This is a collection of guides and tips and info on all of the aspects of Zomg Chapter 1 from zomg players all over Gaia. for those of you struggling to level up, here is the info you need. This thread hasn't been updated a lot since 2010, so don't be surprised if some guides or tips are outdated. We never bothered to trim those out. (it was hard enough finding most of these in the first place!) If you still have trouble solving your problem in Zomg, my suggestion is to take it to Gaia's zomg forum and ask yourself. hope you find what you're looking for, wanderer!
G'hi explained
visit the gaia zomg page. visit the Zomg advert page note: the advert page will take you out of Gaia.

Wandering Code: Some things every Wanderer should know
~~~The Oath I, the Lost Soul, Do so solemly swear to follow my heart, And wander until the end of my days, To find the truth of my life, Under alegiance to the Great Seven, The Uknown One, and the unfinished moon.
~~~The Legends
Wandering Lord The highest of the wanderers, this wanderer supposedly possesses the keys to vast, forbidden knowledge, such as the meanings of the universe, love, and the power to live forever. Many other Clans have such since attempted to get their hands on this one person, but so far, such attempts have failed. The Wandering Lord is always one step ahead.
The legendary Wanderers Seven or so selected wanderers by the Wandering Lord, experts in their own fields. Not much is known about them, as they are the only ones who know the whereabouts of the Wandering Lord. But they are easily recognizable by a special mark given to them by the Wandering Lord, a special gold bracelet worn around their left wrist.
The Chosen Is someone (wanderer or non wanderer) was ever to aid the great wanderers in a certain time of need, most often they would be rewarded with a special blue bracelet, a mark of high honor. Any wanderers who would come across The Chosen must show them high respect, for they have done each and every one of them a service.
~~Types of wanderers, names for others.
Wanderer- Term for an individual who wanders from place to place looking for/in pursuit of something.
Traveler- A wanderer who searches for his sense of purpose or reason in the world.
Heart-locked- Slang terminology for a wanderer who has found his purpose
Dusty- Slang terminology for a prior wander who has settled down in one place for a reason
Nomad- A type of wander who is heart-locked that his purpose is solely to wander. Nomads tend to be less social than other wanderers, and usually travel alone.
Matindas- Type of wanderer heart-locked on collecting or pursuing information of a specific kind (e.g. recipes, studies on the animated, map makers, etc.)
Packers- Type of wanderer heart-locked on the collection of certain objects (e.g. rings, clothes, furniture, etc.)
Hosts/helpers- Non-wanderers marked by wearing a red bracelet on their left wrist, this is a sign to show wanderers they they are friendly and hospitable. If ever in need of help, these non-wanderers are always welcome to lend a hand, or even a room for the night!
Spires/Skimmer- Seafaring wanderers, often confused with pirates, unfortunately. Spires are those types of heart-locked wanderers who believe their purpose to be merely to sail. Skimmers are simply seafaring travelers.

Rating:N/A Why I chose this thread? this isn't really a guide to zomg, but it's a really fascinating thread I discovered about the final level in Zomg, which also reveals pretty much the entire conculsion of the storyline plot of the Gaia manga. This forum is a short discussion between the members of Serpent corp, a group of gaians who were some of the first to defeat the final boss. every now and then, they drop little hints as to what the final level is like, but they can only really say "the conclusion will blow your mind." you may also notice, some of the groups members are actually people who have written guides posted right here in the library. in any case, it's a really interesting read, so if you like zomg and have any time on your hands, feel free to check it out.

Tips from our wanderers for Zomg: these are just some small interesting things wanderers might have learned from personal experience that maybe not everyone knows. If you have any tips, be sure to post them!
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
tip from: Citrine Knight TIP: having trouble whispering someone with a space in their username? use the plus sign as a space. it works! note: you don't have to use a plus sign when inviting said username. so wierd. apoc note: you can also use an underscore " _ "
tip from: Alysoun TIP: triggering the triple switch in SS can be hard. make sure you dont accidentally set your switch off ahead of time,nd be sure to wait for the leaders confirmation, or you could set off the alarm! also, make sure you really are hitting the switch. the third switch can be tricky sometimes: view map There's a thing right in front of the main door that LOOKS like a switch, but it's not. You click it, and it'll turn a light on or off. Nothing else D:
Tip from: Confresi TIP: sometimes you might see a ring with a lightning bolt through it hovering over someone's head. that mean their connection has been lost. they've either been away from the computer for too long, or they quit.
Tip from: Herby TIP: according to quixter, every 100 monsters you kill, you get a ring. although there have been reports of getting a ring for less than that. you can also find rings faster from chests and whatnot around zomg.
Tip from: Herby TIP: sometimes in the game, you might hear the soundtrack that plays when you complete a quest, but you're not working on one. what happens is you've actually earned a zomg badge. check your profile to see it! + by Ap0c You get Badges for killing 50 of each monster, another for killing 500 of a certain monster, also for killing 5000 of a certain monster, finding certain places on the map, completing quest chains, and doing other random things.
Tip from: Confresi TIP: If zOMG! is not letting you on, or anything of the sorts, just check the zOMG! Forum, and look at the Stickies(announcements). Qixter always puts helpful stuff to keep us up to date there.
Tip from: Confresi TIP: If you can't find a Crew for a certain Boss, or Quest; head over to the zOMG! Forum and set up a thread asking for help on it. You're bound to get help.
Tip from: Confresi TIP: Orb Farming is a great way to level up your Rings and overall CL pretty quick(faster than doing quests or killing alone). Having the Angel Set(boosts Luck and item drops, including Orbs and Rings) and also having a Crew boosts your chance of getting drops. Usually, while farming, you stay in one area with a large spawn of a particular monster, and you kill them as soon as they spawn; thus giving you more Orbs, Rings, and Badges even; faster.
Tip from: Gemi9 TIP: In my opinion, you should always carry at least 1-2 Attack Rings, and 1-2 Heal Rings. Without Heal Rings, you will suck in crews, and without attack rings, you suck alone. Heal rings are also good during solo plays too, because when you get attacked by that killer hoard of [insert animated here] you don't want to have to kneel, and wait....and wait...while the animated attack and then kills you.
Tip from: ~+Moon~Shower+~ TIP: If you have a laggy internet, don't move through a hostile area too fast. You could end up being followed by an unseen/unloaded horde of gnomes or whatever.
Tip from: Riot of Words TIP: When you're wearing Rings with high CL you're loot drop rate drops on easier monsters. So taking off you're high CL rings and putting on low CL rings when you kill them will increase there drop again. +by Herby if you ever find chests in certain zomg areas, they will not give you much if your charge level is too high for that area. for example, opening up the chest in dead man's pass with a CL of 5 will give you nothing but air. lower it down to around 2 and you can get much more.
Tip from: Etrius218 TIP: If you target an enemy and switch weapons with the number keys you can get multiple hits in at one time.
Tip From: qsandas TIP:Here's a little tip. When changing hotkeys, make sure to to set a key for "next enemy" and another for "target self"
THINGS YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T KNOW
Tip from:Herby TIP:end up dazed? have to wait for your rings to unlock? no worries! when you're in the null chamber, open up your "suppress CL" thingy, and suppress your CL. once you do, the bar will go down and one of your rings will unlock. then open it up again and unsuppress. continue to do this, and all of your rings will be unlocked in a manner of seconds. SCANDALOUS!
Tip from: Herby TIP: according to Gaia legend, Chuck norris discovered a strage egg on his doorstep. it was a baby landshark, and he raised it to adulthood. it now runs free in gold beach. watch your step, or you might become it's next victim!!!! if all else fails, call attention to yourself by yelling LANDSHARK RAEP!!!!! and someone should come to your aid. + you can also yell GIFTRAEP in bassken for assistance.
Tip From: Herby TIP: those cherry fluffs in zen can be a real pain in the neck, right? that depends. if you dont attack them with a fire-type ring, and stand completely still while they blow themselves up, theres only about a one-in-five chance they'll hit you. s'true.
Tip from: Ghorroj TIP: Using the Scaredy Cat ring on OMGWTF turns the tide of the battle and allows you a much-needed rest from his attentions. In fact, this can be used on any single boss, but has a lesser effect due to the fact that they can't fly away. The effect ends if the boss is attacked (hense the lesser effect). Also works on the Nexus quest monsters (Lantern nexus, anybody?).
tip from:Q TIP: when you're speaking in crew chat, type /me before whatever you say and it will change the format in which you say it! example: {regular} someone77: I will blast you all with my lazer eyes!!! {/me will blast you all with her lazer eyes!!!} Someone77 will blast you all with her lazer eyes!!! + By Herby A couple of other quick texts you should know: /w [usename here] allows you to whisper to anyone on gaia if they're online /invite [username here] allows you to invite anyone on gaia to where you are if they're online, even if they are on another server!
tip from: herby62 TIP: DMP is a really special place in zomg. you may have noticed if you and someone else go in, only you end up on the other side of the gate (unless you are in a crew) DMP is very much like a game level. every time you reenter it, it refreshes itself, unless you are with a crew. also, after defeating omgwtf, monsters will not respawn basically, go in with a crew, or you'll always be alone there.
tip from: Herby62 TIP: everyone knows Kat's doll is a total Biotch, and it's near impossible to defeat her. unfortunately, you can't progress quest chains in zomg unless you defeat her. so obviously you'll have to cheat. how, you might ask? you can't go into her zone unless you are less the a 4.1 CL... but you can RAISE your cl once you're inside. first, go to the null chamber, and take off all of your rings except for two (make sure they are useful ones!) DONT SUPRESS!!! head to zen and enter the instance zone. now, before any animated pop up, re-equip all of the rings you took off. you'll find you can put rings on outside null, but you can't take them off. either way, if you can top a CL of about 6.0, you can solo Kat. if you aren't 6.0, ask a higher leveled friend to go in with you and repeat the above steps. as long as you get in a couple of hits to Kat, your quest will be completed! (mind you, you won't be able to recieve any rewards once you defeat her since CL is too high. be sure to lower before you talk to katsumi again! +By Herby this technique works for ALL instance bosses!
tip from: Confresi TIP: during mini-event orb spills, using the double orb power up will allow you to get twice as many orbs!
tip from: Confresi TIP: If you go to My Gaia >> Quests >> Badges you can view all of your progress on certain Badges. It also has information on Badges you might not have even started on. It's very handy. link

other useful/fun threads for gaia ~~~
here are some other threads us wanderers have discovered that are plenty useful and fun for hanging out on gaia!
Link: a guide to fish happiness Rating:***** for those fish enthusiasts out there, I encourage you to check out this very handy guide! gives a detailed descrition of each type of fish, what makes them happy and what they dont like, as well as other good-to-know tips for raising the perfect tank-family!
OTHER TIPS CONCERNING GAIA ~~~
Tip from:Confresi TIP: STILL NEED PERMISSION~
Tip from: Herby TIP: If you're at the marketplace looking for seasonal items (holiday/ gaia event items) buy them when theyre not in season. a gaia santa hat is way cheaper in ths summer than right before christmas!
Tip from: Herby TIP: If you're at the marketplace looking for exclusive cash shop items, DONt BUY THEM RIGHT AWAY, but don't wait till the last second. Cash shop items sell REALLY expensive the first few days at the MP, then shoot up near the end of the month (or whenever they leave the cash shop) wait at least a couple of weeks; you'll save yourself a lot of money that way!
Tip From: Swain TIP: if your going to buy a monthly collectible buy it at the end of the month.Chances are if you buy it on the 15-18 youll be spending about 5k more than at the end of the month like 27-30(1)
