[I was going to engrish the title of the thread, like saying herro instead of hello.. then I realized what the title would be xd ]

Will you vote? Who for?

According to the media, Obama is going to win. But the problem is, the media is often wrong with their pre-election polls and such...

I actually did early voting two weeks ago but am staying up to see the results. Obama is my choice, and so far, no word from my state.

edit: Obama just won California. He is going to be our next President.

Was California voting Obama ever seriously in doubt? ._.
I knew it was gonna happen. Almost all of the coastal states vote blue, especially the ones with lots of big cities.
But Florida's just a big swinger.

They just cannot count votes in Florida. We have screwed up a lot of elections.

Seriously. American elections are too long and complicated for no good reason. We get a little piece of paper with the parties and a circle beside each name. Put an X in the circle beside the person you want and put it in the box.
Oh, and we don't have these weird starting and ending times. It's something like 9am-9pm in most time zones, maybe 8-8 in the ones further west.
Generally we know the results by midnight, with a recount only in the electorates that are really close. Not a whole province gonk

I'm a little confused, actually. If the majority of the electorates go for a party, does that turn the whole states' worth for the party, or can a state be part for one party and part for another?
Because here, each individual electoral vote counts to the party, regardless of where it is. We don't generally have an entire province vote for the same party.

In most states, the popular majority decides who the electoral votes for the state go to. Only one or two states split up their electoral votes. I'm really glad all this election stuff is over now. If I have to see one more ad with some politician saying "I approve this message", I'll scream.

Our elections aren't scheduled...
Just as the campaign posters for the federal elections were taken down, the provincial posters went up gonk
But the selection in my province is pretty lame. It's either separatists, not-not separatists, or the Liberals, who do a mediocre job.

Good ol' Quebec *sigh*
