[OOC]I will note that Torment's bio is far from complete, and I haven't looked at yours in some time, so, yeah ^_^ Too lazy to go look too >.> Anyway, I will allow you to set up the terrain, leaving this post for OOC notes of my own.

Assume all of Torment's spell deal non-lethal damage. The equivalency of nonlethal damage in lethal damage results in unconciousness instead of death. If lethal damage is dealt, such as by Soul Forge weaponry, Soul Forge effects, or anything else that is not one of Torment's spells, it counts towards the Nonlethal damage equivalency. This is based off of, but not taken directly from, D&D rules.

Torment shall begin this fight as Torment.[/OOC]

(( 'The Hell?! ._.' That didn't take too long... Anyways, I don't plan on looking at your profile at all. ;3 Makes things a bit more interesting. I like surprises, and to make things even, I'll include all three basic elements somehow, in the terrain. Fire, Earth, and Water. >o' No, I don't believe there should be a fourth.))

Soft footsteps echoed throughout the quiet, dark Coliseum, the runes of a marble flooring standing firm beneath Willow's feet. Cracked and upheaved at strange angles were several of the pieces, stained with blood and smelling of death where who knows how many had fallen and impaled themselves upon the jagged rocks. There were patches of grass sticking up through the marble ruins in several places moving gently with the breeze that traveled through the hollow arena. Columns of the marble broken and scattered across the stadium brought one even further into the feelings of emptiness that the wasteland already had given to you. A large circular basin stood right in the center of the battlegrounds as one distinctive feature in the grounds. Though cracked, it still held a large ammount of water within it. The moonlight reflected in its depths made the basin seem to glow with an unknown power, though it was merely (as said before) a normal basin. And on the outskirts of the circular battlefield (40 yards in Diameter), hanging in front of the stands were several torches, brightly illuminating the outer ring of the battlegrounds, but none of the firelight seemed to touch the centre where the 'glowing' basin stood.

Suddenly, the footsteps stopped. 4 yards from the basin on the East side stood the young wolf demon, fully garbed in a military uniform and a light, yet thick, leather coat. With the posture of a regal fighter, her left hand rested upon the hilt of the katana hanging at her hip. Her face half hidden by the darkness, the light from the torches hitting her back making her look as though an aura surrounded her with confidence and strength. She tensed, looking across from the basin, expecting to soon see her opponent in the distance, though she hardly saw anything yet, unused to the mediocre lighting. "Whenever you're ready, Torment..." Willow called out, prepared both mentally and physically for the upcoming skirmish.

The flames in the torches throughout the Coliseum began to burn brightly, their flames surging with a bright blue flame that was hardly natural. The flame began to overtake the halls on the side opposite Willow, the torches becoming infernos of celestial fire. The distinct sound of boost clomping on a solid floor rang out, signalling the flame's source: The one, the only, Torment Nusradai.

The flames quickly raged out of control as his form became outlined in the flame, passing through without a second thought. As he left the flames behind, they followed. Not only in his footsteps did they leap forth, but his back was alight with two majestic wings that stretched out behind him, each of the most vibrant violet wreathed in an aura of the same azure flames. Two white balls of fluff peeked through a tangle of ashen locks that were kicked up by a heated wind that rose around him, his violet eyes hidden behind a pair of shades so dark in color they appeared black instead of their natural purple. His shirt billowed around him, the phoenix emblazoned upon the back seemingly in flight, the two wings protruding from Torment's back passing through the thin material without harming it the slightest. Odd.

He gestured wide as he spoke, "This place is not fitting for me to so much as grace it with my presense." He gave Willow a sideways glance, "Just don't stand there all day, my dear. I might get bored and have to really teach you a lesson for wasting my time."

Willow chuckled softly, taking a step back. "...and yet you grace me with your presence anyways. How ironic..." With a smile, she bowed formally as she would at the start of any spar, and suddenly vanished, a few pieces of rubble from where she had once stood flying up into the air for a moment. The grass nearby seemed to be overcome by a strong burst of wind. Willow reappeared 3 feet behind Torment, her 2ft, 3in. long katana already unsheathed and grasped firmly in her right hand. In a diagonal arch going from her left to her right (from down to up), she used the middle of the blade to attempt to slice off his right wing. At the same time, she concentrated, and to make things a bit more 'fun' for her, attempted to set his right pantleg on fire, right around the ankle. All the while, she avoided letting any of her limbs hit the azure flames, unsure of their effects upon her own body, since they seemed to be of celestial origin.

Torment didn't so much as move as the blade went up and through the wing, creating a burst of azure flames that spread outwards much like a fireball to consume Torment and anything else within a five foot radius of the wing, all of it the same flaming blue. Yet the wing remained. The flames licking at Torment's leg seem to go unnoticed, ignored wholy and completely.

He brought his left hand up into a balled fist in front of his face, concentrating for a moment before three claws of what seemed to be brilliant robin's egg blue ice forced themselves from between his knuckles. With a quick jerk in a downward direction a short trident ejected from his arm, emerging from magical storage. His right hand came up and snatched it from the air as he spun, aiming to turn and slash at Willow. The slash would not come from the trident, named Wave, itself, but from a blade of white light growing from the tip.

((~_~ you're making me have to think... I don't like thinking....))

Cursing silently to herself and little more than surprised by the sudden spurt of flames flying out at her. Being a 'fire user' had its advantages. concentrating again, she moved back rather quickly (about 7 feet), holding out her left hand to manipulate the white flames and suppress them for a few moments until she was out of their range. Still holding her katana in her right hand, she saw the faint outline of Torment through the white flames, and watched him turn, making out something in his hand that he was swinging towards her. She immediately crouched, ducking the attack, and used her left hand to pull out 3 kunai, throwing them at his lower chest, right shoulder, and right arm that weilded..ed... the trident.

The fireball of flame danced around Torment as it began to infuse with the same robin's egg blue as the small trident, a dull roar beginning to fill the area from the flames themsleves. Out from the fireball, which oddly had not died down, Torment's wings pulled out and swept up in front of him with a counter, the Wing Shards. A burst of wind, flame, and parcels of energy in the shape of feathers came darting out towards Willow, each aligned only to Torment's own soul, born of the Soul Forge. A few would meet the kunais and cancel out the assault, but the others, ranging in the twenties, were all aimed at Willow.

Willow dove off to her right side, and went into a roll, going behind a marble column. As she rolled the katana out to her left side (which was facing Torment) created a windmill like motion that 'deflected' 6 of the Wing Shards. In other words, they were absorbed into the sword itself. The remaining energy and wind however, still hit her, creating a few slices in the leather material of her coat (at this point, the silver runes on the lining of the coat began glowing a bit). That absorbed most of the attack, but still she ended up with a few scratches on her right arm, as well as on her torso and shoulders. Another 16 of the Wing Shards missed their mark from her evasive maneuver and/or got stuck in the broken marble column she was currently crouching under.

Now around 3 yards away from where she had been standing before, Willow crouched near the end of the marble column, She quickly sheathed the katana and pulled out a strange looking wooden flute, and immediately pressed it to her lips. The music that left it immediately began wrapping its invisable threads through Torment, and like a fisherman would attempt to hook a fish, the music attempted to wind its way around his mind and heart. The sound that left it didn't only seem to wind itself inside Torment through his ears, but also through every opening on his body. The Music of Illusion grew a bit louder, and if Torment wasn't to act soon, the music would probably render him unconcious within the next 5 minutes. (RP time, around... 2 posts) The symptoms however, began almost immediately. He'd probably begin to feel his strength leaving him, now. Willow, however seemed to be concentrating one ear hard on the music (while keeping the other on sounds of any movement from Torment), listening to every note wound into the song, yet didn't seem affected at all.

Willow's expectations would, however, be far from reality. The song not only had no effect on the Archmagi, but began to bend to his will instead. Aye, he could hear it, but he was a Master of Illusions and Transmutations. Deceit and Change were nothing to him, and bowed down before him. Whatever the music was, it began to pulse with the beat of Torment's own heart, quickening as the tempo was seized and set aflame. To use one's own element against them is suicide.

((If, for some reason, my attempts to override the Music of Illusion cannot be executed or they'd still have no effect, then I guess its fun background music? ^_^))

The fireball around Torment was burning white hot, now bright enough to veil him in a shroud of light and flames, yet this was not his goal. The floor upon which they stood began to take on an unearthly glow as if the stones were begining to shine with a radiance that stemmed from the spirit within. Torment's spirit. He was doing little as he extended his soul outwards in conjunction with the casting of a spell, the flames that wreathed his wings flaking off in sheets as soul energies were used for both actions.
