At the end of every year our band ends up giving gag awards to people just to lighten up mood and keep everyone happy.
We've had awards such as:
Most likely to be out of step.
Most likely to spin a flag the wrong way.
Best Improvisor
Most likely to break into tears...
Etc....
So what kind of awards have you given your band? Or if you haven't given any awards before, what kind of awards would you give to your band?

This least season we had....
Most likely to be out of step - got a drill card with golden baby sneakers attached
Most inventive for theme night - got a golden light bulb
Best looking guy in short shorts - golden short shorts
Least likely to show up - curious george watch

We always have some interesting ones in our band. It's usually different every year, when some one does something that we feel deserves an award.
Every year we have the "Best Couple That Never Got Together" award.
This year, we gave a crown to our Band Director for being the baldest man in the room.
We've also had:
Most Text Messages during a band trip
Eating a whole plate of squid on a band trip (Few people get this award.)
and Best Dinosaur Sound.

every years in Victoria Canada we have a banquet, and we all get band nick names.
my freshman year my name was: Minny Me
and last year i was Demon Sausage!...lol long story but really funny

Our most craziest award that we've given out has been the
"Pete" award. A kid (Peter) got it just because he was a senior,
and hadn't gotten an award yet. =P
I'm so jealous.
Last year, my freshman year, I got the musicianship award!

Two of the best ones we had were the "Urban Legend" award, and the "Pit Stop" award
Urban Legend-pretty much anything weird, strange, or out of the ordinary that happened to a person got this award. i.e. a rat's nest in a mello case of a kid, or the one year where a kid just totally went blind at a practice and couldn't see anything.
Pit Stop-the person who always had to go to the bathroom the most throughout the season.
We also have general ones like the "most improved marcher" award or the "best section" award.but those are boring.

oh god. some of em were awesome.
best uniform 'alteration'- our bass clarinetist, cory got it, for marching barefoot. he didnt wear the right shoes, but his socks were the right color.
best catchphrase- our band directior got it for a stupid, food thing for counting subdivisions, but my fav nominee was our lead trumpeteer's "up! up!"
best statement- our other bd yelled, into the mic, at all of us at band camp, "WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN ORDER DOMINO'S DURING BAND CAMP?!?!?!?!" a few of us ordered a couple domino's pizzas, and had em delivered to the school.
two most likely to be seen together(like a package, not couple.)- two twins from the clarinet section. another nominee was the trumpeteer from earlier this post, and our second best.

we had:
most likely to wear a bikini to band camp
best hair
craziest (not exactly that but something to that effect.)
and at one practice, she gave food to the people who marched the best during each song. (i got a cookie. =D)
