Thought I'd make a thread about errors or glitches we encounter. I had one to post, but I can't for the life of me remember..... though I did encounter a laceback snake who just kept doig death throes.

I think the worst glitch I've come across so far is the GIM log in one.
Slows my computer to almost a stop. xp

Ok, i have two-
Sometimes my avatar will just go nuts. It seems to happen in Barton by the flower shop. All of a sudden it'll just run in circles....
And when I buy new rings and have to log of and get back on for them to re-appear, it always says I'm in another server and have to wait, but it keeps saying that no matter how long I wait.

When I get new rings in a fight, it just shows up as a blue box with a red ? in it. Then when I exit and return it figures out what it is and I can use it.
One glitch is the Invisible Avatar Syndrome (much like IDS - you can ask me what that is later - if you've seen Level C {a yaoi} then you should be able to figure out what the D stands for). I've only turned invisible after using Ghost, and not when it's active, but when it is almost finished, and then I stay that way until I start the game over. I have been told that other crew members can see me, and then at times no one can see me. Last night I had a crew member disappear on me, and it was exactly the same as when my avatar disappeared.
Last night I couldn't chat at all. I could use the smileys, but I couldn't type.
2 days ago, I could type and my words would show up on screen, but it wouldn't show in the chat window. So if I wasn't in the same space, then you couldn't see what i was saying.
Oh, and the doll quest in the Zen Gardens (very very hard) doesn't seem to work. On the other hand it could be that we all just die so much that we never get far enough to Find her.

i have the same dilema on my very old comp...somtimes i get past it by typing, closing chat window and reading the replies in the small window that shows up below, over the PDA, chat and crew tabs...
it's sometimes annoying, but i'm not much of a talker too
hehe ^^

An error that I hate the most so far is the Map timeout error. It gets sooo annoying having to restart the screen, choosing a server, and trying to remember what you wanted to do before that happened.
Another error that I have come accross is the invite one. For some reason when you invite people they do not always receive the invite. Me and some people were having a big problem with that last night early this morning.

i haven't managed to get an invite at all the whole time I've been playing. Which is weird cause I have no problem inviting other people.

I think they're having mega problems with the clan chat. In the game info it says that clan chat will allow you to chat with ALL clan members wether they're in the game, on a different server or just logged into GIM or AOL.
Must be a LOT of work to get something like that up and running.

Yesterday I could see Dinala's Blue (Friend) Dot, on the map, she could see mine, but even though we were in the same screen, we couldn't SEE eachother. She "whispered" to me (type shows up as purple) and then I found her name on the invite list. Once we were crew, THEN she became visible.
Crazy!! But it happened twice in the same night on different servers, Pink Flamingo, and Taiko Drum.

Each area has different instances.
While you both were on the same server, you were not in the same instance.

It's the first one, where you turn all the levers in the sewers. One of the devs saw all 4 threads bitching about it and said they'd look into it. I got past that a couple hours later and now I'm in barton town. cool
|
