I hear her . . . every night, on the edges of waking and dream, I can hear her . . . how sad she sounds . . .
Edel Garden. Always, I dream of it. A city of gold, shining in the perfect sunlight. What majesty it exudes, a jewel upon the land. But always, always, I hear her, and the wonderful, beautiful, shining city is shrouded in darkness, hidden away from me. From all of us.
I know now. Know what I must do. What we all must do. We must find Edel Garden again. But we can't do it alone . . . we're missing someone . . . We're missing the Metherlence family. We're missing the Seven Glittering Jewels.
Or at least, five of them. I know where one is.
She is the one I always hear. Queen of Edel Garden . . . Reverie Metherlence.
And the other one . . . ? Why, that's me.
I know, Mother. I can hear you. I hear your call. And I will answer it.
But I also know . . . that until I find you, until I find Edel Garden, I will hear you. Every night, on the edges of waking and dream, I will hear you . . . hear you weeping and in pain.

~Covenant Song of Reverie Metherlence Edel Raids. Beings of infinite power. Together, bound by pact with a human, they become an invincible weapon. For many years in Guardia, the two races, the Edel Raids and the humans, have lived in an uneasy harmony. Despite their efforts to hide, Edel Raids have been hunted down and sold in black market. Sky pirates raid the rich, greedy lords oppress their villages and towns. And beneath all this, hidden in the shadows, a war rages between two factions: the Arc Aile, sworn to protect Edel Raids, and the Chaos Choir, who oppose Arc Aile and all it stands for. Recently, word has reached both factions that Edel Raids everywhere have been acting strangely. Both believe that this behaviour will eventually lead them to the legendary city of Edel Garden - the fabled birthplace of Edel Raids - has been discovered. In a race against time, both rush to find it: one to protect, one to exploit. Now, all Edel Raids must answer the call . . . the song of the Queen of Edel Garden, calling them home. Will they join with Arc Aile, and protect a place where none of them have ever seen, or will they side with Chaos Choir, and hand their fellow Edel Raids over in vain hope that they will survive?

Information & Terminology Guardia - The country where this RP takes place. Edel Raid - An entity with the capability to React with a human and become a weapon. Edel Raids can only be pacted with one Pleasure at a time. In order to get a new Pleasure, the first one must be killed. They possess the ability to use Songs. Song - The Edel Raid/Sting Raid equivalent of a magic spell. Pleasure - A human that has Reacted with an Edel Raid or Sting Raid. React - To merge with an Edel Raid or Sting Raid, thereby harnessing their power. Sting Raid - An imitation of an Edel Raid, created by imitation Elemental Gelades. Sting Raids are generally treated as tools by the general populace. They differ from Edel Raids by being exponentially weaker than Edel Raids (3 Edel Raids can take down an entire army of Sting Raids) and possessing the ability to have as many Pleasures as they so please. Elemental Gelade - A jewel embedded on an Edel Raid's body. It marks them as Edel Raids. Also known as the core stone. Edel Garden - The legendary city of gold, where Edel Raids are born. Arc Aile - An orginization whose goal is "to protect the Edel Raids, as well as provide them with happiness." Arc Aile has a number of Edel Raid Complete Protection Squads that are sent to retrieve Edel Raids and their Pleasures, if they have any. Chaos Choir - A group that opposes Arc Aile. Most members are Edel Raids or Sting Raids. Seven Glittering Jewels - A name given to the Metherlence family, strongest of the Edel Raid bloodlines. There are (unsurprsingly) seven of them. About Attributes: When an Edel Raid and her Pleasure React, the Edel Raid offers an attribute to the Pleasure. Sometimes it is an enchancement of an ability, such as speed, attack, or defense, where others might grant an element specialty, such as air, water, or fire. e.g., Ren is an air-based Edel Raid, so her Songs often have something to do with the wind, whereas Kuea increases Rowen's attack speed when they React. About Invoking Songs:After the initial Pact, an Edel Raid must sing a three-line Song to invoke a Reaction. The first two lines reflect the type of relationship between Edel Raid and Pleasure, while the third and last line ends invariably with, "we make the vow". e.g. Kuea & Rowen: "In a gallant heart, embrace great wisdom, we make the vow!" Tilel & Wolx: "Our hearts are beating merrily, with a bewitching sigh, we make the vow!" Lilia & Rasati: "Prevailing upon the timid blunderer, and the bare-handed, we make the vow!" About Reactions: The power of a Reacted Pleasure and Edel Raid or Sting Raid is directly proportional to the relationship they share. Should the bond between the Pleasure and Edel Raid or Sting Raid weaken, their powers weaken with it. As well, the comfort level of Reactions varies with experience. Predictably, the power and duration of a new Reaction is much weaker than that of a pair that has been Reacting on a regular basis for years. About Edel Raid Names:An Edel Raid often has two names: their real name, which invariably is incredibly long, and their "common" name, which is an equivalent of a nickname. This system of dual names serves not only as an easier method of calling the Edel Raid by name, but also as a protective mechanism. e.g., Reverie is known as "Ren", Tickle is known as "Tilel" About Hunters and Sealing Charms:Edel Raid Hunters are people who, as their title suggests, hunt Edel Raids. They do not kill them, but rather capture them to sell through the black market. Most often than not, a hunter's main tool for netting their prizes are sealing charms, long ribbons inscribed with symbols that disable an Edel Raid's powers. Though the common Edel Raid usually succumbs to the charm, the Edel Raids who are members of Arc Aile are specially trained to resist the power of the charms. This, however, can be overridden for both the stubborn Edel Raid and those of Arc Aile by speaking the Edel Raid's full name. (Hence the reason for Edel Raids to want a "common" name.) About Recharging:Edel and Sting Raids are, in a sense, battery-run; they have a limited amount of energy to React and fight. To regain that energy, they have to perform some sort of action. e.g., Kuea recharges by eating (a lot), Metherlences recharge through sleep, Tilel recharges by coming into physical contact with her Pleasure.

Remember that Sting Raids are persons too. And because they're with your character at all times, they will somehow be significant in the story. So, if you have seven Sting Raids with you, you create seven Sting Raid profiles, plus their Pleasure. DesperatelyNeedingHelp My character is an orphan. He/She never knew his/her parents, and wandered since he/she was young. Good God no. Give me a very, very, VERY good reason why you want to kill your parents so badly. Until then, NEXT. EyeCutzMyselfs My character comes from a really rich family. But their whole family was murdered. Now they're an orphan, seeking revenge on- REJECTED. NEXT. Literate If I'm a Human or Edel Raid, am I allowed to React with someone else's character? Of course you can! That's what makes life interesting. Mind, you should probably ask the other person and see if they want your character as a partner first before you attempt a Pact. Observant Hey, I noticed that all the Edel Raids you mentioned so far are all girls. Are there such things as male Edel Raids? What about Sting Raids? That is indeed a very good question. I myself am not very clear on it, but even though they do not specify in the manga or websites whether Edel Raids are co-ed or purely female, all the Edel and Sting Raid characters in the manga and anime are indeed female.
