i need metal bands that represent halloween the best but aren't
black, doom,or thrash
preferably folk, viking, heavy, symphonic power, and melo death

King Diamond, and even though there kinda doomy-folk, The Mist and the Morning Dew have a really nice fall feeling to them.

Herr Kaiser Matthelm King Diamond, and even though there kinda doomy-folk, The Mist and the Morning Dew have a really nice fall feeling to them. is a wonderful album. And it has Trick Or Treat song wink .

Shame you don't want doom, Black Sabbath's darker stuff, and Reagers' Saint Vitus have great stuff for a Halloween theme.

Helloween. Duh. xp But you just want heavy powerful bands, right? Not just something that would make good background music, like John5's "July 31st"? Hmmm... I don't know, it's 10:27 of the night of Halloween over here, so you probably don't need this anymore anyway. sweatdrop

Helloween.
Iced Earth has a whole album called Horror Show about horror movie monsters and the likes. Good, powerful stuff.
Ygradrassil or however you spell it is good folk, it has a lot of elements of good Ambient black metal, and it has a good mood on a lot of the songs.
