It was his first time out and about, to get to stretch his legs outside of a room that wasn't run by the Lab and those in charge of it. Not a tech as far as any of his eyes could see! It was a good day he decided. He'd asked to be dropped off a while ago by his father, wanting time on his own... he was so sick of everyone watching him, waiting for him to flip out and mess up. He as sick of being asked about what happened on 'that day'. He didn't even want to think about it, just wanted to be allowed to do things on his own again...
As such he hadn't even bothered to say 'bye' to June as he left the car, instead he ran ahead as fast as his clawed feet would take him so that he didn't have to listen to another warning about how he had to control himself, how he had to do this, do that, etc... the warnings about what would happen if he didn't behave were well known enough. After all he'd spent the last couple weeks of his life chained up aside from the times he was allowed to go to a class or two.
He was actually feeling rather... content at the moment, watching the animals moving around in a mountainous exhibit. The zoo wasn't a place he'd ever been before, he'd never even been to a pet store... the only animal he'd ever met was Slythor's odd, blue bird... but now that he was here and watching them he found them to be rather... relaxing. He leaned against the railing of the exhibit, resting his head on his arms and watched with no other care in the world... for the moment.

Tykier's mom gave him money to go to the zoo, by himself, without Eve. He paid the entrance fee, went inside, and glanced around the remarkable place. He then headed for the lion's cage. He watched the lions and lionesses, wide-eyed, and started to read the plaque in front of him. Ty, then, looked back up to the lions, and watched them prowl around a little more before going to the rare giant panda exhibit.

The yellow eye on Duncan's forehead worked on a complete separate wavelength from the rest of his eyes. It seemed to always being darting around, taking stock of those around it, sizing them up, and deciding on whether or not those things presented a danger to Duncan. It was akin to a security system of sorts that was always working even when Duncan wasn't paying attention or was asleep.
It looked at the people, the animals, even the foliage and decided on what the threat level of each thing was and it was filed away into Duncan's brain for later... it wasn't until Tykier's arrived that it found something that it thought was truly dangerous because it recognized him to be what Duncan was...
Duncan's body bristled and he jerked up from watching the horned animal in front of him and he found himself looking back and forth... it was a bad feeling he got and his entire form stiffened. Something dangerous was around he realized though it took him a moment to find what exactly it was... and then he saw him and all three of his eyes narrowed slightly. Another child from the labs, not just that but one with Wrath's blood DNA in him... Just seeing the kid put Duncan on edge, like one predator meeting up with another one.
His interest in the animal waned as he watched Tykier closely, sizing him up.

Tykier just watched the cute pandas, unaware of Duncan's staring. He smiled and laughed when the largest panda toppled over a log trying to chase down the smaller one with a game of "tag."
He, then, felt something inside telling him that someone was watching him. Ty looked up from the panda exhibit, and saw Duncan. Staring at him. This made Tykier feel very uncomfortable, and there was a weird feeling inside of him, but he just couldn't make it out... Was it Anger?

Duncan could help the anger rising in him, his trio of eyes narrowed slightly and before he knew it he was walking toward the new kid... it wasn't hard to pick out people that were from the same place of origin as him. They had this certain feel to them, the aura's they had but this one, this one bothered him in a way that nobody else he had before.
The preteen stopped in front of Tykier just out of arm's length, wings giving a little twitch, looking him over very carefully and it took everything in him not to instantly take a shot at the kid... he looked younger then he was, smaller, he shouldn't pick on him but the desire was there...
"Hello." He greeted, giving a smile that held in it no warmth.

Tykier was a little twitchy at the big spawn's greeting. Maybe he should try to make friends with this guy...
"Hi..." He looked up at the pre-teen, scared, yet angry at the same time. Tykier just looked at big kid's three eyes. All watching him.
"May you please stop looking at me? It's uncomfortable," he said kindly. He just had to say something about that. It was irritating him. Tykier never met a spawn who made him feel this way.

Duncan gave a bit of a smile as he took a step closer to Tykier, as if challenging him, "But your the most interesting thing here." He said, his interest in the animals waning away. This kid was way more interesting then the anything else he could run across at the moment, another like him. He had always wondered if there were more like him, more who had Shar's blood running through their veins, making them dangerous but this one...
"You seem... rather nice, don't you?" He murmured, sounding a little confused by it and felt a bit envious, that he seemed to be in control of his darker side.

Tykier stepped back and raised his voice, "Excuse me, but I'm not an animal!" He was trying to control his anger, but only just.
At the tween's weird question of why he was nice, he rose his head, and watching the kid's middle eye, which was looking at him making him more nervous, Ty said, "Y-Yes... I'm part Abstinence... W-What are you..?" He was a tiny bit curious. He can tell that the big kid had Shar's DNA. But doesn't know where the wings came from...

"That's debatable." He murmured, holding up a hand to show off the scuff marks on his wrist, "I've spent the passed few weeks in chains because of the DNA we share."
Duncan crossed his arms over his chest, his metallic wings giving a little twitch causing them to give off a soft, chiming sound, "Liberality." He told him simply, wondering what the Abstinence angel was like... apparently very blue and feathery and nice from what he gathered from this kid.

Tykier stepped back again, he was now getting more nervous than ever, and wide-eyed. This kid was chained up!!?!
Tykier straightened up and tried not to sound scared, "Okay, I am Tykier..."

Duncan couldn't help it, a grin spreading over his lips as Tykier took a step away from him and he could feel himself relaxing a little. He as able to get the other boy to retreat which made him the dominate predator of the two of them, "Tykier, my name is Duncan." He told him, holding out one clawed hand out to the other for a shake.

Tykier stopped and breathed in. He took two steps forward, and shook Duncan's hand with his left. Looks up at Duncan, now smiling/smirking, and asks, "Why were you so tense?"
Because he was raised by a good witch, Tykier could 'feel' what other people are feeling. In this case, he could 'feel' Duncan get relaxed when he backed up.

Duncan shook the other boy's hand before releasing it, "I know what I am, what you could have been... I wanted to make sure you weren't dangerous." He said, looking Tykier over from head to toe. He didn't look like a danger, seemed nice enough, "I know what I am, the one our DNA came from, and what we can be like... I was just being careful."
He was feeling more amiable now, "You traveling the zoo with anyone? Or would you like to join me?"

Tykier smiled, it was warm and gentle. "I'm not with anyone, my Mom dropped me off. And sure... I was getting kinda lonely, just watching the pandas," he said, hoping that he made a new friend out of Duncan. "So... What do you want to do first?"

"Yeah, I had my father drop me off too. Not as much fun with parents around all the time." He said motioning to one of the animals, a creature with horns, "I was watching those but I figure we can find a map and see what all there is."
He decided that since he was in the older and stronger of the two meant that he should take charge. He then turned to start in the direction that he'd seen people gathering to see if the map was where they were.
