Taja walked down the darkend path that lie ahead of her with a smile. With the recent events that have occured in her life she felt as if nothing could make her sad ever again. Her thoughts wondered to her dear Gregory. She wondered what he could be doing at this moment and if he was thinking of her as well. "I like today." she said smiling even wider.

Styx wandered through the field, his tail swaying so that it disturbed the long lush grass below him. His hooves sunk softly with each step into the unaccepting dirt below. He found that since he became bound to the world between Earth and the underworld that he did not quite belong anywhere, a stranger bitterness stirred within him as the darkness tool hold of his soul once more. He mumbled under his breath as he walked, each step painful, “I will show you one day!” His voice was full with a tone of distain and distaste. Grunting he stopped, his ears flicking as his pelt became basked in the soft glowing ambiance of the sun as its snaking tongues licked the horizon. Most would consider it beautiful yet to Styx it was nothing special, he had seen the world beyond this one many times, dragging the souls down to the world beyond to join Hades shadowy company. It seemed that as each day passed the more his soul became filled with darkness, yet this was the price of his curse. At night he was attempt to stare out the constellations that made up the Gods that had punished him so, but night after night he remained unsuccessful. If anything it had now allowed the darkened spirits to take more and more control over him.
All but forgotten now was Styx’s original name, his original colours, he hated his slave name yet at the same time felt a slight fondness towards it.
As his ears continued to flick they picked up the faint mumbling sound that had been released from the lips of another near him. Eyes spinning, heart beating he turned his head. His mind began to think of different scenarios and causes of the sound, though the most obvious was “company” of some description. His snarled in the direction he believed the noise came from, his red eyes only half revealed as the flesh from his jaw pushed itself around his eyes. Never one to be a fan of company he trotted towards the source, fanged teeth revealed, tail swaying defensively behind him as a sharp growl rolled from his mouth with each step.
Mind wandering he allowed himself to think about his plan of attack, he didn’t intend to cause harm, mainly just scare. He preferred solitude.

((I'm no match in Rping skills. xP))
Taja's ears flicked back and forth. "Someone is here..." she said sighlently to herself as a grinned crossed her face. Old memories returned of when a wise skinwalker had appeared out of the darkness to scare her. "Why don't you come out and play?" she asked encouraging it. Taja had changed overtime, she used to act like a foal, now her personality had finally mellowed out into that of an adult. She still was as playful and kind as ever just wiser, and more headstrong. Taja smelled the air and turned to where a different smell was coming from. "No fights, just even meeting." she said letting whoever was there that she intended on not fighting with them.

Styx continued bounding towards the mare, she seemed pathetically "frail", it made him almost believe that it would be easy to attack such a venerable creature, she did not make any effort to move or react to his attacking stance, teeth bore he continued leaping forward with each step, leaving the ground completely for a moment before banging upon it with a strong enough impact to move the ground below. It seemed that that she would make yet another easy victim.
Yet as he approached it found a sudden boredom flash over him, it was like a wave of disappointment, perhaps it was time to venture forward, to find a new victim for him to torment.
Slowing his pace he dug his hooves into the hard cold earth below him. His heart was racing yet it settled swiftly. He was bored.
Ignoring the females words he continued to walk in his dazed motion as each movement took him closer and closer to the stranger before he began to pass her by without even a moments recognition of her existence, he was not interested in games, his duty would not allow for such things.

Taja smiled and laughed. "Another foolish stallion I see.." she said flicking her tail. Taja had seen many stallions just like him pass by many times before and she knew that this stallion wouldn't be the last. For some reason every stallion she meets has to have some cockyness to them. Taja sighed. "How droll... You blend right in with the rest, nothing new." she said with another sigh obiously not please by his game. Taja walked in the opposite direction still slightly chuckling to herself.

Once again ignoring the mares words Styx continued to walk, she seemed most uninteresting to him, her words were childish and pointless. Simply a waste of breath to use your words so foolishly. Granted he had often found himself rambling and mumbling beneath his breath when he lapsed into darkness unable to distinguish between his thoughts and reality. It seemed that this mortal world bore very few creatures of interest, most simple scorned and laughed at him as he passed.
Instinctively he began to sway his tail from side to side, he couldn’t help but feel the thirst for blood that trickled down his throat. It was almost impossible to resist. As he walked he began to mumbling under his breath, it was one the of the occasions when he spoke when really he was attempting to keep such concepts within his mind. "Pathetic little creature, how dare she even consider comparing me." He grunted, spitting harshly upon the ground, pausing for a moment. His burning red eyes staring intensively towards the brown mare. There was nothing fascinating about her, her pelt was an ordinary brown colour, and her hair although tied with feathers seemed somehow limp in comparison to others he had met recently. "Plain" he spat his word towards the mare, his eyes narrowing as his patience began to grow thinner and thinner.
Just like most of the other females he had met they seemed to completely ignore him for his reality, he was after all the avatar for the river Styx, his curse was to escort the souls of the tormented and the twisted to Hades for judgement, he was now stuck between the two worlds. The darkness was also a part of this curse, drifting in and out of his mind, grasping and gripping him with an evil he could not escape. The thoughts swirled removing every inch of light until there was something lingering, a beast of sorts. He was not like those in the world around him. In some way he was damaged.

Taja grined and turned around to face the stallion. "I might be plain, but at least I'm not another clone. Trying to cover up how damaged and selfsentered I am." she said hopeing that her words would cause him to spice up alittle. Taja wasn't looking for a fight, just some excitement in this dull night. "And the sad thing is, is that your probably going to want to fight about it, just like all the others." she said grinning more.
'Now.. Now say your worst. Show me you are different, show me you are a individule. she thought to herself. This stallion did have a strangeness to him.. some evil. On the other hand though there was a deep down light... It was hard to see but it was definatly there, just waiting for the chance to break loose and be free. "So dull stallion. What will you do? Attack me, or walk away and be like the rest or actually do something different?" she antagonized him.
'He will more than likely follow in the others footsteps, and how dissapointed I will be. I was looking for some fun but this stallion just isn't man enough to let loose.' thinking once more Taja sighed and let her muscles tighten, getting ready for what was to come. ((Somewhat better? xD))

((Much better Nala))
Only every hearing half of any conversation he allowed the words he had heard to tumble through his mind as he formulated their meaning, it seemed that she like every other Soquili in the world had decided that she had the power to judge another, she was "worthless", an illusion of time that would soon "disappear into nothingness" like everyone else that he had ever met. It was rather disconcerting that all the encounters of his life seemed in his mind to happen upon the same day, yet on the grand scheme of things years and decades past and his original company was long buried and returned to ash. It was strange how time had not aged him. Yet he knew why, the true of sorts, his curse meant that he would stroll empty and alone for the rest of eternity until his task was complete. Spitting to the floor he grunted, he had no time for such a pathetic little creature, her worlds may have pretended to be strong but just like those before her she would be no match for his overwhelming power, his tail began swaying defensively as his mind started to mumbling incoherently once more. It seemed the darkness was setting in once more. "How dare she, who does she think she is talking to." He grunted and shook his head, tail picking up speed with each gentle motion. "Only creatures of such weak capacity attempt to express themselves in words." He paused before spitting in great distaste upon the floor, one word tumbling to the ground also. "Typical."
It seemed everyone in the world around him was useless, attempting to be stronger and braver than they actually where. True strength came from the silence; he had watched enough strangers to know the truth behind their actions, their eyes meaningless yet revealed their life story in a flash of his dazzling blood red glow. There were few challenges left for him. Mumbling he turned his head, she could attempt to encourage him to attack all she wanted, but the truth was that she was an "utter waste of time." He had no desire to waste his precious moments in the daylight, they too quickly faded to utter darkness as the evil within him stirred and bubbled.
A mumbling spatter erupted from his mouth as he began to walk away, "like other stallions, they wish." He grunted. He had not felt this offended in such a long time, though he suspected that was because most of his brief companions where actually worth of a moment of his time, this creature was a fake. It seemed to him that she wanted to be strong yet in essence she would always be weak, hiding behind the senselessness of words with no meanings. How could she ever hope to be taken seriously with such an atrocious attitude.
Each step sunk into the ground as he walked, he could felt the calm, warming breeze as it flickered upon his face. There was a calming gentleness about it, something within him had always longed to float upon the wind, travelling effortlessly to each destination. Swimming was so hard, the conditions of the ocean as it rammed into the side of your body caused those of a weak mind to crumble, the immense pressure and lack of oxygen made those with little stamina light headed causing them to drown. It was pathetic of them really. All pretenders. People longing to be more than they are. But the truth is that once a path has been chosen there is no going back, a tiger cannot swap its strips for spots.
He stopped, head slowly looking behind him as he took one last look at the latest victim of the world, her plainness was boring, her words feeble and unfounded, her stance primitive. "An utter waste of time." He spoke, his words bitter. He did not care if he was being watched or not, he would not bend to the will of those feeble creatures around him. His will and path were his own, or at least influences by the tiny sliver of his mind that was not consumed by darkness. It had been a long time since he had actually cared of the opinions of others.
Now was no exception.

"If that is what you think than continue to be just another dull stallion." she said turning and walking past him. Her intentions had changed. Now all she desired from this stallion was his darkness. Taja had always been the light to everyone else around her, and to be truthful, she was tired of it.
It was sickening watching others come to her and expecting such kindness. Her bones and soul pounded with the hope of some evil. "Fakeness is not what I am." she said to the stallion, her eyes somewhat changed. "I simply am stating facts, and a stallion such as your self has no conciousness." Taja spoke once more as her lips moistend at the thought of him possibly showing her the dark.
"If you decide that you are up to it, and want to not be just another clone follow me." she said hopeing that he would. Maybe what this stallion needed was a change in pase; maybe someone to show him a different way of living... or in certain cases, not living. Taja turned to the left after walking forward a bit. She could knew there was alittle feild up ahead and it had marvouls creatures in it.

A foul hatred began to bubble up within Styx as he listened to her words, each of them pointless and agitating to him. He could not stand being classified and taunted like some simply minded idiot. He had chosen his path, and now he would walk along it, uninterested by the world this plain creature had in mind, no intention of following someone who interested him so little.
Spitting to the floor in anger he revealed the fang like teeth that lay within his mouth, each dripping slightly with saliva as he let out a mighty growl. He walked along he course, his feet impacting with a soft tap. His mind began to race about the incoming darkness, he wished he could delay it, although it was hours away it lingered in the back of his mind like a painful memory.
---------------------------------Edited Monday 8th December 2008---------------------------------
After walking for what seemed like a short eternity Styx seemed to forget all about what he was doing. His heart was pounding within his chest and his mind was fading in and out of the darkness. There was something disturbing about his nature that even as the light began to fade he could not help but feel the call to run into the thick of it. Step by step he started to pick up speed until eventually he was running in full pelt. The wind was calming, soothing all most in the night so harsh and cold.
He felt free, alone, but free once more.
