It was late summer but day were still hot and Flik was resting is shadow under a big tree just at the edge of the forest. He was playing with stalk of grass in his mouth for there was nothing to do and he was bored. So he was daydreaming again watching the grass dance on breeze. The plain was big perfect for running but he wasn't up for it today. Suddenly he spotted a small figure in distance coming his way. '' well well looks like this day won't be so boring after all '' he thought and decided to wait for this stranger to get closer before he greats him.

Abel always liked walking in clearings on days like this, it was very refreshing and he could always take his mind off of things bothering him. The winged stallion nickered lightly as he watched the bugs and birds flutter about, smiling warmly. As he approached the forest, he was unaware of the other that had spotted and was now watching him from the shadows of the trees, tail flicking lightly behind him.

The winged stallion continued to stroll along. He was still peacefully unaware of the other... that is, until something had leaped out from the forest and stopped in front of him. With that, he let out a loud whinny of fright, rearing back some. It took him some time that what had jumped in front of him was another horse, in which he slowly calmed himself. "Oh dear. I'm dreadfully sorry, I'm afraid you scared me."

Seeing his reaction Flik felt sorry he even thought doing something like this. He wanted to surprise him not to scare him to death.
'' Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. I do apologize for my recklessness. ''
He examined him better. It was not the first time that he saw others that wore clothes but he had to admit this was most impressive outfit he had seen till now. And this stallion had something strange on his nose. Something he had never seen before. He came closer to examine it better.
'' My name is Flik. Could you tell me what is that you're wearing on you're nose? This is the first time I see anything like it. ''

Abel finally calmed himself and smiled warmly at the other stallion. "Oh, it's quite alright. I'm afraid I'm rather easy to frighten." He explained. He watched as the other examined him, quite honestly, doing the same with him. This stallion was the second that he saw with clothing on, the first with a weapon. It was good to know that there were others that also wore clothing like humans did. He bowed his head at Flik's introduction, but blinked at his question. "It's nice to meet you Flik. I'm Abel Nightroad." He replied before looking down to his nose, "oh, these?! These are my glasses."

So the item he was looking at for the first time had a name but what was a use of such thing. It was see through the main reason Flik took such interest in the item. And for a second he thought he should get glasses for himself. It looked like a good fashion item.

The wind stallion blinked a bit at the other stallion's question. He had to wonder how he could explain what his glasses were generally used for. "Well... humans usually wear them. I believe they help them with their vision." He answered as simply as he could. He didn't think he could explain why he had them though if the question was brought up... he simply didn't have the answer.

Extension of vision field could be useful. One could see danger before it would be too late or spot a nice place for resting or eating and avoid a chance of passing by it.
'' So do you see farther than before you had glasses? ''

Abel nodded. "Yes, something like that." He responded, before adding, "or they just help them see things that might be hard for them to see... like that strange lettering they have."
At the second question, he had to shrug a bit. "Well, yes and no. I can mainly just see better than farther with my glasses."

Flik needed some time to process all this new information he just got still he didn't understand it all. He took a note for himself to try out one of these glasses when he gets a chance.
He studies Abel little more. They had something in common. Both wore clothes and Abel's looked very interesting to Flik. It was elegant and... oh wait what are those... it was just now that Flik noticed Abel had wings. Very beautiful ones.
'' Oh you have wings?! I wish I had them too. What kind of feeling is it to travel through sky? ''
For a moment it seemed to him that he might be asking too many questions at once.
'' Oh I'm sorry. Am I boring you with my questions? ''

The tall stallion tilted his head when Flik seemed to notice something on him. He was about to ask what it was and look for it when he mentioned his wings. Chuckling softly, he fluttered them lightly. "Don't be sorry... there is nothing wrong with asking questions. One wouldn't learn anything if they didn't ask questions." He explained when the other was concerned about boring him. "I cannot say what others with wings feel when they fly, but when I travel through the air... I feel pure relaxation. It is quite calming for me, mainly because I'm so clumsy on my feet I'm afraid."

Flik smiled. Of course he wasn't serious even though he wished he had wings too. It seemed so carefree to him to fly. And sky looked like a safe place one could run away when troubles of land world were to heavy to bare. And when you wouldn't want to be found you could hide you're self behind the clods. Reach the places that sees so far out of reach. Even get the best fruits from top of the trees.
Yea he drifted away in a daydream imagining how would it be if he had wings.

Abel smiled softly at Flik's 'admittance' of jealousy and shook his head just slightly. "Now, you don't need wings to fly. One can easily fly with just a happy thought, a special feeling, or a great hope or dream." He told the other, flicking his tail softly, the silver strands lifting from the ground only briefly before touching down again.
Seeing that the other stallion now seemed to have a dazed expression on his face, the taller of the two tilted his head, "Are you alright?"

Abel's words brought Flik back from his daydream.
'' One really can fly on just happy thought?! ''
In amazement Flik tried to figure out how that would work. And try as he might he just couldn't bring that concept to work. After all he had no happy thoughts he would like to remember. They all still hurt to much.
'' Show me! ''
Determined to learn the secret of flying without wings Flik gave all his attention to Abel. And than he remembered Abel had wings and didn't need happy thoughts to fly. This made him tilt his head to one side for how was Abel to show him how to fly without wings when he had wings to fly.
