((sorry I couldn't think of a title xP)) Pluvindia lay against a rock, staring into the canopy above her. Watching the birds fly from one tree to another. Nothing went through her mind except the quick stream of colors she saw as the birds darted from tree to tree. Blinking, she noticed feathers fall from the trees above. Such a beautiful gift the birds gave her! Slowly getting up, she picked up a pretty crimson feather. Smiling, continued to stare up into the trees, waiting for more of their gifts.

Appoloin walked through the forest in his elf form. He had been spending alot of time in this form for some reason. He was carrying an armful of fruit he had just picked. As much as he liked the taste of meat, he wanted something sweeter now and again. A bird when over head and he looked up smiling. "It is rare to see a red bird around any more." He laughed a little and took one of the fruits and bit into it. They were ripe and had the sweetist taste to them.

She turned her head to the side as she heard the noise of something biting into a piece of fruit. The noise came from near by and she started to panic. Glancing to her sides, she saw flickers of red passing through the trees. "Hello? Is Anyone there?" She frowned for a second and wondered what to do. Clutching the feather to her chest, she waited for something to respond.

Appoloin blinked when he heard a voice. Turning and looking past a few trees he saw someone. Starting past the trees he offers a smile. "You seem to be in a bit of a panic. Are you alright?" He bit into his piece of fruit again and watches her.

Noticing the blur stop, she saw it was an Elf! Pluvindia shook her head for a second to calm her nerves. "Ah! I'm ok... I thought you were something else!" Happy to see it was just another inhabitant of the forest she smiled. Eyes going wide for a moment, she quickly bowed. "Um, excuse my manners! My name is Pluvindia...and you are?" She asked, glancing back at him and his fruit.

Appoloin blinked the laughed for a moment. "I'm Appoloin." He bowed his head to her for a moment then took another bite of the fruit. "Would you like some fruit? They just became ripe and are really sweet at the moment." He watched her carefully for a moment. "Who did you think I was anyways?"

She smiled at the sound of his name. "Your name reminds me of an Apple." Giggling she gently picked up a fruit. "Thank you for the fruit by the way." Taking a bite of the fruit she took, she savored the taste. It really was as sweet as he said! Pausing for a second, she swallowed. "I...I thought you were one of those birds. I was collecting the feathers they dropped," She said holding up the crimson feather. "but birds don't make noises like you do!" She laughed. "Now...why would one like you be here?"

"Well I thought it was a nice enough day to come and gather some of the fruit I had been watching. I also wanted something sweet." Appoloin took a bite of the fruit and thought. "The bird that are around here are also really pretty. The feathers that they drop seem like a rare gem dropped from heaven." He laughed for a moment. "I like the red ones the most but the blue ones are also pretty."

Pluvindia nodded her head. "Yes that's true...today is a nice day" She glanced at the sky, which was partically covered by the trees above them. "Fruit picking is interesting too.....but I'd rather just view the gorgious birds above me" She smiled and took a small nibble at the piece of fruit. "I also like the red ones. They remind me of myself....the blue birds ones...not so much." She giggled.

Appoloin took a seat on the ground a little bit away from her. "Well the blue ones remind me of my twin. He is blue well I am red." A smile appeared on his face as he thought. He finished the piece of fruit he was eating. Placing down the few fruit still in his arms, he took the core of this fruit and made a hole on the ground. It was near one of the trees. He placed the core in and recovered the hole. This was something he always did because it helped the trees grow. "It seems the birds have been restless as of late." The comment was mainly out loud to himself.

Pluvindia sighed. "It must be nice to have a twin...." She trailed off, glancing to the side with a tiny frown before watching him place his fruit core into the ground. The small frown which was somewhat visible on her face changed into a smile. She placed her hand on the tree near the hole Appoloin covered. "This tree will stay healthy for a long time, thanks to you." She smiled wider. With the grin still on her face she walked around slowly gliding her hand across the other trees; her back facing him. Hearing his little comment, she frowned for a second, then turned around to face him. A stoic look adorned her face."Something has been hurting the forest of D'ijai. More and more of the birds are disappearing from these lands."

"I do that everything time I eat some fruit. It is like saying thank you to them." Appoloin watched her for a moment before looking up at the sky past the trees. "There are alot of rumours going around about that. I wish the birds would stop disappearing, because if this keeps up then we will be over run by bugs." The last part was trying to make the sad talk happy. He looked back at her and smiled. "I'm sure there is a good reason..."

Pluvindia smiled for a moment as she thought of D'ijai being infested by bugs. "We'd be kicked out of our own home before we know it." She laughed. Feeling a bit tired of being in her elven form, she quickly phased into her elder form. It gave her a sense of security and strength in times that she felt weak.
She immediately swallowed the nearly forgotten half-eaten fruit before sitting down facing Appoloin. "The birds are like sanity. If they fly away, sanity is gone as well." She laughed dryly. She feared the chaos of whatever was causing the birds to flee. Used to being in a place of tranquility and isolation, she wondered how the life would be in a new home of darkness?
I'd rather die than see one.
She sighed and put on a serious face. "I truly believe that rumor... something is disturbing parts of our home. Why don't we follow the birds to see where they're heading? Maybe to another place of peace perhaps?" She hoped to find a bit of sanity; that with each bird flew away with. A new sanctuary. With a grim face, she stood up and prepared to trek along the forest path.

Appoloin thought about that for awhile and smiled. "I think that would be an interesting journey. And one that I would love to take." He got up and shifted the fruit around a little. He only have three more in his arms. "Would you like another piece before we head off?" He started on another piece and smiled again. "I would what another place of peace would look like. I don't think they would be going out of the forest because I here there is nothing for days but sand."
Appoloin stayed in his elf form at the moment because he still had the fruit. "But none the less it will be fun to have someone to travel with on this journey." He was ready to start.

Pluvindia glanced at the fruit he had in his arms and made a faint smile. "You offer me too much...." She thought about the previous times he offered her food. She smiled for a moment and then took a fruit, leaving one in his arms, into her mouth. In one bite, the fruit disappeared. "Thank you again." She grinned.
She started along a trail through the forest. I'm finally going somewhere farther away from this feather-field. The adventure they were going on was one of her first long journeys. Getting away from this place was hard, but with company, she had the drive to do so.
Thinking about where the birds would actually go, she nodded at Appoloin. "Oh ok....." She commented about the sand rumor. "....I wonder where the birds will take us then?" She grinned but started to mumble to herself. "I just hope they aren't going to get us killed." She shuddered at the thought. Blinking for a second to get rid of the idea, she thought of other things. "Aren't you afraid of what could happen?" She asked.
