It depends on what you like. If you love vampire's then go read The Vampire Armand. It is very descriptive. I had one of my friends start to read it & she wouldn't give it back till I told her it was due.

The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Johnathan Stroud is really good. Starts with the Amulet of Samarkand. Check your local library.

Awesome. But I hope you don't think the "Cullen" in my name has anything to do with Twilight, because I dislike the series. ^^;;

Tuck Everlasting
Harry Potter
Behind the bedroom wall (About The Holicost and the jews)
Narnia
The Tree Sheperds Daughter and Into The wild wood
Any Pirate of The caribein books

(But then again this is what I like. Though I do recommend Tuck Everlasting The beginning is soooo boring but, it gets a lot better.

Seems like I keep making my rounds on this subject, but

PHILIP JOSE FARMER'S
Riverworld Saga

SyFy Channel (back when they were Sci-Fi Channel) made a (somewhat) poorly adapted original movie if your familiar with that.
The books are amazing.

I doubt you'll find anyone who read them that hated them.
