Third post- since everyone else seems to have personality in a separate psot, let's put that here.
Personality:
Firstly and foremostly, Xue is friendly. Extremely friendly. He loves just about everyone, and is constantly trying to pull new and old friends alike into games and fun activities. If the people around him don't participate, he becomes sad and discouraged, and will usually take it personally unless an explanation is offered. He is quickly bored, but also easily entertained, because everything soon becomes a game to him. Xue manages to simultaneously treat every situation both seriously, and as though it were a game. It is then a mystery: if Xue treats everything like a game, then are games not serious? They are to him; Xue is quite competitive and plays to win, and while he can sometimes be a sore winner, he is usually a gracious loser and encourages his opponents (all the while pumping up his own self confidence).
Hyper? Does not even begin to describe. 99% of the time he seems to have inexhaustible energy, and always, always, always wants to play. He tends to tire out the people he's with quickly if they aren't prepared for him. He also pelts them with questions, but doesn't always stick around to listen to the answers. His attention span is miniscule, and it seems as though he frequently hops from one subject to another. Unless, of course, the subject is monsters. Xue considers himself an expert on monsters, and will frequently personify ordinary fears (like the dark, or spiders) as monsters. His overactive imagination supports this, so that when he is finished with his explanation he too is convinced that the Falling Monster really exists. Or the Stage Fright Monster. Or even the Clown Monster!
Even when people are busy and *gasp* don't have time to play with him, Xue prefers being in a large group to being alone. Some solitude is alright, but after too much time in his own company, Xue becomes anxious and needs to be with others. If left on his own for too long, his imagination can turn against him, and he will start seeing monsters in every corner, which not even he can banish. This may be one reason that he still sleeps with his brother Karan, even though they are both old enough to have their own rooms.
In addition, Xue is both incredibly dense and frightfully naive. While he is occasionally capable of deep insight, he takes most things at face value. Unless he has a blatant reason not to believe something, chances are he will. It is quite easy to deceive him, a fact he has yet to realize, and has already been hurt more than once by people trying to pull a fast one on him. Then again, the person who fools Xue most often is himself.
Hobbies:
Drawing- Even though it doesn't technically qualify as a game, one of Xue's favorite things to do is draw. His favorite subjects are monsters, most of which are created by him and his adoptive brother Karan. But when monsters simply won't do, he also likes to draw nice things like flowers and scenery and people. He's not especially good at it, but he doesn't seem to mind.
Games- Pick a game, any game, and Xue will want to play it. He already has extensive knowledge of card games, board games, clapping games, and playground games (such as tag and red light, green light). If there's a game Xue doesn't know, he'll want to learn it. While he may forget some finer points of the rules if he doesn't play for a while, his memory for games is quite good, and his family is surprised he knows so many.
Learning- Xue's love of games extends into learning new things. If confronted with something he doesn't know how to do, he will generally treat learning it as a game, and give himself points based on how well he does. This applies more to learning practical skills (like how to wash dishes, or how to plant seeds) as opposed to esoterica.
Adventures- While Xue has a fairly limited attention span when it comes to listening to stories, he loves to try acting them out and having his own adventures. Most of these pretend adventures involve monsters, since they are his area of expertise. This is the game Xue plays most often when he is alone, though he also enjoys playing pretend with others.
Cooking- Inspired both by his caretaker DS and his honorary oneechan Nusumu, Xue loves to experiment in the kitchen. He is not experienced as of yet, and the only thing he can make by himself is instant pudding (which happens to be his favorite treat). He can, however, help with certain steps of a recipe if he is told what to do.
Stargazing- A minor interest, something else that Xue and Karan like to do together. Though at first Xue wasn't especially interested, he's found that the sky can be fun to look at, and he especially likes making up stories about the constellations. This is perhaps the only time, aside from when he's asleep, that Xue is actually calm.
Occupation:
Househelper: Hey, Xue's still a kid, and is too young to have any sort of real job. Like all children in the Satourne household, however, he helps with the chores required to maintain such a large family. Specifically, Xue is DS's special kitchen assistant, and helps with the grocery shopping, tending the garden, and taking care of the younger children (not like many kids are younger than Xue anyway).
Notes on Xue:
- Xue is originally from Dragonlamp/Karyasihu. However, he is not one of the Porcelain who were reverted from adulthood to childhood. What happened in Dragonlamp is unclear, but when he arrived in Gaia, he was a Restored Child, and he doesn't remember anything before that. In short, though is from the old shop, he is also exactly as old as he appears.
- Despite his status as a Restored (and now biologically ancient) Porcelain, Xue has never spoken. No one is sure if this is because he can't speak or if he chooses not to speak. He doesn't seem to care much, however, and if he meets someone who doesn't understand his mindspeech, he has great fun playing charades with them. He can understand most Gaian speech if he concentrates (but then, when does that ever happen?)
- At the moment, Xue is mostly illiterate. He has little interest in learning to read, and so far DS hasn't managed to figure out a way to teach him that both works for his learning curve and holds his attention for longer than ten seconds. He is capable of reading (and writing) his name and recognizing certain important words (such as danger, hazardous, 911, etc) but little more.
- Like most Porcelain from Dragonlamp, Xue only has fleeting memories of the place (dark streets, lots of lamps, despair, and so on). He tries not to think about it too much, lest the little he remembers gives him nightmares. He has not been back to Dragonlamp since his arrival on Gaia, and he has no desire to ever find it.
- Xue is aware that DS is not his true mother and addresses her in a neutral, yet loving way. The other children in the house, however, Xue considers his brothers and sisters. He is very proud of his large family, especially when he sees that most other Porcelain he meets do not have siblings (and if they do, they rarely have as many). He does not respond well to people trying to convince him that his brothers and sisters are not, in fact, his brothers and sisters.

Home: The Girls
 DS heart
Des takes care of Xue and teaches him to cook and gives him a big family. Xue is worried that she spends too much time being sad, but she always tries to have time to play.

Xue and Ying have had problems sometimes. They make up... usually.

Ying found this one at a Halloween party- and blames Xue for it! No fair. The green ghost girl is really mean too.

Yei is Ying's best friend, and a kitty! But she went back to the stars, so Ying misses her. Xue misses her too.

About DS the player!
DS lives in the timezone EST, also known as GMT-5. She works 1-7 M/F, 2-10 Th, and 2-8 Sa (all times PM). Generally speaking, she is online ~10PM-3AM, depending on how much sleep she wants. This varies. A lot.
More to come, maybe? DS is not very interesting.
