We're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of oz Ootoro hummed harmonically to himself. It was a grand and glorious day indeed. Perfectly acceptable for amazing pristine alliterations and all that jazz. Today marked a special day. An anniversary of sorts.
Today, Grass and Fish would go berry hunting.
Strolling to where the Grass lounged (against a tree surrounded by real grass), Ootoro pounced until he landed right next to the sleeping Palui and gently wacked Majani on the a** to wake up.

Majani was so excited, she would go berry hunting with Ootoro. She tried to make herself more representable, since it was a special day. She went as far as grooming her fur and put some sort of flower crown on top of her head.
But Ootoro was taking too long. Or maybe she was too early?
So she decided to lean back and relaxed herself against the tree where they promised to meet at. The weather is so nice. She watched the tall grass she named after surrounding the tree. Somehow it made her eyes slowly fluttered closed and she fell into a peaceful nap before suddenly someone whacked her a**.
question exclaim
Jolted awake, she was still a bit dazed. Her flower crown slipped from the original position to one side, obscuring half of her vision. When she finally focused her eyes (or at least one of her eyes), she finally saw the familiar palui.
"You're finally here! Can I get my berry now?"

Ootoro grinned with mad glee at his buddy flower-crowned darling. One a** smack later Grass was awake. They were two chummy pals. Two peas in a pod. Two cherries sharing the same spring, both in perfect harmony!
"Yes, come on. We have to go to the *secret* berry cove of the water paluis at Hokepi Springs."
Fish was looking forward to this trip the most. The water palus were not known for sharing the sweetest berries on island. But with this Grass next to him they can achieve anything. Cue corny music in the background.

Majani eyes shone with glee and excitement. Fish always knew where to look for the sweetest berries on the island.
How Fish knew where the water paluis secret cove located at was..not something Grass wanted to know.
BERRIES AHEAD~!
And she would share it with her best buddy. Majani followed Ootoro with a little skip in her steps.

Grass had spots on her body that reminded Fish of berries. Besides, when they've both had their fill, they could always fling them at each other like play bullets. After, wash them up and eat some more. The possibilities were endless!
"Alright, Ready? Let's go!" without giving Grass a look backwards, he sprinted forward knowing she would follow. FIsh's stomach rumbled.
He started scheming up machinations should other water paluis give them trouble. "Yipppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" he yelled into the air.
Then in a much more calm voice he said to Fish as he ran toward their destination, "After berries, we'll look for mushrooms, then your namesake Grass and what should we do after that?"

Impatient aren't we?
Majani thought as she tried to catch up.
She was a bit worried how to distract the water paluis attention from them. Well, they could always make use their lion-like tail to trick and scared the other paluis away. She was more worried if one of them slip into their silly-mood and caused them getting caught.
And she hoped Lance won't be there. He usually caught up with swimming around the island and seldom socialize with his fellow water paluis.
"Uh, I don't have anything planned yet for what should we do after that. Let's do those first and see after that?"
Although simple nap and snug together actually sounds fine for her too.

Twists and turns later, plus three left forks they arrived at the destination. Well, almost. Beyond the grove of willow trees lay the secret berry cove. Ootoro sunk low to the ground with his tail twitching in the air typical of lion palui behavior. He motioned for Grass to do the same.
So far there weren't any water paluis that they could see at the surface. But they could easily be lounging behind grass, or but a few inches from the water surface.
Ootoro whispered, "I heard they're like Kappas. So I brought two cucumbers. I don't know if they'll work but at least we can throw it at them to distract them or to stun them" he handed one to Grass.
"Ready to go forward?"
