How long did it/each one take you to finish?: The line edited ones took several hours, the color only ones took1-2 hours if I recall correctly. Second practice image took an hour an 4 minutes. Most have died, or I simply grew bored of the lack of opportunities to hold and participate in events. Programs: Photoshop CS3 Why you want to work at SandPaints: I love this store, I am a secret stalker half of the time but have stopped by a few times. The lineart is beautiful and I would love to test and improve my skills here. Practice image provided: I have only done one sample because I was excited about entering, I shall produce more and edit this (hope that is ok). How much time would you have for the shop?: It would depend on the week, I am a Science teacher so sometimes we have busy weeks. That said I have weekends, plus a couple of hours a night. I work quickly so I should be able to be very active. I would give clear notice if I needed a "hiatus", however I can not forsee one in the close future. Programs: PhotoShop 7.0 Why you want to work at SandPaints: I love dragons, and these are some of the most beautiful dragons I have ever seen and have the potential to actually color them at that. ;-; Not only that, but I'm hoping to learn how to become a better colorist rather than just an editor...which my first actual coloring job was on those three samples I did for this app. As well as the templates, my first ones done under coaching, which I know we didn't have to do..but I wanted to..and cleaned up the sketchy lines to cause I had time.. How much time would you have for the shop?: Every Night And practically All Sunday. Friday And Saturday normally scarce though. How long did it/each one take you to finish?: Just edits, simple take about 30 mins. Complex 1-2 hours. Coloring, anywhere between 30 mins to 3 hours on the complexity and detail.

XD) Why you want to work at SandPaints: The question is why WOULDN'T I want to work for SandPaints? XD For starters the shop is just amazing. I mean omg! The lines are just simply gorgeous! I don't think I've seen such great quality lines in some time. It's good to see that there are still some shops like this out there. Another is that I'm just itching to color these lines! Haha silly I know but they are so pretty~~!! <333 Third, I know I might not be the best colorist in the world but I can say that I have improved a lot over the past year. The shop Jokoa` that I work for has helped me so much in the improvement process. I love the lines and I love to color and edit them. XD How much time would you have for the shop?: Haha I can actually tell you my class schedule for next semester if you wanted it. XD But when I'm not at school or at work(only like 2 days a week) I'm home on my computer. So any and all of my free time is spend on gaia to be honest. My time zone is in EST. Oh and pretty much every two weeks my friend comes back from her college so almost every 2 saturdays she steals me for the day. XD; I consider Jokoa` to be on a hiatus since the owner and normal colorists arent there so the shop is kind of deadish. The Forest of tranquility one is slow to begin with so there isnt a problem there either. How long did it/each one take you to finish?: I dont remember. ;w; After I finished the 1st one I realized I forgot to time myself. It didnt take me long though. owo; Other (optional): For experience I can safely say I set up and ran 2 holiday events. Both were for Jokoa`. This past Halloween event and the last Christmas one. I did the best of my abilities holding an event without main mule access. I think we did pretty well despite the fact how I could change the main thread title. Thank god for event mules right? XDD I'm also about to set up a mini thanksgiving event and will be holding another christmas event. XD So more event experience is coming. <3 I also set up the Forest of Tranquility's Halloween event. I only set it up though, I didn't actually run it. Since I held 2 holiday events I can say that I have held a variety of different things, from keeping track and updating raffle lists and pets, opening and closing and sniping guard watching auctions to holding several kinds of flatsales, games and the like as well. I don't think it makes a deference or not but I also helped create the guild for FoT. XD As in all the forums and whatnot. Actually... now that I think about it I think I technically created the guild. XD I believe I typed all the info in all the forums.Refered By: Myself

I'm also a colorist at Cheetah!Run. Have guest-colored before for Walkers Glade, plus a smattering of other small shops here and there. Programs: Right now, I'm using Adobe CS4. Also have openCanvas 4 Plus, which I use for some of the custom shading on my heavily edited Ponies Why you want to work at SandPaints: I adore the lineart, for one thing~ Also, this place just seems like a really cool shop and I'd love to have some other lines to play with and be able to edit from time to time (Cheetah!Run doesn't allow many edits XD; ) Practice image provided: [ x][ x][ x][ x][ x] .... The last two are edited, but I didn't shade any of them, per instructions. XD; Down below, though, you will see edited/shaded ponies. Most shop-stuff gets done over the weekend. For MLP, I pretty much have the shop set up now so work is spread out over a lot of colorists/guests so I don't have to do a TON. Mostly, I just have customs and breedings. We'll be doing something simple for Christmas/New Years there... and once the new year starts, we'll be having a FS each month with a different colorist per FS and some small thread-events and the like. Sometimes I run big shop events and those take a bit more time, but I should be able to keep up with both shops I think. How long did it/each one take you to finish?: I think the 5 samples above took me abooout... 2-3 hours total~ For something more complicated than those and with templates to edit... likely no more than an hour/hour and a half to do one.
