, not you.

5. Do not argue with any Moderator OOC. No one cares if you have to right to free speech or not. If you have been told to do something, you do it. If you have a problem with it then PM another guild Moderator.

6. Try to keep OOC chat to the OOC threads but if it must be posted, clearly show it with either double brackets (()) or with OOC:

7. God Modding will not be tolerated. Stick to the Anit-Munch Project (Link coming)

The Force System

The exact details of the Force System can be found here.

The Force system is designed to keep a difference between the Jedi ranks. Higher rank Jedi have more and better skills available to them. These skills differ from path to path. The paths available are:

Jedi Guardian
Jedi Sentinel
Jedi Consular

People can only use the moves they are able to use (shown in the tables) when they are at the rank and when they have been taught them in RP. Using moves unavailable is considered godmodding.

Rules On Promotion

The most important thing to be promoted is to be active, and show good RP skills. These things count heavily in your promotion

1: The first rank, Initiate, is fairly short. It's more like a test if you have the skills, and activity, to become an official student. They are only certified to wield vibroblades or swords, as they are the basis of any lightsaber training.

2: The Padawan rank however, is fairly long. The student must learn how to use the Force, understand the Jedi Code, learn basic and more advance lightsaber training, as well as other aspects, all at their Master's bidding. Don't b***h if we don't promote you after 3 weeks, it does take time.

3: The promotion to Knight is the most complicated one. First, you are selected for promotion. To be promoted, you will need to make your own lightsaber. This will require RP. There is a crystal cave on Korriban, but the best crystals are found on Ilum and Ossus. After getting a crystal, and making the saber, you need to finish a mission, appointed to you by the Council, succesfully. Afterward, you will be promoted, assuming you pass the test. Should you fail then more training will be required at Padawan level. As a Knight, you are given more freedom and responsibilities. Knights are expected to train a student, though this is discouraged for new Knights. Knights are also expect to take some initiative but without disobeying the expectations of the Council.

The other promotions are more random. They happen if we think you showed good skills for a while, or did some good thing, like finishing a hard mission.

4: The Protector is an advancement of Knight. One becomes stronger with the Force as well as their skill with a lightsaber. There is little difference to Knight at this level other then improved abilities and higher authority. This is the start of a Jedi's path to Master, though becoming a Protector is not a certainty that they will become a Master.

5: A Chancellor does the bidding of the Council. They have similar resposibilities to the Jedi Council, but only less important. Decisions made by the Chancellors followed as if they were made by the Jedi Council. Only the very best Chancellors will progress to become a Master. These are the only other Jedi who are allowed to enter the Council room without special permission, however they are not allowed to sit in on Council meetings.

6: Masters sit on the Jedi Council. They decide what is best for the Jedi and, in times of war, help command and organise the armies. Very few will make it, so don't be angry if you aren't one of those, you aren't the only one

(( gonk Stop le spam gonk ))

Sephiroth stepped out of his shack, the hot Korriban sun beaming down upon him. He raises his hand over him eyes, shielding them from the light, then walked to the storage shelter to get an early bite to eat.

It was only a short walk to the shelter. The village was very small and the centrally based storage room gave everyone quick access. As he approached the shelter, he could see the two who were supposed to be guarding the storage room had drifted off into a peaceful sleep. Sephiroth sighed, shaking his head.

Typical. Sleeping on the job.

He tip-toed passed them, the quietly opened the door into the storage shed, cringing as it creeked. The first thing he noticed was the complete lack of supplies. The village had be up for several weeks, but the supplies that were bought with them should have lasted longer.

Sephiroth grabbed a Kanali Wafer from a box, then walked out of the shed, slamming the door shut behind him this time, startling the guards. Sephiroth was now looking for a few Jedi he could send out to get more supplies.

"Damn! who was slamming around with the door here! you can't just sleep quietly or some idiot...."

*he slowely opens his eyes and notices the bright sun, with the siloueth (sp) of seph standing in it. He lets himself drop back, closes his eyes again to get rid of the sunlight a bid, and stands up after a short while..."Oh, it's you..." he says, while standing up. He walks over to seph*

"how are the students adapting to the new place.?..this...ruin complex... sleeping between broken walls, and fallen bricks isn't easy...or in small, fragile wooden hutts ((ok DE))...I prefer a nice ruin above that, at least they don't blow away..."

Brood Mayran

PostPosted: Sat Jan 15, 2005 6:58 am

Yawning and stretching, Jedi Protector Brood Mayran stepped out of her hut into the sun.

She really disliked having to be back on Korriban, especially under the same sun that gave her the deep tan she has now. And she especially hated having to accept help from the Sith, especially from that damned Luke.
While she knew there had been no other alternative at the time, she did notice that he didn't get into the talks so much as stared at all of them. Sighing deeply, she knew also that this was the way it had to be for awhile, until the Alliance let up on them.

She just hoped the Sith didn't lose their cool and drop a few hundred thermal detonators on their village between now and then.

I haven't seen many of the students around. It must be hard for them, the thought that we could come under constant attack at any moment.

Sephiroth looked around to see if anyone else was up. It was still early. Many of the other Jedi were still resting from their exaustion. Training in the hot sun is not easy on the body.

Have you seen any of the students around? It might be better for them to get off the planet for a bit. Plus, we need some more supplies.

"no... but then again, a lot are still spread around the galaxy...I hope they can find us here before they are attacked... we could use some supplies, but how safe is it to leave?

Besides, we need to stay focussed...the sith allow us here, and we will help eachother in need... but besides that, we are still in war..enter their territory unwanted and there is a large chance you get attacked anyway"

he says, while staring at the dry, dusty ground...

"I think i will speak to their leader soon, we need a closer alliance if we want to win this war, a more complete peace for now... we can continue or own fight afterward...if we don't ally, there will be noone left to fight"
PostPosted: Sat Jan 15, 2005 9:45 am

Yes, you are right. A stronger alliance is needed, but even with them fighting along side us, it will still be tough. They out number us by thousands. We cannot simply face them head on.

He streched his arms above his head, giving out a big yawn. The dark aura on Korriban had allowed him little sleep since they arrived. He was more desperate to get off the planet then anyone he knew, but most people kept quite about such things.

Lets talk military tactics another time. It is too early right now. I would think a couple of Jedi going out to get supplies would be safe enough, as long as they kept a low profile and only bought back a few weeks worth of supplies.

"somewhere in the galaxy there must still be people that support us, and that are ready to help us get this seetled, in a peacefull way or not...
But first, we need to make better rules with the sith... and we need our supplies, this dead rock offers hardly anything..."
he says, while walking to the edge of the valley their village is edging on, to make it easier to protect...well, it doesn't matter where you put your camp here, there are always at least 2 sides covered by a valley or mountain...
