I have a soft spot for ratties. My boyfriend didn't understand it at first, but they've grown on him. xd I live in a very remote city, middle of nowhere, so it's very hard to get different types. All of my six girls are black hooded, and sometimes, it's hard to tell them apart.
Anyone who knows rats, knows that seed mixes aren't good. I don't feed my babies it, after I learned about it. That's a bit of an old picture. I switched over to some nice blocks, and Suebee's mix. If you haven't heard of it, check it out.
Suebee's Rat Diet
I'm getting three boys I found on craigslist in December. I don't usually trust animals on there, but I talked with the owner, and she seemed to know quite a bit about rats, but couldn't keep them because of conflicts with her roommates.
This guy is one of them, name's Remy. He's stolen my heart, with his big dumbo ears, and curly rex hair. You can see one of his brother's bums in the pic, too.
One of the reasons I love rats so much, is that they act very similar to dogs. They're very social, curious, and love attention. I've actually 'converted' some of my friends, who thought they were icky!

Aww! They are all so cute!
I have come down with GGMR syndrome. I need more rats! I have been scouring around Craigslist for anyone in my area who needs to give up a male or who has a litter with males in it so I can adopt. So far nothing has panned out. If nothing does, I have been thinking of getting a couple of girls for my other cage.

I used to have 12 rats, and I was planning on breeding.
Unfortunately every time the females are ready to breed, they come down with an illness. D': I loved my Oreo and Angel.
But they died. ._.
I'm down to one rat now, he's my baby.
I named him Monkey, he loves to climb.
My dad told me to name him pirate since his one eye doesn't work...
There's a cloud over it.. Well there used to be, now the eye really isn't there.
He's my baby though.

so cute. i think its great you have so many black hoodeds. black hoodeds and pink eye white are less likely to be pciked out as pets because people think they are too boring.
i need biggr cages so i can get more rats >.< i have 4 boys
im one of those converted to rats people. now i cant get enough of the little buggers
i do have a hard time telling my 2 white ones apart. they have the same personalities and are always together. they arent related but they are nicknamed the twins. i just thank god one of them is a rex so i look for the curly wiskers

my favorite was a black-hooded: basil. he was my first rat. <3

I have for males. And I have a soft spot for black hooded ratties, although only one of mine is a hodded.

OMG!!!! blaugh AHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This takes me back to when I had a litter of 8 rattletts. Thier so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was a recent victim of GGMR, when I visited my hometown for thanksgiving. (FIVE pet stores. I wasn't suprised. XD] I saw this adorable little dumbo girl, who's been dubbed Mercury.
I'd like to note the rat smile!
I've never had a dumbo before. As soon as I heard my boyfriend say: "Lookiittt these dumbo rats!" I knew I'd be getting one. xp
The three boys are still in the works. I got a new job, and I'm confident that I can care for them all now. I was worried.

Re: Dumbo -- Yeah, when I went to the pet shop closest to me, they had two boys that someone had given up (and the pet shop took to rehome) and one had dumbo ears. I didn't know for sure if I wanted them, but as soon as I saw the dumbo ears, I had to take that one... but since he had a friend, I took the friend too.
